WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN INTO
the rumoured backstory

Of course, no one knows the real half of what happened to the royal family. After the death of the king, though, the world seemed to turn against the throne, theories spreading like weeds through the population on what the royal family actually was.

What happened to the king was one of the largest ones. The cause of death was never revealed to anyone other than the family and very few staff. So, it was up to the imagination of the people to fill the gaps. Some believed that Keir, the crown prince, killed his own father after going mad, while others believed he went mad after the incident, not before. Others think that some sort of magic tipped the entire thing off, but no one can be sure of what kind, not even sure of the extent of magic. There are those who believe that the queen killed her husband, and that was why she went into a stage of grief.

Many rumours surround Keir, as well. There isn't only the idea that he had gone mad, which, admittedly, was true. Though, everyone enjoys rumouring about things the prince has done. A string of murders had started after the king passed away, and it hadn't helped when Keir shouted at the ball that one of those there would die that night. Many believe the prince to be held responsible, but there is little to no proof supporting it all. It could also be a possibility that it is why Ky shut down the presses so that he wouldn't be caught and no proof could be released.

Though, this is only the beginning of the rumours that surround the royal family. The question remaining is what is true and what isn't.
