You know what's funny?

Every time I read a Cassandra Clare book, I ASSUME that because the end is thus far going well, the very last pages of the book won't give me stress and trauma.

You'd think I would learn.

I mean, after ten books of false mirages of happiness being crushed on the last pages, I should've expected Lady Midnight to be the same.
It was destined to happen.

And yet here I am with my feels being trampled by hordes of wild animals and I just *falls over and dies*

So, I'll be asking a few questions to myself and you all with my own answers imvolved.

Let's do this.

For starters, have you read Lady Midnight?

Seeing as how I'll be talking about this extensively, yes, I just finished it.

Do you ship Mark with Cristina or Kieran?

Complicated. I shipped Mark and Cristina immediately, but when I found out about Kieran in Cristina's POV, it felt like my ship had sunk. But I loved the backstory behind Kieran and Mark, so for now I ship both.

Did you like the ending?

Considering how Clockwork Princess and City of Heavenly Fire ended, yes, it ended better.
BUT WOAH!
I WAS SO UPSET!
I didn't cry, but I kept yelling, "NO, EMMA, NO!" On the last pages.
And now Emma and Mark are gonna be a "thing?"
Nope.
Not having it.
I kinda stared off into space for a while and reevaluated my life choices.
Did you expect Malcolm to be the traitor?

Did ANYONE?

What did you think about Malcolm's decision?

Okay, first of all, he had good reason. The backstory was so sad. He was trying to revive his loved one. (I also loved how Cassie incorporated Edgar Allen Poe into the story. Genius. Especially since I've read and love Poe's work, 'cause creepiness).
No, it wasn't right to kill the current and innocent Blackthorns, but I cry for Malcolm. (Also, I have no idea why, but he kinda reminded me of Davy Jones. I SAID KINDA! Maybe the "sad-love-story-villainous" vibe, but yeah. I always pitied Davy Jones too).

Did you have any predictions that were false?

Near the end I thought Diana would be evil. She does have secrets that I wanna know about though.

Any unexpected occurrences you didn't expect?

Malcolm, Kit being a Herondale, etc.

Do you ship Jemma?

YES AND I SENSE AN OTP!
