[FLASHBACK]
Fate....- It's really mysterious.
One moment you feel like it's by your side as your companion, and the next moment it suddenly turns its back and stabs you instead, like a knife of sorrow and despair, plunging it deep into your mind and leaving you empty and lost.
How would you feel when the last hope you desperately clung to suddenly vanished?
Here is the answer:
The firm carpet of faith and belief will shatter away to nothingness as you plummet down, falling inside the ocean of darkness. No matter how hard you reach out, there will be nothing that can stop your fall. The light above will grow smaller and smaller, and your screams of agony will fade away into a cackle. Coils of self-loathing will wrap around you, stopping all your pointless struggles, and will keep their firm hold, ensuring your captivity..

That's how Dawn felt when her father turned his back on her. The moment all her painful screams fell deaf to his ears, she lost all hope. Her father, whom she loved so dearly, had long since replaced her with other people-better and more normal people. People unlike her. People that were humans.
Dawn never understood what was so wrong with her. She was like any other child in appearance. She was pretty, as some neighbours would comment, and she was an average student with a few As and Bs. Anyone would love to have a child like Dawn, which is what the 4-year-old felt until Jura moved in. The 24-year-old was like a snake slowly swallowing its prey, taking its time to torture its food. The first thing that woman did was take up her mother's spot permanently. Of course, Dawn never accepted her as her mother, but what could the 4-year-old say? Her father loved Jura. And Dawn wanted her father to be happy. She hated seeing her loving father sad, which he mostly was.
Jura Watanabe, daughter of Sora Kagami and Shannon Kagami, was a scientist. She wasn't just any scientist. She conducted experiments on questionable things, which led to her arrest before she married Gen. Gen, Dawn's father, met her during his trip to America and immediately fell in love with her. One thing led to another, and there she was living in her mother's house. The moment she moved in, she disposed of almost all the photos or portraits of Dawn's mother, which the 4-year-old disapproved of. But no matter how much she protested, her father never listened. Then came the stepsiblings.
The twins, Lara and Tim, both her age, made sure Dawn was miserable. The disgust in their scrunched-up faces was what gave away their dislike for the blue-haired girl. The moment they met, they called her 'creepy' , 'ugly' or 'weirdo' which hurt the little girl. Sure, her appearance was slightly unusual; after all, rarely do people have blue hair and such strange blue eyes that resembled the starry reflection of the ocean itself. The twins, of course, took up Dawn's room and had her move to the attic, which the blue-eyed girl thought was scary. It was cold and dark, and not pretty in the slightest, for it was covered in dust and cobwebs.
But that wasn't the end of her suffering.
[Timeskip]
Dawn sat miserably on the ground, her backpack tossed on the dirty playground, fighting back tears. The twins had, yet again, turned her into their punching bag because she topped her class with straight As, and her school wrote a flattering letter addressing her brilliance to her father. Punch after punch and kick after kick had rendered the tiny girl's face and hands purple and blue. The 6-year-old's lips quivered in anger as she fisted her hand, hitting the ground with all her might and causing a gaping hole in the ground. Big drops of the blue-haired girl's tears landed on her fists, which were now red from the sudden outburst of rage.
"What did I ever do to deserve this? Why is being a little different such a big deal for others?" Dawn screamed weakly, punching the ground. "Yes, I am strange, and I am not normal. But I still want to be loved." Her scream ended in a whisper as she sobbed loudly, hugging her sides to comfort herself. The wind softly rustled her hair back, like the warm caress of a mother. The coldness from her wet clothes had turned her frail body slightly numb, but she cared less. Her heart hurt, and her insides screamed to fight back, yet the only thing that stopped her was her father's happiness.
Gen had started feeling happier around the new people, and Dawn felt it wrong to rob him of that happiness, even if it meant she was treated like a rag doll..g doll.

.
.
.
Even if it meant she was being excluded more and more. Her father's happiness was her happiness, so she persevered.

Yet...
He left her. He abandoned her like her mother did. Left her in this cold clammy corner, at the mercy of the darkness.
All alone.

