Seto's POV
Nghh...my head hurts...what....
I slowly opened my eyes to see obsidian.
So...I was still in the obsidian chamber.... I had half-expected to have been kidnapped by them.
I carefully got to my feet, wincing at the sight of my dead followers. I'd have to get some help getting them out of here to bury them later.
Something was wrong, though. It felt like my powers were being suppressed.
I looked down at my wrist and sighed heavily. Notch dammit, that fricker had put the band on me!
I tried saying the words that unlocked the band, but unsurprisingly, it didn't work. He had changed the incantations on it.
I carefully stepped around my followers and left the chamber, walking slowly out of the dungeons. I was still kind of exhausted and not feeling my powers made me feel very weak. I had...neglected my training, to say the least, so I would be pretty useless without my powers.
The dungeons were silent as I trudged my way through them. We had no prisoners, which was a good thing, in my opinion.
After what felt like far too long, I finally got out of the dungeons of the Budder Castle. I was somewhat limping at this point, my energy fading again.
A patrolling member of Jason's army came near me, clearly worried. "Seto? What's wrong?"
"G-Gather the others...in the meeting room i-if you can...please." I muttered, wanting to sleep but knowing I had to tell everyone what had happened. "A-And S/N and B/F/N, too."
The Star clearly wanted to take me to the infirmary but instead nodded and ran off to gather everyone.
I slowly limped my way to the meeting room and went in, sitting at the far end of the table. I plopped my head down into my arms and closed my eyes, resting.
After a little while, I felt someone gently shake my shoulder. I must've fallen asleep. "Seto? Are you okay? Why do you have one of those bracelets on?" I heard Ty ask worriedly.
I shook my head and rubbed my eyes. "Ah, I...must've fallen asleep. My bad. Is everyone here?"
Ty nodded and sat down next to me. I looked around to see Ian, Quentin, Jason, S/N, and B/F/N all gathered around, looking equally as worried about my condition. I must not look good for them to be so worried.
S/N looked around the room. "And...where is Sky? He was with us not too long ago, but he had run off after saying he needed to do something."
So I wasn't out for too long...that'd explain why I'm still so weak.
I sighed softly. "Sky...isn't Sky at the moment. He's Skybrine...and he took Y/N with him."
The remainder of the team and the two others gasped. "W-WHAT?!" Jason exclaimed. "Skybrine is back?! How??"
"I don't know. You see...." I explained to them what Y/N's plan had been and how it had been working until Sky came around, or rather, Skybrine.
S/N seemed strangely distant during the explanation, so I addressed her. "S/N? Are you okay?"
She glanced over, her purple eyes doing that 1000-block stare. "Mm-mm...I can feel what took my brother and sister...it wants me, too. It whispers to me to kill...but I can ignore it easily enough. It's just annoying."
Everyone looked at her with concern. "This early? You're only 10! How can the influence be affecting you so soon?" Quentin asked.
S/N shrugged slightly. "Now that I think about it, I felt a strange sensation when I was about 6 years old. No voices, but a feeling of...something. It was probably what I'm feeling now, but weaker then."
"So did Y/N feel something, too, 4 years ago...?" B/F/N trailed off, looking immensely worried for his best friend.
"It may be stronger of a feeling for me then than it was for her. Seto came up with the theory that each sibling would be stronger than the next, right? So maybe the influence is stronger with each."
I nodded. "And Y/N said she felt the influence even as we took her down to the chamber. That was a few hours before she turned. It may be worse for you, S/N, when the time comes."
"Do we have any ideas as to where they currently are?" Ian asked.
S/N seemed to ponder the question before answering. "Probably back to Father to train Y/N...."
"Skybrine didn't need training. He just kinda figured it out on...the rest of us." Ty sighed, looking down.
S/N shook her head slightly, scowling. "I-I guess. Maybe Skybrine is being protective of her? I'm not s-sure."
B/F/N put a hand on S/N's shoulder. "Don't listen to the voices. We'll get your siblings back and you'll be okay."
"I know if I listen to the voices, they'll shut up for a time. However, I have no desire to kill anything but mobs that may try to harm us."
"So what do we do? Do we prepare for another war?" Ian asked, clearly not liking the idea. None of us liked the idea, either.
"Most likely...." I muttered loud enough for the others to hear. "At least we don't have 12 million Recruits fighting us at the same time. I'm sure we can subdue the 7,000 of Y/N's army."
"Just try really hard to not kill any of them, please." B/F/N said, looking tired simply at the thought.
"Now...what about that bracelet? You said Skybrine changed the incantations on it or something, right?" Ty asked, looking at the power suppressor.
I nodded. "It would take some serious power to remove it. Or I could just wait for Sky to get control again and he could remove it...."
"Having one of us down for the count is not a good thing." Jason said. "How much power are we talking about? A dozen powerful sorcerers?"
I shook my head. "This particular bracelet would need the power of a GOD to bypass the incantations and remove it."
"Wha...why would you need that powerful of a spell on a bracelet??" Ian exclaimed.
"Brines are powerful beings." I said simply.
