What Books should be (with quotes!)
Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book. ~John Green
I honestly couldn't have worded it better than that, John.
I feel so like this about Throne of Glass.
I finished Queen of Shadows, and Sarah J Maas is such a spectacular writer. She made me laugh, she made me cry, she made me go 'Awww,' she made me frightened, she made me happy, it was really just everything that every book should be.
Because there are some books that exist that do not bring about the same indescribable reaction of familiarity and adoration as others do, and I find that incredibly saddening.
Books are supposed to do that, and when they don't, I feel that the author incorrectly did their job.
And sometimes, I think that why the mortal population does not read is because they read the wrong books that make them feel . . . nothing.
You know what I mean?
We need to find some way to create an extensive great-book recommendation-thing so that others can experience the thrill.
I don't know how, but we need worldwide book reccomending.
Speaking of which, anyone whose read Throne of Glass has to understand what I'm talking about.
If you haven't read it, I wholeheartedly reccomend it. It's original and amazing. The writing is beautiful and descriptive, and the story is so unique, original, and never boring. I honestly cannot think of a part when I wasn't fully engaged, because the book completely had me.
So many tears are in this series, so be prepared for one heck of a ride.
To persuade you all, (and to entertain those of you who have read the books), I've decided to put some memorable quotes!