[Present]
LOCATION:- Milsy Wetlands-
Gon kept his hazel eyes on the 12-year-old girl, eyebrows furrowed in concern. Ever since the fake examiner showed up, she has been sort of different. No, it was when her request to befriend Killua failed. Ever since then, she has been extremely quiet. The green-clad boy couldn't decipher what the blue-haired girl was thinking about, for her face was quite emotionless. Gon knew that it was Dawn who made the monkey float and die. How did he know? He just had a hunch. And his hunches were almost never wrong. It was also her who stopped those cards from slicing her to pieces.
"You look constipated," his silver-haired friend commented from his side, offhandedly. "What's up?" He folded his hands behind his head. Gon hesitated before honestly asking his question. "Why did you turn down Dawn's request to be friends?" He went straight to the point. Killua stumbled as he carefully checked his surroundings. He bit his lips, wondering what kind of answer he should give. He hadn't meant to hurt the 12-year-old, but something told him she wasn't what she showed she was. There was an off-putting air around her, which, he shamefully admitted, scared him. It was the same bloodthirst and obsession that his older brother Illumi possessed. Bloodthirst was one thing, but girls with obsessions were another. It reminded him of the game Milluki often played, something called 'Yandere Simulator.' That was the kind of vibe he got from Dawn the moment he laid eyes on her.
"I am not sure how to explain it, but I don't really like her." He answered, lamely. Of course, there was no other explanation he could give, as Gon was oblivious as hell. "Why?" And he had to ask why.
"Look.. I just don't like her, ok? End of topic!" Killua snapped at his friend, irritated. "She was hurt. It is not nice to hurt others, Killua." Hurting others? Well, he had a Ph.D. in that line. He was a master at hurting others to the point they never returned, and here is his friend giving him an important life lesson. Note-taken."Can we not talk about her? We should focus on the examiner!" The 12-year-old boy huffed, turning his head to the side. Gon raised his finger to speak but ended up not saying anything. Her aunt had told her that friendship is not easily created. Sometimes, it takes time, trust, and faith to grow into a tight bond. Understanding was the key factor, followed by love and care. The green-clad guy cared deeply about the girl, even after having only met her a few days ago. Dawn was his first friend, and he hated seeing her sad.
I hope things turn out better... he thought to himself, glancing at Dawn.
Suddenly the bluenette looked behind her, her eyes searching until they met Gon's hazel eyes. Her eyes looked a bit startled, and her expression was that of shame. Gon tilted his head in confusion. Why does she look so ashamed?
The tiny girl quickly fell back a few steps, joining Gon at his other side. "Gon, I am so sorry for ditching you like that...!" Dawn squeaked, looking troubled. Gon shook his head and smiled sweetly at her. "Its ok. Anyway, this exam is pretty interesting, right? We have been running like this for hours!" He started the conversation, to which Dawn nodded. He did not voice his concern because it seemed like Dawn was avoiding talking about it on purpose.
"Right. I wonder how long we have to run." The pale girl wondered, slightly happy that she was not asked any questions regarding what transpired earlier, as she carefully matched her pace with Gon's. It was difficult for her to run so slowly, but she had to anyway. Concentrating on Satotz, more like running away from prying eyes, had resulted in her speeding up, so she kept her focus on Gon. Dawn had mentally scolded herself for being so bummed about the rejection and for being a scaredycat and ditching Gon in the process. Her instincts told her that Gon was not like the other humans and that he could be trusted, and that trust extended to Leorio to some extent too. And it was her instincts that always proved useful throughout her life. "Why? You can't keep up?" Killua sneered from Gon's left. Dawn felt her eyes twitch, and she glared at the tall boy. If he did not wish to be her friend, then she wasn't going to force him. But she was not going to sit back and get picked on. The moment she snaps will be the worst day for the silver-haired boy. What? She never said she was a goody-two-shoe angel. "Cut it out, Killua." Gon scolded. Killua shrugged and looked back, scowling at the presence of the clown. "Gon, let's get in front," he said, his eyes narrowing. "Getting scared of the clown, I see." Dawn, not wasting her turn, taunted from the right, earning a satisfying hiss from the silverette.
