Zodiac Kids
This was one of my first stories typed up this year, and it is pretty bad. Don't hate too much on it, I based the characters off of what a website said about the different zodiac signs.
Pisces stared at the board. She nervously tapped her foot on the ground. A long, curly brown lock of hair fell into her face. She gulped.
Pisces wondered if she would get in trouble for staring at something for too long, but without her glasses, she could hardly see. Brook had taken them from her and refused to give them back, even though Pisces had told a teacher, she went unnoticed.
Pisces averted her eyes to look at someone who had just walked into the room. His hair was blonde and he had brown eyes. He was wearing a red sweatshirt with black jeans and red converse. He was talking with another boy, who had bright red hair, freckles all over his face, and wore a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
Pisces felt herself feel more nervous. She wondered why the boys had just happily walked into the detention room.
Pisces looked down at her clothes, suddenly self-conscious about what she was wearing. She wore a purple tank top with camouflage shorts, and black high tops. Her hair was long and Brown, and today, curlier than usual. She had emerald green eyes and freckles on the tops of her cheeks and the bridge of her nose.
The boys sat at the same table as her, still chatting away.
"You should have seen me throw that basketball when it hit that teacher!" The boy with red hair said.
The blonde boys smile had faded. "Yes, but you got us both in trouble."
"Come on, it was hilarious!"
The blonde boy sighed. He turned away from his friend, then his eyes met Pisces. He had obviously not notice her, and looked shocked. His friend soon saw her too.
"Who are you?" The guy with red hair asked.
"Pisces." She said quickly.
"I'm Aries, nice to meet you!" He said. "This is Taurus, he gets nervous around girls."
"I do not!" Taurus retorted, his face beet red.
Pisces turned her eyes back to the board and tried to read it. When she was able to, she quickly wrote it down, then felt her stomach turn upside down. It was a decision.
Pisces family called her the most indecisive person ever, and she hated choosing between two things, even something that was an obvious choice. It was hard to choose though, and now she had to get this right or she would have to stay here longer.
Pisces gulped, then read it to herself again.
When asked whether you are special, would you rather say you are not, or you are?
Pisces felt confused on why it was asking this. She didn't even remember why she was here.
Pisces looked up and Taurus and Aries looked just as confused. "What?" Aries exclaimed. "What does this have to do with anything?"
Taurus didn't reply. He was looking at the door. Three girls had walked in, each looking like they owned the place.
The first girl had almost white hair and she had super light blue eyes. She was wearing a white sweater and had white jeans and white boots. The second one had light brown hair, light brown eyes, and wore a blue t-shirt, short shorts, and blue converse. The last one had black hair, super dark eyes, and wore a black shirt, white jeans, and black Mary Janes.
They sat at the table, introducing themselves. "I'm Libra," the girl in white said. "My friend here with the brown hair is Gemini, and the last one is Virgo."
Pisces wondered why all of these names seemed familiar. She was imagining a lot of different things when the door opened yet again.
Six people shoved themselves into the room, stuck at the door. "HEY! Let me in losers!"
"No!" Came a females voice.
"Eat crap before calling us losers, dude!" Came another voice.
"Want the finger? You want the finger?!"
"This is very unintelligent." Came another girls voice.
"This....will...hurt...my psychology degree!" Came a voice, trying to push himself through.
"Let me through first! I am the dominate one!" Came a mans voice.
Aries raised an eyebrow. "Wish I had some popcorn, right Taurus?"
Taurus shook his head, sighing. Pisces got up and grabbed a hand. She started yanking on it until a boy with curly brown hair and impish features came tumbling through. Soon, the whole wall of kids fell onto him and Pisces, squishing them both.
The first one to get up was a boy with shaggy black hair, pale skin, and wearing all black. His eyes looked orange, red, and yellow, but that was impossible.
The next one up was a girl wearing dark clothes that screamed 'rebellious'. He hair was choppy and reached her shoulder blades. Purple dye was in it, making the rebel look even more believable.
The other one to get up had brown hair, much like Pisces. His was straight though. He had thick black glasses and wore what looked like psychologist clothes. Very drab, with colors close to gray. His eyes were green, like Pisces too.
Another one who got up was wearing a football jersey and sneakers. In the hook of his arm was a football. How he had held on to that was beyond Pisces. His hair was fair and so was his skin. He had bright brown eyes, and was bulky. She believed he was the football leader, but he was told to be bossy and always wanted to be the one in control.
The next one up wore green glasses that were smaller, but obviously real, because she was freaking out, worried that they were broken. She had red, corkscrew hair that's was tied up in a ponytail. She wore a white t-shirt that had a v-neck. She was also wearing blue skinny jeans and white flip flops.
The last one up was wearing a teal shirt with gray jeans. His hair was blonde and his eyes a teal color. When he noticed Pisces on the ground, he held out his hand, in which Pisces grabbed, her face turning redder by the minute.
He smiled at her. "Are you okay?"
Pisces nodded shyly, sure her face was bright red.
Pisces turned toward the impish boy. She held out her hand, in which he took, hesitating at first.
Soon, Pisces was sitting back in her chair, Taurus studying her, his mouth turned in a frown. Pisces raised an eyebrow at him but he didn't reply. Aries looked at his friend, then leaned toward him and whispered something. Whatever he said made Taurus' face flush red, in embarrassment, but then his face turned to anger, and he started muttering something.
The boy with strange eyes collapsed into the chair. He nodded. "Scorpio."
Pisces nodded, looking at the others.
"Capricorn" the boy with teal eyes said.
"Cancer." The rebellious girl said.
"Sagittarius." The boy with drab clothes said.
"Capricorn." The impish boy replied.
"Leo." The football player said.
"Aquarius." The girl who was fretting over her glasses said.
After everyone but Pisces introduced themselves, they all turned to her, expecting her to talk. "Pisces." She mumbled.
Capricorn smiled at her. "Beautiful name Ms. Pisces."
Pisces was about to thank him when someone walked in. It was obviously a teacher, but she had never seen him on campus. His hair was dark and didn't have a hair out of place. His hair line ended in a straight line just before it reached his neck, and it was framed to not touch his ears or anywhere close to his jaw line. He was wearing a black tuxedo with dress shoes. His skin was tan and his eyes were bright blue. The only thing that was off putting about him was his tie, which showed a weird circle with twelve smaller circles around the edge, each with a strange symbol inside of it.
"Hello students that got detention for whatever reason. My name is Mr. Zodiac. I-"
"Zodiac? Never heard that name before." Aries said, interrupting him.
Mr. Zodiac closed his mouth, glaring at Aries. "Aries, huh? Hey told me to be wary of you."
Aries grinned. "I don't mean to brag, but I'm kinda famous around here, huh?"
"Yes..."
Pisces disliked this guy. He was very cautious in speaking and didn't seem to want to say a thing, probably worried that he would say the wrong thing.
"Sir?" Aquarius said. "Is this detention? I want to know what I did."
Mr. Zodiac sighed. "Well, Aquarius, you did nothing wrong. None of you did, except Aries."
"Booyah!" Aries cried out.
"Anyway..." Mr. Zodiac said, glaring at Aries. "I need to discuss something with you."
"What is that sir?" Virgo said.
"Well..."
"Is it something AWESOME?" Aries cried out.
Mr. Zodiac's expression darkened. "No. In fact, you all must serve extra time here for the following week, perhaps more."
"What! I didn't even do anything!" Aquarius cried out, clearly annoyed.
