My POV

  I was walking back to my house from school with my brother, Jeremy. Things were quiet after what happened between me and my ex-boyfriend, Donovan. Not you, Donovan! Oklahoma Donovan! You'll understand what I mean if you're my BFF Donovan!

  "So... how has work been?", I said not even making eye contact with Jeremy. He looked at me as if he were worried about me. Which he was, though, I do wish he'd stop worrying about me. I know exactly what he's thinking.

  "You haven't been giving me eye contact since 6th period. Are you sure your break up with Donovan didn't upset you too much? I know he's insane and you really loved him (Don't forget you still do...), but you need to get over him! You'll find someone else.", Jeremy said, trying to reassure me. I knew I wouldn't find anyone I really loved. Especially someone I loved more than Donovan.

  "I'll try, but I doubt I'll like anyone more than I like Donovan. Besides, Donovan knows where I live. He has his ways of getting to people I care about. He said if I tell on him, he'll kill me. I know he'll do the same to the next person I love. I'm scared to find someone else...", I started to tear up. I swear, if Jeremy continued to pester me over this, I'd run out of tears.

  "Have a little faith. Don't you trust me? There's someone out there.", Jeremy explained. It made me happy to know he cared so much about me, even though I haven't seen him in 10 years ever since we were 8. "How about this? I'll call the police on him so you won't get hurt? Does that make you feel better."

  "Of course I trust you! You're my twin brother! You know me more than anyone else! It does make me feel a little better, but we would have to leave town for a while. If you called the police and we left town. It would give us more time to hide away from him. They'd catch him before he caught us. I'm just hoping the authorities do catch him and he doesn't escape... this doesn't help the fact that I don't know how to get over him, though", I said worried.

  "Well, would you like to come to my next shift with me to get your mind off of all this.", Jeremy said thoughtfully. I was very confused about why he asked. I thought he said it was scary there. I don't know how he was able to keep working there for 2 more years after the first nights.

"I thought you didn't like it there.", I said with a confused look on my face. Jeremy explained to me happily, "Turns out the guy on the phone was pranking me. The animatronics do walk around at night, but they won't kill you. They're nice. They can turn human for some reason. Just a heads up." I nodded happily, "Okay, I'll come."