"It will get us away from Hisoka. He has killed and wants to kill again. The fog will make a great cover." Killua explained. Gon tilted his head, at which Dawn mentally squealed in adoration. "You must be wondering how I know." Killua smirked as Gon nodded. "The fact is, I am like him. I can smell it in him." He added sinisterly. Dawn felt her footstep almost come to a halt as an alarmed look crossed her face. Gon sniffed Killua before scrunching his face. "Does he stink?" Dawn asked, covering her alarm and smirking.
"Hey-!!!!!"
"No, but how are you like him? You don't seem so." Gon spoke with wonder and curiosity.
"Heh. I am just good at playing innocent."
"No Gon. He is a princess from a faraway country, called Cotton Candy Paradise~"
"Say what?!!!!"
"What??"
Gon looked back and forth between his friends, sweating in terror. Did he mention he disliked quarrels? He shook his head before turning back. "Leorio! Kurapika! You guys should get up here front!"
Killua tripped but managed to balance himself well, but Dawn wasn't so lucky. She face-planted the ground hard. Simply oblivious was not the only word to describe Gon. Idiot! She scolded him in her mind, shaking her head.
"Fool! As if we have the stamina to do so!" Leorio yelled from behind. "Don't worry, Gon! We will catch up with you later!" Kurapika said while hitting Leorio. "Don't call the child a fool. He is simply concerned." He hissed. "Fine, fine. Anyhow, the fog is getting thicker." Leorio noted, and surely enough, thick mists surrounded the examinees. That brat better be careful...

Dawn couldn't help but zone out. Her head buzzed with dozens of questions. How many days must have passed in her dimension? What would happen after she finished her mission? Would she finally have a family? Will her mother recognise her? Will she be able to get out of that merciless, murky corner and see the light? Hisoka saw her using her power; did that mean he would target her now? Will he turn her hands into petals? What about the other contestants? Their power-hungry eyes had scared her shitless; only Jura often had that look, and when she had that look, there was a world of pain waiting for her afterwards. Dawn hated pain. It felt unpleasant and depressing, and it constantly affected her magical core. The little lass made a mental note to leave the country as soon as she got her hunters licence. She had read in story books how the main character never stayed in one place for too long and was constantly on the move to confuse the enemy, even going as far as planting false evidence. But she had to admit that she would miss her cheerful, green-clad friend a lot.
"Oi blueberry!"
A tick mark appeared on Dawn, and she growled at the begrudgingly handsome silverette. "What?!"
"I said we were going to the front. Follow us if you don't want to die." He grumbled, earning a long, mocking stare from the girl.
"What? Have anything to say?"
"OMG! The boy has brains. Bravo!" Dawn snarked with false bravado. The reason nobody dared pick on the girl was because the moment the pre-teen snapped, she would double it and pass it back to them, which resulted in snotty-nosed brats wailing at the principal's office, covered with feathers, mud, semi-permanent glue, bruises, or missing teeth, with angry parents. "What the hell do you mean?" And she felt satisfaction from his irritation. "I meant what I said."
Killua growled and increased his pace. "Let's leave her behind, Gon. I don't understand how you can be friends with her or even trust her. I bet she has been using her 'powers' to leech off you and your friends to get this far." He looked back to gauge her reaction with a victorious smirk, hoping to vex her with his scathing remark, ignoring the disapproving glare of the green-clad boy. What he did not expect to see was the extremely hurt expression on her face, which made her glowing face pallid.
Dawn felt her eyes mist and her stride falter. How could he say such a thing? She had fairly battled her way through life as her own companion, saviour, and comforter, constantly fighting her demons to keep herself sane so she wouldn't succumb to the temptation of power and become someone that everybody feared and hated. She had never abused her abilities, even though they could have made her life easier. She had the option to fight back for an easier life, a life without pain, a life where people were bound to respect her, but she didn't. There would not have been a difference between her and the people who hurt her then. Why can't anyone see that, though? Was her existence so soiled for her to receive such abhorrence? Maybe an abomination like her should not exist. A monster like her was better off dea-
A strong hand gripped her bony one, pulling her out of her chaotic thoughts. Eyes wide in shock, the blue-haired girl realised that she had slowed down to a near stop. The grip on her limb was gentle but firm, and it tugged her forward. " You are wrong, Killua. I may have known Dawn for a few days, but she is someone I will trust with my life. She is a very precious friend." Gon's voice was oddly stern and his brightness was blinding; it was almost like he was the brightness himself.
