The Betrayal
Rouge awoke feeling awkward. She was laying on Apollo, who was awake. Rogue jumped to her hooves, embarrassed.
"I'm sorry." Rogue apologized as Apollo also got to his hooves. "Don't be." Apollo made Rogue blush.
"Hungry?" Apollo asked, Rogue nodded her head in return. Apollo lead Rogue to a huge pasture filled with fresh green grass.
"Wow!" Rouge nickered astonishedly.
They started to graze, this was Apollo's plan, to distract Rouge with grass.
When Rouge had her back turned, Apollo reared and neighed loudly. Rogue jumped in shock, as his hooves cut through her back. She pierced her back hooves out, which kicked Apollo in the stomach. He flew back, winded.
"What was that?!" Rogue screamed angerly.
Apollo started to cry, and winced as he turned over on his side. "You're a killer!" He yelled back, and his amber eyes were filled with fire.
Rogue shook her head in disbelief, and she started to slowly back up. "You don't know me!" She wickered. "I know everything." Apollo muttered.
"The ancestors came to me last night, they told me everything!" Apollo coughed, standing up they stood face to face.
"Fine, kill me, but I am stronger than you think. I'm going to find my grandfather Prince, either join me or leave." A tear fell down Rogue's tattered face, she didn't want to kill Apollo.
Apollo looked down, "I'm coming with you." Apollo and Rogue smiled.
They started back on their journey. "Do you even know where Prince is?" Apollo asked, trotting to catch up to Rogue.
"I don't know, I've heard stories, he is south of the herds." Rogue explained, increasing to a canter.
"Oh, ok. So what is that you like about Prince?" Apollo stumbled and almost fell. Rogue rolled her eyes, "I was lied too, and I'm going to find him." Rogue muttered.
"That wasn't the question." Apollo pointed out.
"Just shut up, will you?" Rogue snapped, cantering away.
"Fine." Apollo said as he caught up to her.
The night sky was chilly and they stopped under a blossom tree. A quiet rain fell, as they shook off their matted coats. "We can stop here for the night." Rogue explained, scratching her leg.
"Ok." Apollo nodded his head.
"Are you ever going to return to your family?" Apollo asked, steppin closer to Rogue for warmth.
"I don't have a family." Rogue murmured.
"Yeah you do. Tell me more about yourself." Apollo said curiously.
"Fine. I do have a family, they're just a true family. My mother's name is Taka and she married my father Prince and had me when he turned evil. After she exiled him, she married Picasso who is the leader of StreamHerd, and he's my step father, and I really don't like him..." Rogue trailed on.
"Oh, I see." Apollo agreed. "You don't know it, but you're lucky to have a family." Apollo nickered.
"I know, just, you don't keep a secret from your own daughter!" Rogue yelled in anger.
"Ok, whatever. Let's forget it." Apollo shook his mane.
"Anyway, ever had the love of your life?" Apollo asked, trying not to seem desperate.
"No, I don't like that stuff." Rogue chuckled.
"But Taka and I have talked about it before." Rouge said slowly, as she stepped in front of Apollo.
"Oh, yeah. What did she say about it?" Apollo asked slowly as he stepped closer to Rogue. Their faces advanced closer.
"She said it was sort of like this...."Rogue paused, she could feel Apollo's warm breath on her muzzle.
They were about to kiss (or nuzzle) each other, but a loud crash of thunder shocked them. Rogue turned her head away from the handsome bay.
What was I thinking? If he turns against me it would be harder to kill him. Rouge thought to herself.
She soon found sleep, but she slept uncomfortably.
Rogue awakened in a dark foggy flatland. She recognized it to be StarHerd.
"Hello?" She called and behind her a light grey mare with a darker grey mane, surprised her.
"Rogue, you're a disgrace." The mare turned her head around, shunning Rogue.
"Wha-?" Rogue bumped into another mare.
"You're the misfit." She also shunned Rogue.
"Am not!" Rogue turned around and 6 horses were surrounding her, including the ones that just shunned her.
"StarHerd is abandoning you, you foal!" A light bay stallion yelled.
"You'll become more in danger, and die!" A spotted chestnut mare nickered.
"Quiet down." A soft voice ordered, and the horses bowed. Rogue was puzzled, then the circle of horses surrounding her opened and a beautiful sparkling white mare walked slowly through.
"Who are you?" Rogue asked sternly.
"Star, Princess Star as a matter of fact." Her voice was stern, she wasn't going to play around.
"You have shown a great distribution for StarHerd. And I shall say, we are not going to to protect you - you are with the devil now." Star nickered unhappily.
"That's ok, I don't need you to protect me. I have Prince's battle strategies, his strength, his courage, and his power. Don't underestimate me." Rogue snapped confidently. Her breathing steadied.
"Who do you think you're talking too?" Star yelled angerly.
Rogue rolled her eyes. "I'm the leader of StarHerd!" She yelled. "I deserve more respect." Star ordered.
"You're getting all the respect you deserve." Rogue snapped. Star gasped and StarHerd shunned Rogue.
"Show me the devil's lair." Rogue ordered.
"Fine, but you'll regret it." Star spoke calmly as she opened up the force field to the ShadowForest. Rogue walked slowly over and stepped inside......

Picture 1: Star
Picture 2: I made a pic collage for the Shadow Forest.
Author's Note :
Sorry if there are any mistakes I didn't have time to look over this. What do you think of Star, she is actually Gloria's mother, so she is great grandmother to Rogue. Rogue will soon find out, and there will be a surprise in the next chapter!
