I've noticed that in books when someone goes to the hospital rooms are pure white and blinding. While that can be true to an extent (and granted much better to show the characters discomfort) it isn't entirely correct. Pretty much everyone in my family is in the medical field so I've been in my fair share of hospitals and I've noticed that most of them are decorated with tacky wallpaper that looks like it's been there for 30 years and fake plants. Sometimes if you're in a nicer hospital you'll get a cute little fountain or something to. Now granted the hospitals I've spent the most time in are pretty run down but they aren't pure white. If anything the walls are white with wallpaper boarders but the white is not pure white. Many people fear doctors because of their white coats and so many times nurses will be colorful and doctors might put pins on their jackets for the patient and their family comfort ( I know that sounds like a pile of horse shit but my mom just graduated nursing school and she told me that fact after one of her classes). Any how my point is the color white causes serious discomfort for people in hospitals. I don't really know why I've gone on a --- rant about it but I figured I'd just put it out there. When a patient is in more intense care like they usually cut the crap and get straight foreword with no decorating and white walls but that isn't the case it really depends on what you have going on. Ok well I have totally over written this, there is nothing wrong with completely white hospital rooms in books and another thing to consider is that the tacky decorations make me feel even more unsafe than white.
I apologize for the terrible, terrible rant on literally the color white 😂