Gon.... You say that because you have no idea what I am. Would you still look at me this way if you knew the truth?
The warmth exuded by the small kid swept away the last vestiges of gloom that remained in her. This was the warmth that had drawn her like a moth to a flame to the green-clad boy when she first met him.
He will leave you.
I refuse to let go.
He will look at you in fear.
I never want to let go of this person.
Humans lie. He will loathe you.
Please never hate me, Gon; my heart will not be able to endure it.
Dawn bit her lips as she hid her face behind her fringes, for her face was streaked with tears. If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up. "Thank you, Gon," she whispered softly, a small smile gracing her face. She will live this fantasy for a bit longer-an illusion where she was a normal kid enjoying her life with her dear friend-because once the curtain of truth falls, it will be time for her to awaken from this dream.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Killua felt irritated. He had not intended his remarks to have such a negative impact on the 'blueberry'. He was only attempting to annoy her! How was he expected to know that it would make her feel so bad that she would cry? It's not his fault; she's quite sensitive! And now he got scolded by Gon of all people! Tch!!!
The trio proceeded quietly.

[TIMESKIP]
While running, Dawn carefully noted the information she got from this wetland. For example, the Noggin Luggin' tortoise grew straw man berries on its back to lure in lost people and eat them. This creature could be used to increase defence back at my mom's place. Another was a huge frog, which was quite slow. It hid itself underground, waiting for prey to pass over its open mouth, and it was green like grass. She had to be careful with that one, then.
Looking back, the little girl tried to find her older friends, but the fog blocked her vision. Worry clouded her slightly puffy eyes as she swivelled her head, but the fog blocked her vision. "Gon, can you sniff Leorio and Kurapika? I am worried about them," she whispered, feeling the tension. "I can smell them. They are behind us. I hope they are okay." The green-clad boy squeezed Dawn's hand, concerned as well. "Don't space out. You have your own worries. For instance, the fog is so thick that we can barely see what's ahead of us. If we get separated, that's it. We are swindler chow." Killua, who was silent the whole time, spoke. Dawn glanced at him, furrowing her brows. She was used to his behaviour by now. "I know. But they are our friends, and it's normal to worry about them." If anything happened to her friends, she would find the hunter's exam director, the examiner, and whoever hurt her friends and annihilate them. And she was serious.
"Are you insane? This is a test. Friendship isn't important here. If you hear your buddies cry, you know they're dead." Killua laughed. He couldn't comprehend their pointless preoccupation with caring for others rather than themselves. When the circumstances are not to their advantage, these so-called pals will betray you at the drop of a hat. What idiots-
Dawn could not control her fury when her hand met Killua's soft cheeks. As the astonishment in his gaze finally registered, her eyes tightened in rage. "Did you just-"
"Listen, you both!" Gor yelled desperately. "I just heard Leorio and Kurapika's yell. I think they are in trouble. I am going to go search for them." Not giving the other two the time to comprehend his words, Gon let go of Dawn's hand and dashed back. It took a second for the blue-haired girl to realise what the hazel-eyed boy said. Her friends are in trouble!
She was ready to rush after Gon when her hand was wrenched back and she collided with Killua's strong chest. "W-What-?!" Dawn stammered as she felt both of her hands become entangled in his grip. "What are you up to? Let go!" His grip stayed tight no matter how much she squirmed. "You slapped me." The silverette stated lowly. "Well, you deserved it, apathetic jerk!" Dawn growled, not looking up at his face. The pale lad let go of her hand before seizing her chin and forcing her to gaze up at him.
Frightening.
He was terrifying.
Dawn was abruptly back at home, in the basement, at the mercy of Jura. The silverettes' visage gradually became Jura's.
