I'M RANTING!

So, you know that part in the MOVIE when Katniss gave her Mockingjay pin to Prim and said, as long as you have it, nothing bad will happen to you.

Then came ALL of the memes with that line in Elf-- you sit on a throne of lies! (Love that quote, btw).

BUT IT MAKE ME SO ANGRY!
Katniss wasn't given her pin until AFTER she volunteered, so she didn't even have a chance to give Prim her pin.
Also, she wouldn't have anyway since Madge made her promise to wear it!

Now, let's imagine for a second that Madge had given Katniss her pin before she volunteered, and Katniss for whatever reason decided to give her pin to Prim.

Katniss wouldn't have lied so explicitly to Prim! She knew that life in Panem was no picnic, and she would NEVER have stated such a lie! Prim almost died of starvation along with Katniss-- they both know their hardships! Katniss would never give Prim false leads that 'now that she's got the magical Mockingjay, she'll live in a utopia forever!'

SO I AM TIRED OF SEEING MEMES CALLING KATNISS A LIAR! THESE PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY NEVER READ THE BOOK, SO DO THE WORLD A FAVOR AND SHUTUP NON-FANS WHO DONT EVEN KNOW WHO MADGE UNDERSEE IS!!!
