I very rarely complain about the wattpad community. I've met people who were willing to listen and have intelligent conversations. But it seems the longer I've stayed the more intolerant people I've met.

I, as a pansexual female, personally read a lot of lgbt books. It completely shocked me to find so many people who were biphobic, racist, sexist, or simply blatantly rude type people who felt differently to themselves.

I've seen people angered by bisexual characters having close relationships with the opposite sex. The most common phrase they say being 'I didn't come for straight romance' or 'This is practically a straight book with how much (insert male name) talks to and hugs (insert female name)  I'm leaving' I understand being annoyed with queer baiting. Just about everyone in our community does but simply needing the main character only to socialize with the same sex is why we have so many unrealistic lgbt wattpad books where people of only one gender and having literally everyone to be gay.

I've seen people bash characters or leave a book only because the main character or another character wasn't white. I'm an African American female who loves to see characters I share a similar background with but because how many people do these things the books become harder to find and makes some people less likely to write them. I'm not even going to get into the slurs I've been called in comment sections.

The most recent things that I've either witnessed or had said to me make me really disappointed. One person decided to call me and some other chicks that disagreed with him " a bunch of dumb and worthless bitches who just read the book to fetishsize gay men" when almost all of us said we are part of the community he tried extremely hard to press the idea only men could be in the community.

The amount of sexism I've seen is disappointing in one of the most recent books I read I had to leave on the second chapter because the main character slut shaming his sister. I'm the comments everyone was going and talking about girls being sluts. How it wasn't okay for females to have a lot of sex, when confronted they also said it was only fine for guys to have a bunch of sex. And the amount of people who decided it's alright to judge people for living however makes them happy.