The emotionally fragile youth swallowed her bile back. She was going to die. Jura will kill her. "Do not touch me. Do I make myself clear?" He snarled angrily, and the girl could only shrink in dread. Her chin ached, but she couldn't move. "I..I..." she began in a feeble voice, unable to stop the tears that streamed down her chin. "I'm sorry!I'm sorry! I will behave!" she automatically chanted again and again as terror grabbed her entire body.
'I am sorry' were the three words that had always been the saviour of her life. Every time Jura went too far with her tortures, Dawn could only apologise to survive her wrath. It was like an in-built defence mechanism in her, drilled into her mind from a very young age. She was supposed to have grown stronger, yet here she was apologising to survive.
This snapped Killua back to focus, and he hastily withdrew his hands back, letting the adolescent fall to her knees. He didn't mean to make her cry or frighten her so badly. "I am sorry..." she kept repeating, keeping her head bowed. Biting his lower lip, Killua stepped away from the girl before turning around and running away. He'd lost control. He thought shamefully.
Darn it!
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
[Timeskip- 20 minutes later]
Dawn was constantly shaken to her core by a question.
Did the Almighty despise her? Why was she born so unfortunate that she got into trouble three times in one day?
When she observed Leorio and Kurapika fighting Hisoka, the bluenette's hands shook. She knew the clown would murder them because he smelled like blood, like Jura. Dawn had avoided the clown deliberately since he reminded her of that beast in every way. Both were sadists, as she realised the instant she saw him. Sadists, more than anything else, love blood showers. How her father married that crazy woman was beyond her. Well, now Killua is on the people-like-Jura list too.
The sight of dead bodies sprawled over the green meadow made the youngster cringe. Dawn stiffened as her friends dashed in opposite directions, each racing as if their lives depended on it. Gon has yet to be seen. Good.
"Excellent move. I'll give you 10 seconds for it." The clown declared, shuffling his cards and beginning the countdown.
Come on, boys, run faster! I'll try to buy you both some time!
Dawn hurriedly began searching her brains for a suitable diversion spell that would allow her friends to go while not revealing her hiding location. She lacked confidence though, especially in her hand-to-hand fighting because she had no source to learn from, and Hisoka Morow sure as hell wouldn't allow her time to perform a spell. Her superhuman strength and endurance would be insufficient against someone as skilled as the jester. The pink-haired man stood out among the other contenders. She'll never catch him off guard.
However, the juvenile's brainstorming came to a screeching halt when one of her friends had the audacity to return and confront the clown himself. Who was the moron? The famed bespectacled, gorgeous fool, Leorio Paladiknight.
What exactly are you doing, Leorio?
"You blasted moron, don't strain your head. I'm not the kind to just take it without retaliation!" As he yelled this, he charged towards the jester with all his might, with a heavy wooden stick. "Leo-" Dawn couldn't say anything since Hisoka was standing behind Leorio, ready to stab him fatally.
"DRAKAIN ELEMUS:- FEIRRA HYRE."
With an audible snap, a scorching fist smacked against Morow's jaw. The impact threw the madman into the air, breaking many trees in the process. Unfortunately, the clown was tougher than she expected, as he swiftly gained momentum and tossed a succession of cards at her. Dawn swirled and flipped in the air, casting a delaying spell on the cards before grabbing them and tossing them back at Hisoka. Two of them dug uncomfortably through her flesh, revealing her inexperience. The murderer effortlessly avoided them and, for some strange reason, seemed thrilled at her unexpected arrival.
The 12-year-old was well aware that what she was doing was suicide. But she was not going to allow this psychopath to murder her companion. She'd simply have to put up with Hisoka's attacks until her friend made it to safety. What could be worse than being severely maimed? Dawn took a combat posture, clenching her fists. "Leorio-san, get out of here! I won't be able to protect both of us." She shouted, her gaze never leaving the pink-haired madman swaggering leisurely towards them with a wide grin on his face. "Such tenacity~"
"I'm not going! That jerk has to be educated-"
"Fucking get out of here, you imbecile!" The dragon youngster snapped, uncharacteristically, glaring at her recalcitrant companion with such ferocity that he backed away accidentally. Dawn took a deep breath, prepared herself for more blows, her gaze returning to Hisoka, when she was abruptly hauled to the jester. The bluenette yelped as she tried and failed to grab some of the bushes. The distance shrunk between them and the fear intensified in Dawn as she prepared her body to endure whatever the jester had planned for her.
