This question might be a little harder to answer, but I think people should stop, think, and try to understand and relate to the characters. It really is the best way to connect with not just the characters, but with the book you are reading. 

Discussion:

Think of characters in the books you have read. Are there any characters whom you are similar to? If so, who?

My answer: I'm not similar to too many characters... But if I had to choose who I THINK is most like me or who I WISH I was, then Newt. All the way. He is a wonderful person and I want to think that I'm a pretty nice and level-headed kind of person. Okay, so I don't think I'm super level-headed. But I am kind and selfless and that counts for something, right?
