Summary : A girl's intention to take revenge on another girl at every turn, for reasons yet unknown. Lana tries to humiliate Marisol in every way possible even though her best mate Trevor stands up to Marisol. Trevor's affinity to Marisol hurts Lana, still she maintains her stubborn self as if she doesn't care.

Review : This book is an excellent work. The language is awesome. Narration is simple, neat, yet immensely pleasing and ingenious. Unlike many other books in Wattpad which just skim through characters, this one roots on them and through their actions, portray us a vivid image of them. It's commendable that the protagonist is not a moral model of mankind but just a girl as flawed as any normal human. Standing atop all that, though, is the narration. I read the book because of the awesome story telling of the author. His/her judicious choice of similes, starting a chapter with a general preface about the chapter's abstract title and then moving on to draw similarities to the scenario at hand, explaining Lana's interior conflict while her face remained impassive, were all excellent. I loved these all.

There are some downsides too. One thing was that even after almost 3000 words of writing, the author has not shown us what the reason for Lana's hatred towards Marisol was. It could have been intentionally held back for suspense, but the obscurity in Lana's motive underplays her actions against Marisol. I guess when the reasons for Lana's intentions are shown in future, they must be cautiously written to give credibility to her actions. If the cause were too simple or clichéd, it would end up making everything Lana did hitherto a nasty overkill. Occasional grammatical errors come up but they could very well have been typos. Apart from these, The Cycle of Flaws is brilliant.