TWAAACK!!!
A solid blow made the girl gag on the food she had eaten in the lift, and a sharp hit to the forehead sent her crashing to the ground. Dawn's air was knocked out of her as she staggered to her feet, searching for Hisoka, who was nowhere to be seen.
Where-?!
The clown's presence was signalled by a slight ruffle behind her, but she was too slow to do anything as he sliced his card, trying to slit the fragile girl's neck. But before he could, a red fishing tip struck him in the jaw, catching him off guard. Dawn moved away from the clown as everything eerily went still. "Not bad." Hisoka grinned rubbing his jaw as he slowly turning his head to look at Gon. "A fishing pole! How inventive, and a female with the strength of 10 lions! I'm experiencing a field day!" commented the clown as he loomed towards them, hands poised with more cards.
A familiar figure moved and Dawn cried out as her sharp gaze met Leorio's. "Leorio, don't-!" He will kill you!
"Hey, clown! Forget something?!" Leorio, believing the jester had relaxed his defence, shot up and redied his weapon to deliver a devastating blow. He was not going to sit there and be defended by two youngsters. But all he received was a mere punch from the bored clown. He crashed to the ground, immobile. Dawn's glassy blue eyes could only look at her friend's corpse-her cherished friend's body that remained completely unresponsive.
Even when the clown had Gon's neck in his clutches, her legs remained frozen.
Is this the end?
Is this how the people she cares about would perish as she stood there, useless?
"I may have known Dawn for a few days, but she is someone I will trust with my life. She is a very precious friend."
"Oi, brat, make sure to stay away from perverts!"

Dawn's mind went blank as her conciousness faded.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Gon desperately clawed at Hisoka's vice-like hold, choking for air. He can't die here, not when his friends need him. His fishing pole was too far away, and he was at least a foot above the ground. He was losing consciousness when, just as he was ready to die, a bone-chilling aura encircled the entire woodland like a dome. Birds fled their nests, and animals scurried to safety. The trees nearest to the source began to wither, losing their life force, while the wind screamed like an enraged devil. As the malicious force rendered Gon's body immobile, the boy found his teeth chattering violently. Is this Hisoka's bloodlust?! He couldn't flee since he was still hung in the air in a choking grip.
I am sorry...Leorio..Dawn..I can't hold on..any..longer-
The nearly-dead boy was abruptly dropped to the ground, wheezing and gasping by Hisoka, who was observing the anomaly with great interest . This bloodthirst-that was what he was waiting for. His piercing yellow eyes zoomed in on the 12-year-old child with whom he had intended to toy before finishing her off. Ghastly, olive eyes had replaced the jewel-like blue eyes, and all the colour of her appearance seemed to have been drained. Her hair, now a beautiful vantablack, danced with the current like writhing shadows. As suspected, this kid has potential after all. Now he just needs to cultivate this fruit to its finest. Morow shivered in ecstasy, feeling his mouth water at the prospect of fighting this enigma at its full potential.
"Dawn~♣️♣️♦️!!"
The moment the man said her name, the juvenile let out an animalistic roar that rang and bounced off for miles and miles.

[Back with others]
Several contestants fell to their knees, gasping for air and some died of heart attack. The skilled and experienced managed to go forth without any problem but those weak of heart could do nothing but drag themselves after Satotz. "W-what kind of creature is this?" One stuttered looking around, praying to not see it. Whatever it was was better off wherever it was, far away from them, for they had no guts to face it.
Killua being a professional, wasn't that bothered by the bloodthirst but he would be lying to say that he wasn't affected. He could feel his hands and legs tremble but he forced on a fake strong facade. He had a feeling he knew where this bloodthirst and that scream came from and he sure as hell hoped he was wrong. If not, then he was going to be in trouble.

