Merida's POV

Astrid's family was very kind to me when I entered the household. They made me feel very much at home.

"So are you really mute, you can tell me if you're not I mean you're one of us now." Astrid asked me once we were alone.

I thought about if I should tell her. She had been my closest friend here besides Hiccup.

(No I'm not really mute, I can talk but for some reason I can't it's like I lost my voice while I was being silent.)

"Hm sounds like you were cursed by a witch." Astrid chuckled.

(What?)

"Oh calm down its an old legend that if you stumble upon a Witch's lair she takes your voice so you can't tell people where the lair is."

I thought back about the witch. I couldn't talk even if I wanted too. That witch stole my voice!

(I'm going to go out for some fish I'll be back soon)

"Okay but bring your bow for safety." Astrid replied.

I went out of the hut with my bow. I trudged through the forest.

"Looking for me dearie?"

I turned to see the witch looking back at me.

(Give me back my voice!)

"Oh I can't do that, you're the one who didn't want it in the first place princess. If you want it back, you need to get it yourself. You can do it, you're stronger than you know."

Then like that she disappeared.

I pounded the ground with my feet in anger. I started shooting arrows. Until I heard a noise.

Two big men came from the bushes.

I shot arrows at them. They barely even flinched. Oh how I wished I could scream! Then I saw a fist coming towards my head.
