The first was an insect Pokemon that resembled a bipedal, yellow wasp; however, it only has four legs instead of six and lacks pigment pits. Its head is round with a slightly pointed mouth, large, red eyes, and black antennae with a sharp bend in the middle. Its forelegs are tipped with long, conical stingers. It stands on its other two legs, which are long, segmented, and insectoid in shape. It also has two pairs of rounded, veined wings and another stinger on its yellow-and-black striped abdomen.

The second one was a bipedal amphibian Pokemon with a round body and a thick, powerful tail. It has soft, pink skin with curved yellow lines on its belly and a yellow ring marking on each knee. It has a thumb-like claw on each hand and a single large nail on each foot. There is a yellow spot on its palms and the soles of its feet. It has beady eyes and a long, prehensile tongue. The tongue is likely connected to its tail, which twitches when the tongue is pulled.

"Sora, I need your assistance!" Alex shouted as he sent out his shiny Pidgey.

"So you're going to get in the way, little boy?" Zane questioned."Fine, we will just deal with you first, then."

"What are you doing to that man, and who exactly are you two?" Alex asked with a glare.

"We're part of the great organization Team Rocket and were the leader of this operation, and this man has Pokemon fossils, and our job is to retrieve them, but he refuses to hand them over," The female name Camellia growled.

"So you decided to attack this man just for Pokemon fossils? If you want fossils so bad, then just look around for your own and leave innocent people out of your search!" Alex commanded.

"Oh, shut on up, kid; if you're not going to scam, we teach you a lesson for messing with Team Rocket!" Camelia shouted."Lickitung Stomp!"

"Beedrill Twineedle!" Zane commanded.

"Sora dodged now!" Alex said as Sora barely flew out of the way of the incoming attacks.

"Vulpix, lead a helping hand!" Brock said, sending out his Vulpix.

"Sora Gust on Beedrill!"

"Vulpix Dig on Lickitung!"

Sora flapped his wings as a powerful gust sent Beedrill flying while Vulpix went straight under the ground using Dig. Just as they did, Emily finally caught up with the two boys.

Vulpix then came from under the ground and slammed into Lickitung, sending them flying into the air, but it didn't seem to take much damage from the attack.

"Alex and Brock, what's going on?" Emily asked.

"These guys attacked this man for some Pokemon fossils," Brock explained.

"These guys...they want to revive this Pokemon fossil and use them for their boss's evil purposes. I won't hand over the fossils to them!" The man yelled, clutching the fossils to his chest.

"Just shut up, you pathetic researcher. You are begging us to stop and take them when we're done with the kids because Beedrill is going to give you so much pain you do anything to get away," Zane snapped.

"He right, so shut your mouth now!" Camellia agreed, kicking the man on the ground.

"Sora, fly forward!" Alex ordered as Sora started to fly ahead.

"Beedrill, get ready," Zane said.

Emily snuck over and helped the researcher on up without being noticed.

"Sora, do it now, full power Wing Attack!"

"Lickitung, stop. It grabbed its wings!"

"No!" Alex shouted as Sora Lickitung was caught by tongue and slammed into the ground.

"Alex, heads up!" Emily yelled, seeing Beedrill coming for Sora.

"Vulpix Fire Spin!" Brock commanded quickly, protecting Sora.

Vulpix let out a giant spinning flame hitting Beedrill and Licking, doing a good amount of damage.

"Lickitung up and finish that Pidgey with Mega Punch!" Camellia shouted as she saw Sora trying to get on back up.

Lickitung ran towards Sora when suddenly Emily Psyduck, a beam of Bubbles slammed into her, knocking her back.

"Wow," Alex said as Psyduck landed in front of Sora. "Emily Psyduck, meaning that was a Bubble Beam."

"Yep, it was, and that was a close call," Emily said, smiling at Alex slightly.

"Thank you for the save Emily and Psyduck," Alex said as Psyduck nodded and let out a cry.

Sora got on up and glanced on over at Beedrill and Lickitung. "Sora, use Gust!" Alex yelled as Sora flapped his wings quickly, sending both Beedrill and Lickitung sliding against the ground.

"Beedrill and Lickitung, finish this now!" Camelia commanded as the two Pokemon got up and charged forward.

Zane walked over to the man Emily helped up as Camelia focused on the pokemon they were battling.

"Vulpix now!" Brock said as Vulpix stood in front of Zane, making Zane narrow his eyes.

"Unlike Alex, I'm not a beginner, and he seems to be doing well on his own with Emily's help," Brock said as Zane glanced at Camelia and saw Sora and Psyduck were pressuring Beedrill and Lickitung.

"It seems so," Zane muttered.

"Fine, it seems that it is your lucky day, researcher, but we will get the Pokemon fossil we need. I promise you that. Zane, let's go now!" Camelia commanded, returning Lickitung.

"Right," Zane returned his Beedrill and immediately rushed off with Camelia.

Alex sighed as he watched them leave and looked at his worn-out Pidgey and Emily Psyduck.

"Thank you, Psyduck; you saved the day. Sora, you were excellent, too," Alex said with a smile as he returned his exhausted Pokemon.

"Hey, are you alright, sir?" Alex asked.

"Yeah, thanks to you kids," He answered with a sigh of relief.

"But, sir, why do they want the Pokemon fossils? You mention for their boss evil plans, but how to do they plan to use them?" Emily asked.

"I don't know actually what their ultimate plan is initially. In the past, they simply stole people's Pokemon, but this time it seems they're planning something bigger," The man stated."Since you three kids were brave enough to help me how as out, I each let you have a fossil. I still have a few extra for my researcher, so you three can each take one," He said, holding out a bag and pulling out three fossils.

"The fossils are a Helix fossil, Dome fossil, and Old Amber fossil," He told them.

"I don't know. Fossil Pokemon seem they will be hard to train, and I don't know if that's for me," Emily said.

"I think it is excellent, and it is unique in a Pokemon contest when you get it revived," Alex said.

"Alex is right. It would be a wonderful idea if you gave it a trying, training a fossil Pokemon," Brock said.

"Alright, I go with the Helix fossil," She said, grabbing a fossil with the shell on it.

"I take the Dome fossil because I think the Old Amber Pokemon would be a better choice for a future breeder," Alex said.

"Sounds good to me, Alex. I think training an Aerodactyl will be a good experience," Brock agreed.

"Excellent. I work at the Science museum in Pewter City, so when you get a chance, you can bring them to me to be revived, or you can restore them in Cinnabar Island. Still, you might be able to find other scientists you can revive for you," The researcher said, waving bye as he walked off.

"We should be going to. We're almost out of Mt. Moon, I believe," Alex said.

"Right," Brock agreed.

The trio then continued their journey out of Mt. Moon after there their first encounter with Team Rocket and got themselves a fossil waiting to be revived.