[WITH DAWN AND OTHERS]
Hisoka in his life had never seen something as beautiful as the black that danced around the tiny girl like a ribbon. The shiny black moved like a rattle snake, reaching at anything in its surrounding and sucked the life out of it. 'Kill you' was what she said before the shadows turned into a scythe. Oh this was getting interesting Hisoka thought in glee as he tightened his grip on Gon.
The poor preteen could do nothing but thrash to break free. He too had heard the war cry and his heart raced with worry for his friend. Dawn was losing her composure and he knew she would end up either badly maimed or doing something she would regret later on. But he was helpless like an animal ready to be slaughtered and could do nothing when Dawn leaped at Hisoka weapon trained in her hands ready to chop his hand. The clown let the green clad boy drop to the ground before grabbing two cards, intersecting the scythe.
"Thats one nice grip you have over that scythe young lady~☆" he gleefully told her as they exchanged blows after blows. Left, right, up, right and left they went, the scythe and cards clashing at great force. "I was not expecting to see an experienced toddler this soon. You seem to have already grasped what you need to became a hunter. But-" he bended his body low dodging a sharp slice. "You have no control over your powers. Tsk tsk tsk." He lamented before grabbing the weapon with his bare hands and yanking it off the blue haired girl who growled in anger.
Must...protect ...friends.
"How loyal. Yet, how foolish." With a snap Hisoka broke the scythe and threw it aside. "You are still quite unripe so I must savor you till you ripe well. Well, congratulations young lady. You and the lad just passed the test." Hisoka said as he clapped his hand. "I am done with the three of you. Don't worry, your friend is alive ~ and has passed as well." He licked his lips shuddering in delight.
But Dawn wasn't done yet.
Kill him.
Those words kept repeating inside her mind as she made another mad leap at the jester. Hisoka raised his brows as he easily dodged the sharp nails. "My my~ what a bad temper." With a sharp chop to Dawn's neck he rendered the 12 year old unconcious. "DAWN!!!" Gon yelled as he ran towards her. "Dawn!!..Dawn!!!wake up!" He shook her and breathed a sigh of relief when he found her still breathing but unconcious. Quickly remembering where he was, Gon redied his fishing rod as he stood by Dawn's side protectively. He won't let this person hurt her friend anymore!
"Friendship is a fine thing. Your friend has passed the test." Hisoka said merely raising his hands in surrender before disappearing into the mist with Leorio, much to Gon's dismay to which the clown said he would be safe. With a air of relief Gon fell to his knees slumping beside Dawn. His heart was still beating so fast...from the thrill and as well from fear .
"Gon!!!!!" Kurapika's voice snapped the trembling boy back to composure as he looked behind. "Kurapika...." Gon squeaked. The angry expression meant only trouble for the little boy as he shrunk back a little. "Were you out of your mind?!!! He could've killed you!!!" Kurapika couldn't help but yell. He had watched the entire fight but wasn't able to interfere out of fear. He knew he stood no chance against the clown and the bloodthirst earlier had rendered him paralyzed. "Anyway...is she ok?" He asked crouching beside Gon who nodded and picked her up in a piggy back. "We should hurry...to the second phase." He whispered. Of course he had many questions but he knew they could wait. For now the most important thing is getting to the second phase safe and sound.
"Alright. Let's go." Kurapika said and both the boys disappeared as well.

[End of chappieeeeee~☆♡
I know I am very late with this and all but trust me guys I needed that break. I was diagnosed with depression last year October and I dedicated myself towards healing because I wanted to earn back my talents that I lost. I love writing and drawing and I am never gonna stop. Nothing will stop me from doing what I love. All that healing and break really helped me grow as a person and face all the challenges that are thrown at my face. I have decided to not be that smiling girl that would do anything people ask her to do or use. Yes I will smile but I will be now sharp and I will no longer let anyone use me ever again or bully me. And I don't need anyone's pity.. for i am a fighter. The same goes for Mr. Stalker. If you have the guts face me instead of hiding and attacking from behind.]
