(((An explanation for the people who haven't read the description in this particular Cover contest: I went with more of the mystery element of a homicide detective, (that is the main character) as that would seem to me the way his mind probably works. The three missing peoples strings point to the question mark while the people that have cut themselves from the detectives life have their strings literally cut. )))
