omf it's been forever. idk if anyone even has this in their library anymore (i hope not), but hi. lmao.

so i'm pretty sure I'm ending this book officially. bc it needs to be killed. i remember this community being the greatest thing ever when i was like 11, and tbh it totally was. now it's been flooded by cole sprouse x reader fics. but anyway, i'm legitimately grateful to have been here. wattpad brought me a lot of happiness, excitement, and friends. my first book blew up, and although that's cringey for me to think about, I know I provided others with at least some semblance of entertainment. i'm sticking to what i said: it's cringey, my posts here have made me *cringe* and i avoid them like the plague, but girls, i feel like you need to hear this (everyone needs to, actually): it's okay to be cringey. that's a huge stepping stone to growing up. if you had fun, you had fun! appreciate it! (but maybe also apologize for all the stupid shit you said to people when you were thirteen.)

anyway, one thing i remember doing in this book community was conforming. i never liked the mortal instruments or the fault in our stars (in fact, i hated and still hate every single character except simon from tmi(and simon wasn't even that good)) (along with acotar, rhysand suuuucked) but i pretended i did because everyone else was into those books and i wanted to be a part of it, but not an unpopular part. after growing up some more i realized how right i was to have disliked those books (opinion, opinion, don't attack me). basically if you don't like something, you don't like it, but don't be an asshole about it. and don't constrain yourself to acting like you did like it.

anyway, books i actually like (as in they've aged well):

-The Book Thief

-Unwind

-The Way of Kings

-Chaos Walking

-Legend

-The Princess Bride

-Percy Jackson (but ONLY his first two series. none of that magnus chase apollo bs)

-kind of the infernal devices and six of crows? I say kind of bc these aren't my absolute favorites, but there were elements to these that i really, really liked

wow that's it. that's a little sad. i need to read some better books (after discovering brandon sanderson i've been following a train of what is called Adult Fantasy, so that'll be my next era, and hopefully it'll have better pay-off than YA. not that YA is all bad, i mean see above, but the thing is i've read countless other ya series and only have like 5-7 that stand out in my mind as being legitimately good)
