💀Chapter Two💀
"I have a feeling we're going to be killer besties."
After dropping off Wednesday at her dorm and meeting her comedically colorful roommate, Weems led the remaining family members to Eurydice Hall.
Thankfully, upon entering the room the only traces of color were muted. The deep maroon and plum were barely hinted among the contrasting black that it almost calmed me.
Lounging on only what I imagine is her bed, was a black haired girl with a pale complexion and strong bone structure.
"Greetings and salutations, newbie." She uttered slyly, not bothering to glance up from the tarot cards she was shuffling.
"Hades, this is Cayley Prawl." Weems introduced, the aforementioned student finally standing to greet me.
"Piranha Girl, honored to meet the cause of the the freshmen whisperings." Cayley chuckled, reaching out to shake my hand.
I left her hand hanging there, before accepting the shake. I maybe a hell spawn, but I'm not rude.
"Vampire?" I asked bluntly, after raking my onyx eyes around the room.
"And dabbler in some light witchcraft." The bottle brunette commented, looking impressed albeit confused. "How'd you know?"
"The heavy curtains on the walls and I can still smell the freeze dried blood in your breath." I answered simply, the tiniest of smirks gracing my lips. "What kind of witchcraft do you dabble in?"
"Readings, hexes, the basics." She shrugged casually. "Nothing too intense, you know?"
"Fair enough, I suppose."
"Hades, you'll still have someone to do séances with while you're at school!" Morticia stated with an approving smile.
"This couldn't be a more perfect turnout!" Uncle Gomez cheered, gesturing between Cayley and I.
"Someone could be dead." My new roommate and I said in unison, before looking at each other with surprise.
"I have a feeling we're going to be killer besties." The vampire commented, showing off her fangs for extra theatrics.
"Agreed." I replied, raising my right hand up and allowing some shadows in the room to wrap around my arm and gather at my fingertips.
"Okay, now that was cool as shit!" Cayley said pointing at my shadowmancy.
I simply grinned mischievously, before sharing a look with my relatives.
"Let's hope not too killer, after all we don't want a repeat of our graduating year, Morticia." Weems chuckled, making me raise a brow. I eyed up my aunt and uncle, before glancing at my parents spirits.
They only responded with a shrug and an 'ask them' gesture towards the other adults.
"Cayley, dear, could you give Hades a tour before going to the registrar's office to pick up her uniform and her schedule." The Principal told the vampire with a fake smile.
"It would be my honor, Boss." Cayley snickered, looping arms with me. "It will give me an excuse to tell her all the gossip that the freshman are spewing about her and her cousin."
"Delightful." Weems muttered uncomfortably, as we exited the room and passed my relatives.