"Yet Skybrine took it off no problem." Quentin muttered.
"That's because Sky knew the spell to remove it. Skybrine would know it, too. I didn't realize that I should've removed Sky from the spell."
"Well, no use crying over spilled lava." S/N shrugged.
"Milk. The term is milk." Ty corrected.
"Sorry~. Growing up in the Nether has some slightly altered phrases." S/N said, sticking out her tongue.
"So we don't particularly have to worry about S/N, at least." Ian said, grinning a little at the young girl.
"Not for a little under a decade." She replied, happy to not have to worry for quite a while.
"Well, first, let's worry about the current missing siblings, Skybrine and Y/Nbrine." Ty said, hesitating slightly on the word Y/Nbrine.
B/F/N winced at the name. "Y/Nbrine does not fit her. It's hard to believe she's related to that demon of a god. She's so...kind-hearted."
S/N nodded in agreement.
I smothered a yawn, looking around at the group. "So it looks like we may be preparing for another war, but this time against 3 brines."
"Wait, is Father not confined to the Nether? I thought he was."
I shook my head. "We locked him away in the Nether 4 years ago and destroyed all the Nether portals. Or so we thought. Clearly, he had a hidden one in that cave you and Y/N emerged from like in the book."
"But we destroyed it kinda. Y/N took out one of the obsidian blocks from it."
"And it takes immense power to reactivate one, as well. Power that Y/Nbrine and Skybrine combined most likely have."
"Not to mention Herobrine could be on the other side waiting to help reactivate it too." Jason added.
"So we have an idea of where the two brines are going. Do we want to intercept before they're able to do anything with the portal?" I asked.
The group looked at each other in thought.
S/N started shaking her head then paused. "Well...as long as someone gives the gate guards and anyone outside the directive to NOT kill any N/F. Then maybe."
"But what could we do? Like, it took all 7 of us against Skybrine to get him injured enough to use the potion. We don't have the potion yet, and we're down a person with that dumb bracelet on Seto." Ian pointed out.
"And won't we need two potions? One for each of them?" Quentin added.
I grinned. "Got that covered. I asked Jerome to get double the needed ingredient so that we could have an extra for when S/N turns. Unfortunately, that means we'll need him to go back within the next decade to get 3 times the amount of the ingredient."
S/N smiled. "That was good thinking."
"Do we know how the tribe will react to being asked for so much?" Jason asked worriedly.
"Jerome didn't talk about it at all, nor Mitch. I'm not sure." I replied, equally worried about it. Now I was concerned as to why they never talked about what happened with the tribe the last time....
"Well, we can ask them when they get back and we save Minecraftia again." Ian said, shrugging.
B/F/N shook his head. "You guys are so casual about the biggest things sometimes."
Ian chuckled. "Comes with the job of being a leader of an army."
"I was a leader for 4 years and I'm not casual about those kinds of things."
"I dunno." Ian shrugged again.
"So what's our game plan now?" Ty asked, looking around the group before settling on me.
I sighed. "We prepare for war."
Y/Nbrine's POV
I looked at my big brother and then placed the obsidian block into the hole in the deactivated Nether portal.
For some reason, I was...uneasy.
Well, I knew the reason. Y/N was uneasy when it came to the Nether and Father. Understandably so, considering my appearance. He certainly had his fun with experiments when it came to her. Us. I dunno. We were one in the same, yet different. Much like Sky and Skybrine.
It's difficult to explain when you're not us.
Anyway, I looked to Skybrine. "So how do we do this?"
Skybrine took my hand and placed it on the bottom of the portal. He then did the same. "Now...focus your energies on a thought. The thought of opening this portal and seeing Father again."
I closed my eyes and focused my power and energy and thought into the portal.
The deactivated portal started to make slight whooshing sounds and I felt a familiar presence on the other side, doing something similar to what we were doing.
Father was helping us.
After about a minute, the portal made a loud whooshing sound and I opened my eyes, grinning at the purple portal.
We had done it! The portal was reactivated!
I felt kinda tired, though.... I looked over to Skybrine to see that he looked a little tired, too.
He glanced over and grinned slightly. "Guess I'm out of practice in terms of opening portals. I'll have to get better for the upcoming battle, and we'll need you to figure out your secret powers, as well."
Skybrine stretched and went through the portal before I could ask what he meant by secret powers. Secret powers? Does he have some kind of secret power, too? And what is mine?
I sighed at his crypticness and went through the portal.
The intense heat of the Nether assaulted me to no avail. I was used to it, having grown up here for the most part. Or...she did, anyway.
Skybrine had his arms crossed, standing next to Father. He was grinning, though.
Father had no emotion on his face, which wasn't surprising. He wasn't the most emotional person.
Father nodded slightly. "Good to see you back where you rightfully belong, Y/N. Or should I more properly say, Y/Nbrine."
I grinned at the name. It suited me. "Indeed, Father. You said I would come back, and I did."
He nodded again and turned. "Come. We have much to prepare in a little amount of time. Let's begin your training."
He walked off and Skybrine and I followed. I was eager to begin training. I just hoped I would live up to Father's expectations....
