I woke to a sunny day, a noise outside told me the meeting was starting.
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather around to hear my words!" Lionstar yowled, I quickly cleaned my fur and padded out with the others.
"I am so excited," I said, I sat down and listened.
"We have four new apprentices with us today, Finchkit until you have earned your warrior name you will be known as Finchpaw your mentor shall be Doveflight, Mousekit until you have earned your warrior name you shall be known as Mousepaw your mentor shall be Cougarpelt, Jaykit until you have earned your warrior name you shall be known as Jaypaw and because you have asked you shall be Snowpelts apprentice I hope she teaches you the ways of the medicine cat, Hollykit until you have earned your warrior name you shall be known as Hollypaw your mentor shall be myself," Lionstar called, the clan cheered.
"Finchpaw, Mousepaw, Jaypaw, Hollypaw!" They called.
"Tonight you sit vigil until I say," Lionstar said, I saw HollyWhisp in the corner of my eye and hissed at her. She just flattened her ears and I almost snapped when Finchpaw nudged me, I looked at him and went quiet our vigil started and I knew I had to be silent.

At sunrise.

My joints ached from crouching for so long, Lionstar came out to us.
"You four get some sleep and later I will be training you Hollypaw," Lionstar said, I padded into the apprentices den. I lay down in my nest next to Finchpaw, he and I were best friends. My brother went to the med cats den to sleep while Mousepaw slept on the other side of her brother, I drifted into a deep sleep.
