BACKGROUND!

none of the selected had been shown to their rooms, yet. all had been kept to the lobbies by the palace entryway, their bags and belongings remaining there and protected by guards. however, at eight that night, after serving dinner, maids arrived to ready the selected for a ball. princess mirella, along with reese and rowan, were beyond confused, but they left to ready themselves, as well.

when the selected were led to the ballroom, they would find prince keir sitting on the stage in a makeshift throne, his crown on his head. in the center of the room, there was a large table with all of the names of the selected printed on individual cards. none of the other royals had made it to the room.

"i heard you didn't get a proper welcoming, yet," the prince said, "luckily, i'm here to give you one. now, i absolutely dread balls, so my apologies if anyone was looking forward to one."

he rose from the makeshift throne, jumping down from the stage and landing a few feet away from it. "instead, we're going to play a bit of a game," he continued, "because one of you won't be leaving here tonight. someone among you isn't loyal to the rest or even this process, and i intend to weed out the guilty party."

gesturing towards the table with a gloved hand, keir said, "there are numbers on the cards set on the table. they'll lead you to your first location for the night." after a moment, not hearing a peep from the room, he made his way back to the stage.

however, he stopped with a hand on the dark blue velvet curtain and added, "i recommend being careful when wandering the palace. not simply because of the rumours you've heard, but one of you intends to harm the others. if you survive, consider it your first victory."

WHAT TO DO!

the numbers on the clue will lead your selected to the room they are staying in. each selected will meet their royal at some point of waiting in their room. i will update you on what else to do as we progress!

so, i will tag you in the chain with your character's name and the name of their royal (please wait for me to do so because i need my organisation)

from there, you can place a starter of your character finding out that their clue led to their room number. the character's will be waiting for the royal from there!
