The Jerk Theory

The Jerk Theory - mxnsterz -

A B O U T :

The Jerk Theory is the idea that a girl is more likely to fall for a guy who plays and uses her than a nice guy.Sebastian Grey was once the kid everyone bullied, one day he transformed, drastically, why? That's between him and one girl. The next three years he burned through his school like wildfire; guys wanted to be him and girls wanted him. Then, his peripheral vision caught something. Someone. Her? One like her.Who is she? Maybe some theories are meant to be just that, a theory. . .

Hey, mxnsterz! I, Tulsi107, will be doing your book review today!

Now lets start off with the great stuff about your book!

I seriously enjoyed reading your book. I think that you did an amazing job at writing the story - in a writing wise way. You used correct punctuation, grammar, and an amazing choice of words. I didn't stop mid-way in your sentence and stop to make sense of it; everything that you wrote had a nice flow to it!

The sense of unique names is also very nice! For example, you used Rylee (interesting spelling, I must say.) and Rhiannon (I've never ever heard of that name!) The thing about unique character names is that when you add them to your story with a memorable characteristic, is that it stands out in front of the audience/reader. For instance, if you've heard of Cole Stone (From the Bad Boy's Girl), you'd often remember his name because of his unique first and last name. Not only that, the author has imprinted an image on you of a cheeky bad boy. So great job with that!

Now onto a few suggestions; sometimes in your sentences, you'd write like this:

"This is just an example,"

and then start a new paragraph. The bolded comma I've added is what I want to emphasize - since you're finished a sentence and starting a new line, remember to use a period instead of a comma. This way it's not a run on, making it look weird. Also, if you don't want to get rid of the comma, just add the paragraph in the next line right beside it then.

Another thing I'd like to add is that when I first started your book, I had trouble figuring out who the POV was based on. After a couple more dialogues though, I figured it out! So what I'd suggest is having the POV NAME before you start the chapter since you frequently switch between them in chapters. The POV of Sebastian was very well written ;) I didn't see it coming, ahaha.
