Chapter V
"You will not believe today!" I sarcastically say while giggling. "W...What do you mean?" Mom asked worriedly. "Laughing Jack and Jeff came to the Tube Hero Garage today," I say. "You wanted to know the benefits of being in a house full of killers, so I asked them." Mom and Dad looked at each other. "And what did they say?" Dad asked. I told them of the benefits as they are their cooked sushi I cooked earlier. They froze on the whole "everything for free" thing. Mom sighed. "Well, it does sound beneficial coming from a killer," She said. "I honestly don't want to do this," I say. "No matter the benefits." I gritted my teeth as I ate my sushi. "Jarod," Dad began. I look at him. "We may have been here for only three years, but this house is way older than that. We'll need to move again sometime soon. If they are offering us to move in with them, then shall it be." I look down, ate my last sushi, and replied. "I understand, however..." I head upstairs. Before I went to the attic I finished my sentence saying, "...don't forget that they are insane and can kill us all." I slam the door afterwards. Tears swelled up, as soon as I immediately felt someone else in my room. "Is that you, Laughing Jack?" I call into the darkness. Jack came out and nodded. "Look," He said. I sit on my bed and give him one of my looks. "I...I know it's...strange for a killer to tell you those benefits, but it's true, I swear." I close my eyelids halfway as he continued. "Your father is right...you will have to move soon. But...at least give us a chance...please." I chuckle. "Who knew a psychopathic clown like you can be like that..." I say before getting up and walked to him. I felt strange as I did so, but I dismissed it. "Tell them...that I will think about it. Remember that I will give the final answer tomorrow," I say. He nods and leaves. I get into bed and get a peaceful sleep I never had in a long time, well a few days.
