Rajveer-Naina : Pyaar Ka Dard Hai!

"Akhir kya galti hai meri? Kyun kar rahe hain aap mujhey ignore?",

shouts Naina, unable to bear his ignorance. Why is it affecting her so much, she knows not.

"Enough Cadet Singh, ye mera room hai koi public place nahi jahan aap jaise marzi baat kar sakti hain!",

scolds Rajveer, trying to shield his true feelings by scolding her.

What is his problem? Can't he just tell her how he felt spending those nights with her during the mentorship programme, without caring about the world? Hell even Dr. Mishra gave him the hints that he is in love! Why is he so determined to torture her as well as himself?

"Hun... ek hi pal mein aisa kya ho gaya hai Sir ki apne apni kahi hui baat hi badal daali?",

asks Naina, her voice turned softer. Only if she would have heard the whole of the conversation between Dr. Mishra and her Rajveer Sir that night, when she for the first time felt a pinch of jealousy towards Dr. Mishra and possessiveness towards Rajveer, on seeing Rajveer and Ritu together, then she wouldn't have to go through the pain of asking this question to him.

Rajveer looks towards her, his brows creased.

"Aap kehna kya chahti hain Cadet Singh? Konsi baat?",

asks Rajveer, afraid, had she heard the whole of the conversation between him and Dr. Mishra? And even if she had, could she make out who it is he is in love with?

Naina reminds him the day when she entered his room without knocking...

*Flashback*

"Sir mujhey apse baat karni hai!",

she says in a hurry.

"Relax Cadet Singh. Kya hua?",

asks Rajveer, concerned.

"Aao baitho...",

he invites her to take a seat on the sofa.

"Ahmm... I am extremely sorry Sir, main aise bina knock kiye... I mean I didn't want to disturb you but this is important!"

"Calm down Naina. Ye 'mera' room hai, tum yahan jab marzi aa sakti ho. Bus knock kar lena"

His last line succeeds in skipping Naina's heartbeat. Rajveer, seeing her expression, unable to resist his laughter any longer, laughs out loud. Naina blushes and laughs.

"Bolo kya bolna hai tumhe",

smiles Rajveer.

*Flashback ends*

Turning around, looking away from her, Rajveer tells her,

"Cadet Singh, meri bhi ek personal life hai. Kya apne kabhi kisi aur cadet ko aise mere room mein aatey hue dekha hai?"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina anger tune begins)

Looking heavenwards, he silently thanks god that she didn't hear what Dr. Mishra and he exactly talked about.

With a new determination, Rajveer turns to look at her. His anger, the sudden change in his behavior towards her, hurts Naina to the core.
Staring him, finding it unbelievable that this man standing in front of her is her mentor; her Rajveer Sir, she asks in choked up voice, her eyes at the verge of welling up,

"Kyun kar rahe hain aap aisa?"

Unable to bear seeing her crying, but not wanting to show her how her getting hurt is affecting him, Rajveer turns away.

"Aap ye baat bhul rahi hain Cadet Singh, ki main apka mentor hun; teacher hun, apka dost nahi!",

says Rajveer, with a heavy heart.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

"Kya aap wohi Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat hain jin hone humein ye bharosa dilaya tha ki aap sirf humare teacher hi nahi dost bhi hain?",

asks Naina, her voice low out of helplessness.

Her words pierce his heart, but he chooses to stay strong in front of her. This he is doing not only for himself but for her own good too.

"Jabse hum mentorship programme se aye hain, aap kyun itne badal se gaye hain?",

she asks, feeling helpless.

Her words succeed in skipping his heartbeat. Has she read him? Has he failed in concealing his feelings?

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Taking a deep breath, with a pinch of hesitation in his voice, he says,

"Aisa... aisa kuch nahi hai Cadet Singh.. Apko zarur koi galat fehmi hui hai!"

