Chapter VI
A few days later, I woke up with distant but clear fear. It was moving day. We finish packing our stuff yesterday, and I slept on the couch since we threw out my mattress the day before. We got all of our boxes into the truck. It was noon when we got done, so I fixed them my special sushi with teriyaki sauce. I put on one of my Japanese necklaces I got at an antique store while I was at a three week trip in Japan. The symbol on there stood for love (愛). I got my two customized Katana swords, two pistols, and my scythe. I put them in their sheaths before. As soon as I did, though, I felt a buzz coming from my phone. I looked at it, and someone sent me the directions to the Creepypasta Mansion. I didn't know who, but I didn't really care. I got in the driver's seat and started the truck up.
It took us about five hours to reach there, and it was dark. Soon, we reached the gates and identified ourselves. They opened the gates and I slowly made my way through the gravel road. Soon, we reached it as I feel an oncoming forcefield. I feel its energy as we go through it and park the truck. Standing on the front porch was Jeff.
"'Bout time," he said. "Took us half the day to put the boxes in the—" I see that the boxes are gone. "Don't worry," Jeff said. "Whenever you passed through the dome, your boxes teleported to the right places, your rooms." I was surprised. "Come on in," He said as he walked through the door. But there was no door. Mom and Dad held on to me as I slowly put my hand on the supposed door, only to feel another hand on the other side grip my hand and pull me through. I stumble, but regain balance to see the inside of what looked like a castle. I was in awe of the interior. The stairs looked brand new, the doorways, the furniture, everything looked brand new. "Holy shit..." I mutter. "This...this is amazing." I felt Jeff's hand pull mine up up the left stairs. Two flights of stairs and we walk down a hallway, then at a room. "That's your room," he said. "Go on, get in!" I opened the door to see a ten foot tall room. There was a bed with a water mattress on top and underneath it was a desk. There was an area perfect for my meditation supplies, a walk in closet, and a luxurious bathroom. All of my boxes were next to my desk. There was a ladder that leads to the bed on top. I get over to the desk and look up to see the water from the waterbed with some small fish. Who knew the Creepypastas would've ever lived like this? I got on the bed and I laid down, and was very comfortable. "Like it?" Jeff asked. "I...I love it, Jeff! I absolutely love it!" I say. I get down. He saw my necklace. "What's that symbol?" He asked. "Oh it's the Japanese word that stands for 'love'," I reply. "Where is LJ?" I ask. "I haven't seen him." Jeff examined my necklace some more before answering, "He's cooking dinner." I nod. "Well, I'll let ya go and unpack your stuff," he says. I nod again. "I'll let you know when dinner is ready." With that, he closed the door. I unpacked my stuff and put it where I wanted it, and got on my bed. Soon I felt nauseous. Homesickness...I thought. I did miss the Beauty. At least I have Mom and Dad with me...I really like it here but I felt off. I sigh slowly so I don't make my stomach hurt more than it already is. Soon I got down, and went down the living room. Jeff, Mom, and Dad was sitting on the couch with the supposed Eyeless Jack. EJ was...touching my mother's belly. MY MOTHER. "Oh no," Mom said. "EJ, please stop." He did so. "What is wrong?" He asked. "I think I have said this before..." I say. "No touching my mother." EJ gave a shocked look and scooted away from Mom. "I know you said that," Jeff said. "But it was part of the medical examination." I look at him, then at Mom, then at EJ. "I will start on you, is that alright?" EJ asked me. "Just don't get too...close," I reply. He nods and begins. "The only wounds I see are scars...mind if I see your back?" I freeze. I didn't want him to find out. "N-No...y-you really shouldn't..." I reply. I was nervous about seeing it, a reminder of something horrific. "I will be gentle. I promise," he said. What got me was that Jeff and a little girl wanted to see as well. Soon everyone did. My sensors were beginning to get out of control. "Everyone, please!" Mom shouted. They stop and look at her. "I know you want to see, but at least be...gentle about it." They all nod and let me show them myself. Soon I took my shirt off and showed them. It was a severe lightning scar. There was the spot where it hit me, and my veins that colored my skin and fur to where they were visible. It was a nasty scar too. I told them my story and why I am afraid of storms to this very day.
Flashback
It was nighttime and pouring rain. There was a severe thunderstorm going on, but I was brave of them. I had no care about them. I was playing with a friend I thought I'd never lose. Then, I felt a magnetic pulse, and a growing surge of electricity. Then, it happened. As soon as my friend got close, we were both struck. I survived, but my friend didn't. Later in the hospital, she was declared dead. I was in critical condition, but somehow lived...
"...I don't know how I managed to survive like that, but thanks to the doctors I did, but I was in physical and mental pain when I found out of my friend's death...and so, to this very day, no matter how strong or weak the storm may be, I always make sure I'm inside and I'm always scared to death of them...I still remember the screaming my friend did when she died..." I felt tears come out as my back began to hurt from my memories. Then, I felt hugs from all directions. Laughing Jack hugged me from the front and everyone else hugged me from the sides. I heard the scream in my head again, and I just broke into tears and cried into Laughing Jack.
I know it ended kinda sad but it's longer than the last chapter! Yeah, this was what Jarod had to suffer through in his past before the story began, so I though I should add a bit of his past so you can learn a thing or two of him. I'll update soon! Bye! :)
