Through heat fire and ice...

Meanwhile, it was arguably the worst days in the overworld's history ever to exist. It was a blast that shook buildings, roofs, smashed windows into pieces and shattered entire lives. It was done.

Necrozma had finally got it. The final prize was set in its eyes. But first, it had to find that stupid boy Ash. It was still unclear what had happened how he had escaped, how everything seemed to collapse in a matter of moments. How and where was Ash? Necrozma somehow found that it couldn't find him, straight away, though it thought it knew where Ash was, and it was going to stop until it had claimed its final prize. Once, they thought they could restrain him, but they were too ignorant. The world was his, darkness... light. The light Necrozma needed was finally his, and there was no way that boy Ash could interfere with it. But, firstly, it was necessary to kill him first, just in case...

Necrozma seemed to smile at that thought. Finally, it could achieve true unity with its once powerful self, finally, it had what it was needed. It smiled. It had the pokemon, legends claim that it was capable of helping Necrozma achieve its final goal. The goal was simple, it needed the two beasts though, the two pokemon... the sun and the moon, and now that it had the sun, which was a Pokemon known as...

"My lord, we have believed to detect where the boys location is" came as hurried response from one of Necrozma's ultra beast's. It was Kartana, the pokemon that had served Necrozma so well, until today...

"Go and find him then, and bring him to me" said Necrozma, using him mind of course: the two ultra beasts had now developed a way of communicating in each other's minds, and even if Kartana thought it was at a fair level with Necrozma, it was wrong.

Necrozma had better plans for it. It was going to be the final pokemon to stop Ash, if everything else failed, whilst Necrozma successfully completed everything with the use of the tiny pokemon he had captured... it was strange to think how a weak pokemon could become so powerful. It was sleeping peacefully in the bag Necrozma had captured it in. And of course, the altar, whose powers should only be activated with this... and then, Kartana could be swept aside just like everyone else, a piece of rock in the endless gushing waterfall. Of course though, Necrozma still wanted to keep some of humanity and the majority of Pokemon so that he had things to rule over and control. It was certainly boring to simply wait for an eternity only to find that too much destruction was done and that there was no one left to rule over!

"My lord, should I kill him or capture him" asked Kartana.

"Capture him would be good, but kill him if he tries to do anything like defending himself!" Necrozma responded using its mind.

"Yes... master" Kartana responded.

Necrozma was not in the best of moods right now. Kartana was getting more and more out of control. It was a risk of rebellion, and therefore there was only one way to do this... it would have crushed the ultra beast if it was in a bad mood, but today, it was not in a very bad mood, so it decided to keep it alive... but of course with better caution and perhaps enslaved as well... completely bond to Necrozma's will.

Mean while, Ash and Giratina were thrown back by the humongous blast that shook the whole realm... shook the whole piece of structure they were standing on.

"What is happening?" Asked Ash, amid the chaos.

"Get down" roared Giratina, as it gave a very bad signalled message into his... companion's head.

"What is happening... Ash... Ash..." Ash found himself talking to... Ash.

He was sure he was going crazy, his brain burnt to butter and melted into nothing but milk and cream... slicing in errie silence. What was going on...

Unfortunately, Ash was no pokemon and therefore did not have much of a way to defend himself against the powerful shocks of energy that was so strong it was rippling the entire universe! His brain ached so much that he thought he was going to die!

Eventually, the energy waves slowed and calmed down to a final halt, but the vibrations still remain, buzzing sounds that intimidated Ash, driving him mad and crazy. He could almost feel like as if a hand had somehow got into his head and was playing around with it!

As if sensing something was wrong, Giratina suddenly roared.

"Up... quick" it said.

"What do you mean." Asked Ash.

Giratina quickly flew up and launched itself on the roof of the stoney fortress, through a big hole that had generated at first, when the waves came slicing through the very crease of the tower. Ash, did not have much time to respond apart from jump upwards and clinging onto a piece of rock that had somehow defied the gravity of physics and was floating in midair, still falling every now and then. It was just like Giratina had said. Gravity had somehow found its wave slowly into a realm it didn't belong in! Ash was hopping that this piece of rock would hold though, he knew it wouldn't do much to keep him alive, but at least it was a way of surviving, a piece of hope.

Suddenly, Ash caught sight of a massive figure plunging down, smoke curling from its body. It was Giratina! The shadow pokemon had somehow taken a big blow and was sinking down, seemingly unconscious. Fortunately, it soon found its way but up, though Ash could almost feel what was going wrong...

Yet again Giratina fell down, and this time it took a long time before it regained balance and shot a wave of dark energy back up. This time, it was literally directly above Ash.

"Giratina..."

The shadow pokemon looked down for a split second, only to be hit by an incoming dragon pulse.

It roared in anger and retaliated with another shadow ball that slammed into something above, causing it to drop backwards for a few moments, giving Giratina enough time to catch its breath.

"It the unbalance, there here again!" Shouted Giratina at Ash, before plunging deep down and preparing a shadow ball to fire back up.

