SYREN's P.O.V.

"Okay, since that both of you are here, we could discuss about the wedding," mom said excitedly.

"WHAT?" I exclaimed. "It's not that I don't want to marry Allec because we sure will get there but MOM, it's too early for that!" I said exasperatedly. I can't let them decide for me this time, it is my love life after all!

"You have no say in this, son," dad said. "Me and your mom are getting old and we need you to settle down," he added with a longing voice. I know what they meant 'cause at my age of twenty two and them being in their late fifties they couldn't help but get worried.

"We still want to play with our little grandbabies you know," my mom said dramatically.

"Mom, we are too young to-"

"But we are getting old!" she intervene pointedly. "We don't mean to pressure you both, but we can see you ending up married so why take it longer?"

I sighed, this is why I don't want to introduce them to Allec this early. I look up at him, he's been quiet for a long time and I'm getting worried that what my parents said would overwhelm him and scare him off.

"Allec..." I called to him anxiously. He had a strange look on his face when he looked down on me. "P-Please don't bother with my parents. They just don't know what they're doing, of course you don't have to marry me and I know that you are not ready-" I explained nervously fearing that my parents' words would chase him away.

He looked at me intensely, "are you ready though?" he asked suddenly.

"Ready? For what?"I asked. Confused all of a sudden.

"To marry me," he said as a matter of fact.

"Of course I always 'am, I mean-" I gasped. "Wait- What?!" my eyes widened. "Y-You mean..." that got me excited.

He smirked at me then gripped my hand reassuringly. I smiled broadly then looked at my parents.

"It's settled then,"my father said happily. "Allec," he called out to Allec's attention. "I guess we should arrange a meeting with your parents so we could start planning your wedding," he announced making me glare at him.

"Dad! You couldn't decide that right now! I haven't even met his parents! Don't pressure him."

And what pisses me off is that my dad just shrugged me off and ignored me. "What can you say, Allec?"

Allec just hold my hand tightly, "maybe i will introduce Syren to my parents firsthand, sir."

I sighed in relief, and then smiled at him appreciatively.

I am now standing nervously in front of Allec's parents house, well mansion. I couldn't say as it is not just a small house. I'm finally gonna meet his parents for the first time and Allec refused to tell me more about his parents. What if they don't accept us? Good thing Allec is beside me now. I grabbed his hand as I took a deep breath and released it.

"Ready?" he asked and I couldn't read his emotion over his blank expression.

I looked at him first before putting a grin on my face and nodding, "as I can ever be."

The door opened all of a sudden and I was surprised that Ruiz opened the door, but I'm also relieved that it was him. His smiling face calmed me down and made me feel relax and at ease.

"Welcome, Syren!" He said enthusiastically as he opened the door widely to let us in. "I wonder why am I not surprised to know you're together now?" he said in wonder but with a knowing look on his face.

I smiled knowingly at what he said. In my mind, it is really what I want to happen because I already like his brother back then.

"Where are they?" Allec interrupted. I rolled my eyes as Allec divert the topic..

"They're in the kitchen, Papa's preparing a lunch for us," replied Ruiz as he lead us to the kitchen. Leaving me in my wandering thoughts.

A delicious smell welcomed us as we walk to the kitchen. Hmmm.. I envy his Dad or Papa and also brother to have the talent in the kitchen. No wonder Allec has that skill too. I sighed not knowing that Allec had stopped walking that's why I ended up bumping on his back. "Oops.."

"Watch where you're going brat," he said irritated.

"Sorry," I said grinning as I look in front of me only to see that we're now in front of his parents. I smiled sheepishly to them but deep inside I feel a little embarrassed and of course nervous. I can feel their gaze towards me.

"N-Nice to me you," I said bowing my head a little. Wait! Hold on! I look up again and looked around to see that only two men are standing in front of me. One could be Allec's dad but I'm not sure. Allec might've noticed my confusion.

"This is my dad, Allyster," he said motioning to his left. "And this is my papa, Rui" he said motioning to his right. That made me more confused. So he is adopted? Or one of this guy's his real father?

"They are both my biological parents," he said answering the questions in my mind making my eyes widened.

"T-They're your.. biological f-fathers? How is that even possible?" I asked, shocked visible on my face. My mind is so confused. How can that be possible? Maybe Allec and his family have a weird sense of humor?

"Ah ha ha ha.." I laughed nervously, "that got me! It's a funny joke.." I said as I looked around them. All of a sudden feeling awkward as I saw their faces and Rui's nervous smile. I looked back to Allec, trying to confirm.

"It's actually not a joke, brat." He commented casually. I felt myself going black and fainting! Okay! That was an exaggeration but that's what my mind wants to do. "Close your mouth, brat you look like a fish!" I blink as I heard Allec's comment. I tried to composed myself, trying not to embarrass myself although it's quite too late.

I look at Allec's parents, yeah they are still his parents after all. They seem like a nice person. So I smiled at them, "I apologize for over reacting sir," I said to them as I bowed my head in respect.

"Let's cut the crap, and eat!" Allec's dad said then turn around making me flinch. He is quite scary. I looked up to Allec, but he doesn't show anything on his face making me more nervous but his papa interrupted my thoughts as he went to grab my hand leading me to the table.

"Syren right?" He asked nicely. That reminds me, I haven't introduced myself properly. Ugh! I just nodded my head. This is so not my character! I'm a confident proud person!

"Don't worry about my husband," he said. "That is his normal self." He explained, making me feel a little atease. I still need to impress his parents. I smiled to Mr. Rui appreciating him trying to make me feel better.

"I hope you'll like the simple food I prepared for us", he said guiding me to the chair beside Allec.

"Pa, leave him be," Allec interrupted. I smiled politely to his papa.

"I appreciate your effort Mr. Rui, thank you very much!" I thank him as I made myself comfortable.

"Oh, just Call me Rui, or just Papa too," he said meaningfully to me making look at him in surprised and speechless.

"Alright, just get to the point Allec." Mr. Allyster said with a straight face looking directly to Allec that made me nervous.

I felt Allec's hand on mine as if telling me that he will handle it. I calmed down a little as I looked on the food being served by his papa.

Allec cleared his throat as his Papa finally sat down. I took a glass of water to make me feel a little at ease. "Well, we're here to ask for both of your blessing, we're getting married."

I almost choke on my drink as Allec told his parents about our plan straightforwardly. Literally starring on his Dad's eyes like they're having an invisible battle. I look at his Papa, but he seems nervous aswell although he is smiling. Then turned to Ruiz but he seems busy on his phone messaging.

"How long have you known each other?" Mr. Allyster asked turning his attention to me making me more nervous.

"W-We just-"

"Long enough to know our feelings and get married, dad!" Allec interrupted making his Dad furrowed his browse. I feel like mentally slapping Allec's head for being so straightforward with his words!

What if his father disapproves our relationship and forbid us to see each other? We're not kids anymore but what if they disown him or.. or.. ugh Im panicking inside my brain.

"I wasn't asking you, Allec!" Mr. Allyster responded irritatedly. I knew it wont result good! Our wedding will never happen! Oh no! You stupid Allec!

"Dad, can you stop intimidating my fiancé?" Ugh! Allec again!

"Alright," Mr. Allyster sighed. Making me look at him in confusion.
