Marissa's POV

My memories that time were terrifying.

Flashback

I was running in the forest. You must be wondering, how did I end up in the forest? Simple answer. Food. I would go to the forest and find for food every week. I didn't notice the time that I stayed until night. You also might be wondering, why am I running? Simple. Wolves.

"Help!" I shouted hoping someone would hear me. The wolves were getting nearer to me. I was very short so I couldn't run very fast and I wasn't really a runner.

"HELP!!" I said. Why am I even shouting. It's already dinner time everyone should be in their house or in a restaurant. I might attract more wolves by shouting also. I kept running until I reached a lake. I saw a stick nearby the lake. I got it and threw it away.

"Get the stick!" I said to the wolves. The wolves ignored whatever i said and just focused on eating me.

"Worth a try" I said to myself. If your near death everything is worth a try. I splashed water to the wolves which made them angrier.

"Just go away!" I said angrily. One of the wolves was jumped to eat me.

"NO!" I shouted. I stretched my hand out opening my hand and a bright light came out. When the bright light disappeared, the wolf that jumped to eat me was injured. The wolves got scared and ran away, they left the wolf that I injured.

"Are you ok?" I asked the wolf.

"What was that?" A voice of a girl said.

"Wha-What?" I looked around and saw no one.

"It's me the wolf" She said.

"Y-You can speak!" I shouted.

"I always could speak, but no human ever understood us." She said.

"How come you never spoke when you were chasing me?" I asked.

"We don't speak when we hunt." She said.

"So you really wanted to eat me" I said. She nodded.

"What was that Bright light?" She asked.

"I don't know myself" I said.

"Oh" she said.

"Maybe I could find something that could help you. You're still bleeding. I might take long." I said. I went to the city and I had some money with me. I went to Mercury drug.

"Um... Excuse me" I said softly. No one heard me.

"Excuse me?" I said louder. No one heard me.

"Excuse me!" I almost shouted.

"Hi! Welcome to Mercury drug!" She said happily.

"Um... Do you have a first aid kit?" I asked.

"Yes. It will be Php 100" She said. I brought out a 100 and she gave me the first aid kit.

"Thanks!" I said happily. I walked out of Mercury Drug and ran back to the forest.

I helped her with the wound.

"There! All better!" I said.

"Thanks! I can bring you home for my thanks." She said.

"No need! I don't have a home." I said.

"I think I know a place where you can stay." She told me. She allowed me to ride her back.

"What's your name?" I asked her.

"I don't have any. Wolves are called by number. I'm number 23." She said.

"Oh, I'm going to call you Marilyn!" I said. I was 14 I couldn't think of any other name.

"Sounds wonderful." She said. She dropped me off in front of a house. It was 5 am in the morning. I slept in the forest yesterday after healing her.

"Thanks!" I went in the house.

"H-Hello? A-Anyone here?" I asked. Someone came down the stairs. She was tall and she wore a dark pink shirt with white sleeves and a dark pink skirt with boots. She wore cat ears and a pony tail.

"Hey!" She waved her hand at me.

"H-Hi" I said shyly.

"Shy person?" She asked. I nodded.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"C-Charlize" I said.

"Hey Charlize I'm Meekī spelled as M-I-C-H-A-I" She said.

"Hey! You're wearing the same style of clothes too!" She said. Every girl I've seen wear printed or colorful shirts and skirts. My family usually wears a simple colored shirt and puffy skirt.

"H-Hi Michai, is it okay if I stay here for today?" I said.

"You could stay here everyday!" She said happily.

"R-Really?" I said happily.

"I found this place abandoned" She said. I mouthed a simple 'oh' and just walked to the kitchen.

"I have pizza! Let's heat it up!" She said. A few days later I met Brinna, she was very forgetful but she was fun to hang out with. After I met Brinna, I met Elisha she's just the weird girl everybody needs to cheer up your day. Elisha even brought a white poodle named RTG. I think it meant Ready To Go. I'm not sure.

We were happy until one day.

Brinna's POV

Memories. I'm forgetful but life wants you to remember all the painful memories.

Flashback

I was walking around aimlessly. I had no idea where I was. I became hungry and I decided to eat lunch. I went to McDonald's and ordered burgers.

I sat down and started to eat but robbers just had to ruin my meal.

"Get down! Get down! This is a robbery!" One of them said. Some went to the cashier and started to grab money. I grabbed a knife near the counter. I had knife throwing classes before. I also know how to fight with a knife. I also learned martial arts and I learned how to deflect bullets with knives.

"STOP!!" I said angrily.

"Hey kid. If you think you could beat us with a knife try it. We can just shoot." One of them said.

"I'm not a kid! I'm 13!" I said angrily.

"Still a kid." He said.

"I don't think you can even shoot a kid." I smirked.

"I can if I want to." He said.

"Show me" I said. He pulled the trigger, but I easily deflected it with a knife.

"H-How" He said.

"Are you kidding me?! This is the best you got?" I said. I stepped forward so I could fight. He immediately got a hostage.

"Step back before I shoot her!" He said pointing the gun at the girl. The girl was around 11 years old. I stopped and stepped back.

"That's what I thought!" He smiled. He was still going to shoot her even if I stepped back.

"No don't!" I swiped my hands to the side and at the same time the gun flew out of his hand.

"H—" he got interrupted by me.

"HOW DID I DO THAT!!" I looked at my hands then looked at the gun then my hands again.

He grabbed a knife and was about to stab her.

"No!" I closed my eyes and I imagined the knife in my hand then I opened my eyes. The knife appeared in my hand.

"What the!" I said to myself dropping the knife.

"I surrender!" The robber said. The other robbers also surrendered. The police came and took them. I picked up the knife I got from the robber. It was a combat knife and it changed shape somehow. I don't know how it changed shape. It just suddenly became a dagger and it also became a different kind of metal. Instead of steel it became gold.

I noticed a wolf passing by. I grabbed my food immediately and went out of Mcdo. I saw the wolf turn at the end of a corner. I chased after the wolf while eating my burger. The wolf stopped in a place that looked abandoned.

"Marilyn! Here's some food for your family!" I heard a girl said. She was holding a plastic bag full of raw meat. The wolf just looked at her and grabbed the plastic bag.

"Your welcome!" The girl just said suddenly. The wolf just ran back while holding the plastic bag by its mouth.

"That wolf didn't even give a sign of thanks. Why did you say 'your welcome' to him?" I asked.

"First of all the Mari—I mean the wolf said thanks, second of all it's a girl" She said.

"The wolf can't talk" I said.

"Yes she can, you just can't understand it." She was going back in the house.

"You wanna go in?" She asked.

"Um...Yea sure" I said.

"Michai!" She said.

"It's Meekī not Michai!" Someone from upstairs said.

"It's spelled like that" She said. The girl—Michai—went downstairs.

"Hi! I'm Meekī spelled as M-I-C-H-A-I" Michai said happily.

"And I'm Charlize!" The girl who talked to the wolf said.

"I'm Brinna." I said. A few days later I met Elisha she was very funny and very weird because she's totally fine with a F in her grades.

And we had a very happy life! Lol no. Everything went shocking after that and it also changed who I really am.
