Alex, Brock, and Emily we're continuing their journey through Mt. Moon when a bug catcher suddenly stopped them and challenges Alex to a battle. It was a pretty brief battle since he only had two Pokemon.

After the battle, the trio continued making its way through Mt. Moon, trying to find its way out of this large and twisted cave.

"Hey Brock, do you know your way around this cave?" Alex asked.

"I haven't been in Mt.Moon since I last traveled with Ash. I have been busy with the Pokemon doctor school and the gym, but I finished my course, and there is still so much I need to learn before I can officially be a licensed Pokemon doctor," Brock replied.

"So Brock, what is Ash up to now?" Emily asked.

"Last I heard, he was in the Kalos region," Brock replied.

"Kalos never heard of that region. I might have to go there one day," Alex commented.

"So then you plan to travel through other regions," Emily said.

"What about you?" Alex asked.

"I haven't decided yet. I just recently decided to enter the contest," Emily replied.

"Well, like I said, I want to travel to learn more about breeding and being a Pokemon doctor. So I plan to stick with you throughout your journey," Brock said.

"That's cool with me, Brock. I don't mind the company throughout my journey," Alex said with a nod."Emily, I'm sure you will figure out a plan as you go through your journey of entering the pokemon contest."

"Yeah, I guess your right," Emily said with a small smile.

The rest of the walk was met in silence as they with through many twists and turns, running into a few more trainers along the way until they came to another pathway in Mt. Moon.

"I wonder how much further we have until we fond the exit, and for some reason, I got the feeling something still going on around here," Alex commented.

"Because the Zubat that were attacking earlier?" Emily asked. Alex nodded.

"Well, ever going on, it's best if we are careful as we continued," Brock stated.

"Agree," Alex said as he noticed a zubat fly in front of him."A Zubat?" He questioned as he stared at it as it flapped its wings.

"I think Zubat wants you to catch it," Brock said.

"Oh really, is that true?" Alex asked, grabbing a Pokeball.

"Zubat!" Zubat cried out happily as it flew towards the Pokeball, placing a wing on it and getting g sucked into a red light. The ball shook three times until a click was heard.

"I caught a Zubat, cool," Alex smirked, holding up tho Pokeball before placing it in his bag.

"Nice catch, Zubat seems incredible, but I couldn't see myself using one in a Pokemon contest," Emily said.

"I will have to see a contest sometime since I never saw one before," Alex commented before the trio continued making its way down the path they were in.

Alex, Brock, and Emily then entered another area of Mt. Moon when they suddenly spotted a man in a black suit with a large 'R' on it.

"Hey, what do you kids think you're doing in here?" The man asked, walking over towards them with two Pokeballs in his hands."Get out of here, kids. You better not get in our way!" He shouted, throwing two pokeballs forward

Two Pokemon then appeared from their pokeballs, ready to battle. The first one was a Sandshrew and the second one was a Rattata.

"Hiroka, come lean me a hand!" Alex called out, sending out Croconaw.

"So you plan to interfere, huh? Fine, I just deal with you myself then," The man said.

"Who are you anyway? And why are you trying to get us out of here?" Alex asked with narrowed eyes.

"I'm part of the well-known Team Rocket organization. As for what we're doing, here is none of your business, but my job is to keep anyone from going any further!" The grunt growled.

"Well, whatever you guys are after! I won't allow you to get away with it!" Alex shouted.

"Shut up, brat! I tried to get you to behave, but now you leave me no choice since you won't listen! Don't say I didn't warn you, but you brought this on your kid. You're going down!" The grunt yelled.

"Oh no, you don't come on out, Vulpix!" Brock said, sending out a vulpix.

Vulpix is a small, quadrupedal canine pokemon. It has a red-brown pelt with a cream-colored underbelly. It has brown eyes and large pointed ears with dark brown insides, and a triangular dark brown nose. Its paws are slightly darker than the rest of its pelt and have light brown paw pads. On top of its head are three curled locks of orange fur with bangs, and it has orange tails with curled tips.

"So be it, Sandshrew Crush Claw! Rattata, use Bite!" The grunt commanded.

"Hiroka, dodge it!"

"Vulpix, you too!"

The two Pokemon then dodged the incoming attacks.

"Hiroka Water Gun on Sandshrew!" Alex yelled.

"Vulpix Fire spin!" Brock ordered.

Hiroka and Vulpix then both stormed toward their opponents.

"Emily, stay close to us for safety measures in case there is another one of these guys nearby," Alex said.

Emily nodded as she stood close to Alex as the Water Gun and Fire Spin hit the Sandshrew and Rattata, but they got back up, ready for more.

"Give up. You're not going to beat me, brats," The grunt said."Rattata Iron Tail! Sandshrew Brick Break!"

"Hiroka Ice Punch to counter!" Alex yelled as Croconaw ran and slammed an ice punch into Sandshrew.

"Vulpix Fire Spin!" Brock ordered as Rattata came running towards Hiroka.

"Rock Tomb!" The grunt commanded as rocks slammed into Hiroka. "Now finish it with Crush Claw!"

"Hiroka, get on up!' Alex yelled, eyes full of worry, but suddenly Sandshrew was lifted into the air and sent flying.

"What was that?" Alex and Brock asked.

A psyduck then stood in front of them with its eyes glowing.

"A Psyduck," Alex said.

"Excellent confusion, my dear Psyduck," Emily said.

"Wow, Emily, your Psyduck got stronger," Brock commented as he saw Sandshrew getting up and Rattata was getting ready to attack."Vulpix Flamethrower!" Brock commanded.

The flamethrower hit Rattata and knocked it into Sandshrew, knocking both Pokemon out.

"It seems that I lose this battle, but don't expect to get any further," The grunt muttered, returning his Pokemon before he rushed on off.

"Thanks, Emily, you saved Hiroka back there," Alex said, returning his Croconaw.

"No problem. It was the least I could do after you protected my Clefairy," Emily replied, returning g her Psyduck.

"Right, well, come, we should get going," Alex said.

"Wait, now that we know that Team Rocket is here, we should try to be careful," Brock stated.

"Your right. We must stay on guard," Alex said before continuing their way through Mt.Moon.