"Galat fehmi? Class mein mujhey subke samne dantna; jaan bujh kar meri baaton ko ignore karna, mujhey second preference dena! You think ye meri galat fehmi hai?",

asks Naina, knitting her brows, tilting her head to the left.

Rajveer doesn't answer back immediately, thinking she would end the discussion here.

On the other hand this wait for a reply from him, kills Naina from inside, bit by bit.

Coming up with an answer Rajveer replies,

"Oh! to apko iss baat ka bura lag raha hai ki main apko ignore kar raha hun? I am extremely sorry Cadet Singh, abse main apko puch liya karunga ki kya main apse baat karna band kar sakta hun please?",

saying that he gives her a stern look.

"You know what, I think I must leave. Ghutan ho rahi hai mujhey yahan. Aisa lag hi nahi raha ki main apne Rajveer Sir se baat kar rahi hun"

"Wo isliye kyunki apko adat ho gayi hai, mujhse apne liye sirf praises sunne ki. Aap ye accept hi nahi kar saktin Cadet Singh ki aap kabhi galat bhi ho sakti hain",

scolds Rajveer, raising his voice.

"Galat? Kya galti ki maine?",

she asks, raising her voice yet again.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina revolt tune continues)

"Kya mentorship programme se late aney mein meri koi galti thi? Ya log jo humare barey mein baatein kar rahe hain uske hints maine unhe diye hain? Ya shayad main rokne ki koshish nahi kar rahi? Bataiye kya galti hai meri?",

she asks, raising her voice.

Rajveer looks into her eyes, feeling sorry for her state. He didn't want to hurt her. This he is doing to save her from getting through any further embarrassment.

"Aur kya kaha apne? Ki aap mere dost nahi?",

she says, spitting venom through her each word.

"Agar aap mujhey apna dost nahi mante, to kya zarurat thi mujhse ye share karne ki, ki Dr. Mishra ne apse mentorship programme ke dauran kya kya kaha?"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins)

Rajveer looks at her. His eyes turn soft as she mentions about the moment. He understands what she means by 'kya kya'!

Unable to maintain the stare any longer out of anger and also because his this look makes her go weak on her knees, which right now she surely can't afford, given the scenario and circumstances between them, she lowers her eyes and says,

"Haan shayad ek galti kar di maine...",

It becomes difficult for her to control her tears but she manages somehow.

She looks back towards him, controlling herself. Rajveer stares back.

(Fast Rajveer-Naina tune begins as they stare)

Knowing that as ever, he would understand perfectly, her unsaid words, Naina chooses to trail off the sentence.

How can she possible say that the mistake she committed is, giving him the right to hurt her? Today he is the closest person she has in this world after her parents. And somehow he knows it very well, what he means to her. But still at this moment when she is so angry at him, she won't give
him the satisfaction by putting her feelings verbally! She knows he'll be frustrated on not getting the answer. But he should know how it feels to be frustrated because that's exactly what she is feeling right now!

With a new determination she says,

"Aap mujhse baat nahi karna chahte na? Theek hai mat kariye. Ab main dekhti hun ki aap kitne din apne iss wade ko, jo apne khud se kiya hai, nibha patey hain!"

Seeing her thoroughly hurt, Rajveer's heart melts. He didn't want to hurt her that much, but that was necessary. God! why is he confused? He wants to make her understand that this is so wrong what is brewing up between them! But at the same time, after hurting her, why does he become restless to console her? This has to end, but how, he knows not!

This is the first time he is hurting her. But why is he able to feel her pain that he inflicted into her?

Naina unable to control her emotions, and not wanting to breakdown in front of him, turns and leaves, running out of his room. Rajveer doesn't fail to notice the redness of her eyes. A drop of tear rushes down his cheek. Looking heavenwards, he apologizes,

"I am sorry Naveen!"

Then turning to look towards the door of his room, he apologizes again,

"I am sorry Naina!"

(Fast Rajveer-Naina revolt tune begins)

~THE END~
