Chapter 8: Pewter City
Alex and Mitsuki had finally arrived in Pewter City, which wasn't as lively as Viridian City. Pewter City was gray as stone.
"This city is different from the last one we were in," Alex said as he looked at the sightings around him.
"Yes, it's quite grey and not as bright as Viridian city was with the paint job on the buildings," Mitsuki stated."It looks like the Pokemon Center is just a little bit further."
"Great, because I'm hungry and want to take a nice soak for my feet after going through that forest!" Alex cheered.
"First, give are Pokemon to Nurse Joy to heal and a room to sleep in, and then we grab dinner and wash up for bed," Mitsuki said.
"Yeah, I know that are Pokemon come first," Alex said, slightly offended.
"Don't be offended. I wasn't insulting you, Xander."

The two boys arrived at the Pokemon Center and gave Nurse Joy their Pokemon so she should heal them as well as getting a room book for their stay since they stay here until they finish their Gym challenge.
"Aren't it time for some dinner now that Nurse Joy has are Pokemon to heal on up," Alex said, heading towards the cafeteria.
"We should probably give our family a call before are gym battle," Mitsuki said as he and Alex found a seat after grabbing themselves something to eat.
"Yeah, good idea. We can call in the morning," Alex said, picking up a spoon to eat his soup. "Speaking of that, who is going first?" He asked, looking up at Mitsuki.
"You can go first. I'm going to do some training before challenging the gym leader tomorrow," Mitsuki said."You have an idea about what pokemon. You are going to use for the gym battle?" He asked.
"Well, the guidebook says it is a rock-type gym," Alex started looking up from his soup. "Which make Totodile and Sandshrew my best choices for the gym battle, but of course, that doesn't mean I will win. So, maybe I will do a bit more training after breakfast and challenge the gym leader before lunch."
"Sounds like a good idea. I will probably save my match for the day after tomorrow since I only have one good Pokemon for rock types," Mitsuki stated.
"Figure someone will have to go after tomorrow anyway since the gym leader Pokemon can probably only handle so many battles a day," Alex said.
"Right."
"Alexander and Mitsuki, your Pokemon are ready!" Nurse Joy announced on the intercom.
"Alright, grab or Pokemon and then get ready for the night," Alex said, standing up as he finished the last of his soup.
"You can wash up first. I'm going to use my pokedex to see if there are any good moves I can try to teach my Pokemon tomorrow during training," Mitsuki said, standing up as well.
"Yeah, go ahead and do that. I'll check that out during breakfast, but I probably work mainly on making their current attacks strong."
Mitsuki nodded as he and Alex picked up their Pokemon from the front counter before heading for their room to get ready for bed.

Alex and Mitsuki arrived at their shared room located in room 103 on the first floor upstairs in the Pokemon Center.
As they opened the door with the key and walked inside the room to see a white wall with a few Pokemon posters on it. There were two twin-size beds with red blankets on them. As well as a nightstand next to both beds.
"Alright, I'm going to take a shower. You have fun looking over your pokedex for some attacks ti teach your Pokemon," Alex said, heading towards the bathroom after placing his bag on the bed on the left closest to the bathroom.
"Okay, just make sure to save some warm water for me," Mitsuki said, sitting down on the bed on the right.
"I will, Mitsuki!" Alex called back before closing the bathroom door.
While Alex was showering, Mitsuki began looking at what attacks Chickorita, Ekans, and Pikachu could learn that might be helpful for the gym. Mainly for Ekans and Pikachu with a disadvantage against rock types.
"The Pokemon are probably also part ground," Mitsuki said as he scrolled through the moves on the pokedex.
The bathroom door then opened as Alex came out wearing an ice blue long sleeve shirt with the three Johto starters on it, along with dark blue pants.
"Hey, didn't my father get you those pajamas for your birthday?" Mitsuki asked, looking up from his pokedex.
"Yeah, these are the ones from him. I decided to wear them tonight instead of one of the pajamas my parents got me," Alex replied.
"Cool."
"Any luck finding some moves to teach your Pokemon tomorrow?" Alex asked, sitting on his bed.
"Yeah, I found something," Mitsuki replied, placing his pokedex on the nightstand. "Well, I'm going to shower and then probably go to bed soon," He said, getting up from bed.
"Alright, I might do a bit of looking myself at moves for my morning training and continue working on it after my gym battle, so I have new moves for next gym, I guess," Alex said, reaching into his bag and pulling out his pokedex.
'Hiroka, I can have him learn Iron Tail and Dynamic Punch. Sandra learning Submission isn't a bad idea. Now for Pidgey Rest could be helpful, and so could Double Team.' Alex thought as he looked at the list of moves on his pokedex.
"Well, I think that enough of that," He said, putting his pokedex away as Mitsuki came out of the bathroom with white and blue pajamas on.
"Take it you found something?"
"Yeah, guess we should get some sleep now if we plan to train, and I plan to have a gym battle tomorrow."
"Yeah, and we both need to remember to call our parents in the morning," Mitsuki stated.
"Of course," Alex said.
Alex and Mitsuki then both went for the night. So they would be well-rested for what was in store for them tomorrow during Alex's first gym battle.