"What's wrong? Who?" Asked Ash confused.

"It's the two..." Giratina said.

It was cut of when two fearsome roars enchanted the whole territory, bending time and warping space, Giratina was narrowly able to dodge both of them, but not without finding itself in a whirpool or time and space, slowly being dragged deep and down into obvillion.

"Giratina what do you mean... no it can't be..." Shouted Ash, amid the falling of rubble.

"It's them..." shouted Giratina...

Unfortunately, a falling piece of rubble sliced Ash's hand and he immediately winced and in pain let go of the rock, the vortex of time and space immediately sucking him in.

Even worst, two figures rose in the clearing... two that should have never been together... two that were never meant to meet...

"Palkia... Dialga...what are you doing here?" Asked Ash...

It was strange though... normally, these pokemon were meant to be fighting each other, not teaming. Also, they were clearly not under any sort of control... Ash was confused... and Giratina was too so.

Giratina, in an attempt to get free, fired a dark pulse up into the air, slicing Palkia and the others, giving enough time for them to loosen their control and allow Giratina a split second to escape. With a roar, it flooded out of the vortex hole... but unfortunately, Ash couldn't fly and was therefore still trapped in the vortex, sinking deeper and deeper. He could feel time bending... space warping... he wasn't sure whether he was still in the same time period, the same space as he was before.

He had failed... he had failed to save his friends... Pikachu was probably dead... and so was... no, he was not going to think of it... he had failed to save the world...

Then, everything blacked out.

It could say to be a good thing, as it was only moments later that all three remaining pokemon, four if you count Pikachu, who had somehow survived, were all thrown back to a much stronger force that shook the earth. In the essence of the warp lights, rose a new figure, fast and tall. It was Kartana, and a group of ultra beasts. They had come to claims their final prize, and bring it to their master.

Instantly, all attention was turned to the group of ultra beasts, who advanced quickly, slicing void with their strong weapons and heavy bodies.

The tug was getting stronger and stronger, the force more and more powerful, Ash could not resist anymore. It was too late. Even though the two lords of time and space had loosened their grip to the majestic entrance of Kartana and its ultra beasts, it was still to strong for any one to resist.

Pain flooded Ash's body, his bones bending and breaking... time and spaces crunching and expanding. Suddenly out of the darkness rose a figure, a shadow, who seemed to bore a smile, and who seemed to then disappear into void. Then came more images... ones of Ash when he was younger... in Kanto... the orange league... all flashed past.

Then, it all stopped and Ash found himself standing in a marshy area, stone columns expanding to both sides.

Where am I... Ash wondered. It appeared to be in prehistoric times, and all the place seemed to be overgrown with grass and trees. There was two shadowy figures on the distance, three more surrounding them. Ash could feel the intensity of energy coming from each of them. It was almost as if each was a living entity of light... or darkness. Ash recognised the surrounding three as Giratina, Palkia and Dialga, and in the middle was the God pokemon... and a figure made of pure light... so bright that it sunk Ash's eyes, cooked his brain and melted his whole body... Ash presumed that it was the full form of Necrozma. However, though, Necrozma seemed to knew it was fighting a losing battle, and then, all of a suddenly, its seemingly magnificent body bursted into thousands of shards, each the size of a finger. Seeing all the precious amount of power lost, Necrozma let out an anguished cry and teleported back into the warp, using its remaining energy as a way to create a light so bright that it burnt the sky and shrivelled all nearby grass and the three pokemon, four actually, surrounding it, whilst creating a gateway for it to escape back into the warp. Ash swore he heard it say...

"Even though you could think you have won, more is to come, I will regain control, and you will all be purged and destroyed... non of you will remain..." with that and a series of laughter, Necrozma disappeared, and all of the world seemed to return to normal.

Just as Ash was wondering how to get back to his time period, Dialga and Palkia started to make a vortex of time and space, a gateway to where each legendary Pokemon was meant to go to, something that took each legendary Pokemon back to the place that they were meant to be! Ash took a deep breath... perhaps... it could also work for him...

It was possible, however, Ash did not dare try anything yet as it could potentially could some confusion... after all, pokemon did not like to see humans spying on them and Ash could potentially be killed for doing so. Eventually, each legendary Pokemon stepped back into its own realm and it was clear that there was still a window of opportunity open for Ash to escape through, though he had to take advantage of it... the portal was shrinking second by second!

Taking a deep breath, Ash focused on the vortex, thousands of thoughts wondered in his head. It seemed to be only minutes but felt like hours or even years! The vortex had unlimited possibilities, but was it possible it would take him into the exact same place he needed to be: back to where he was?

Taking a deep breath, he stepped through the tunnel, one more minute later and it was too late. The portal close behind him.

Once again, Ash found himself in an endless vortex of memories, and this time taking him forward in time... he eventually saw his own life... his birth... orange league... nearly winning Kalos league... the betrayal... and finally, the moment he entered the shadow realm to find Giratina there... but how do he exit?
