Faye began to panic rushing around the cell. She could fit through the bars, but a light fairy in the forbidden mountains couldn't survive. She'd be shot down the moment her glow was seen. She sighed after a while and landed weakly in the crook of Arthur's hat. She needed food, and fairy food at that. Fairies often ate honey, or tea and tiny cakes, their palettes unable to handle spice, and their teeth unable to chew meat. She saw none of those things in her room. She needed at least a small berry, but berries didn't grow in the Dark Forest, and to top it off she wouldn't be able to get one if they did. She lifted into the air, hovering just in front of Arthur's face. She pointed at her mouth, and rubbed her tummy.

"Food?" Arthur caught on quickly. He pointed to a half full bowl of slop. She grimaced. It appeared to be a mixture of meat and potatoes, neither of which were suitable for fairies. Then she saw a pile of dirt in the corner, and a smile came to her face. She walked over and brushed pink dust from her arms onto the dirt. Immediately a small raspberry bush shot up from the pile. She picked a particularly ripe berry and sat on Arthur's shoulder. His mouth hung wide open. It was common knowledge that yellow fairies were used for flight, but Faye knew most humans were unaware of the powers of other fairies, she herself was a garden fairy, with the ability to manipulate and control the flora. Thinking of other fairies caused her to remember the two others Arthur had captured. She flew up letting her berry fall to the floor. She pointed to Arthur's satchel under his cloak. He realized immediately what she was after.

"No I can't to that. They might be useful to be in the future." He stated lazily. Faye was horrified. She flew down and tried desperately to open the bag, but Arthur lazily flicked her off. "Careful, or I'll put you back in the bag." Arthur had let her stay out to see her power, but a garden fairy was practically useless to him. He had pondered letting out the others, but decided against it for fear of them getting loose in the prison block. Faye stamped her tiny foot in the air and darted over to Philip's cell.

"Don't wake him." Arthur said, in actuality hoping that she would. He had grown quite bored in the cell. As planned she did the exact opposite, and pinched the bridge of his nose. Philip was a heavy sleeper though and didn't wake up. She stamped her foot again and flew up grabbing two pieces of his hair and tying them around herself. She then pulled as hard as she could, and Philip shot up with a start.

"Hey!" He whined, then realized it was a fairy, "Lovely." He said staring at her. She curtsied at him and landed on his shoulder. "Morning." He said to Arthur. Then Faye whispered something in his ear and he nodded.

"You can understand her?" Arthur called across the corridor. Philip ignored him as Faye had instructed. Though Philip hadn't seen a fairy until his time with Arthur, his tudors had taught him basic fairy language. He had thought it useless, but it would come in handy to mess with Arthur.
