Princess Merida gets captured by Alvin the Treacherous along with thirteen other girls. She meets another prisnor girl named Lenna who tells her not to speak in front of the Outcast Tribe for her name sounds too royal and they will surely use her as a threat to her kingdom. So Merida stays completely silent. Merida ends up escaping the ship as do some of the other girls. She ends up on an island called Berk. She is then taken care of by the local dragon trainer Hiccup. Merida is unsure she can trust anyone here so she remains silent. She ends up befriending the viking but still doesn't talk because she's worried if he finds out she's from Scotland his kindness will change. Will Hiccup be able to gain her trust?
