The shadows of fury

"Team rocket!" Ash shouted. "What do you want"

"To show you our ability to cause devastation!" Replied James "Go Dragonite"

" wait, what?" Asked Ash, surprised.

"Now, we can finally get that pikachu! Go Charizard" Shouted Jessie.

"How did you get all of these pokemon" Ash asked, secretly giving pikachu the clue to hide in his backpack.

"TEAM ROCKET POKEMON ARE THE BEST!" Shouted James, "Gavanni gives these to us as help to catch you!"

"SURRENDER NOW OR PREPARE TO FIGHT!"

"Urgh, you know you already did your motto ages ago" Said Ash.

"Urgh...." Jessie looked at James blankly and James was like "it wasn't my fault! Don't blame me"

"Meowth!" Said meowth, "let's get a move on"

"Dragonite, outrage" James ordered.

"Quick, Charizard, I chose you!" Ash said as he let out Charizard.

Ash knew that this was an advantage because Charizard, before mega evolving into its x form, is a pure fire type and despite the fact that fire wasn't very effective against dragon types, Charizard had a series of powerful dragon moves in its move set.

"Dodge"

Charizard managed to dodge in time.

"Now dragon claw, lets go!" Commanded Ash as Charizard's claws grew green like grass on a fresh field. It's started charging towards Dragonite.

"Outrage" Said James.

Ash knew that James had put himself in a bad disadvantage by starting with outrage. After one outrage, Dragonite will be locked onto the move until it gets confused after two or three turns.

Ash waited till the powerful move was about to hit Charizard.

"Now, dodge to the side and spin towards Dragonite and hit it with dragon claw"

Ash told Charizard was to spin because:

Firstly, it would help Charizard to continue at its speed without slowing down and

Secondly, Charizard was in a much more defensive position whilst spinning, Ash could see that Jessie might order the Charizard she was given to help out.

Charizard slashed Dragonite in the cheeks and knocked it backwards.

"Outrage" mumbled James.

This time, Dragonite charged an extra strong ball of energy and Ash was caught of guard. The blast hit Charizard with a KABOOM and the force of a million mega tones.

A huge puff of smoke appeared where Charizard was hit.

Ash rushed over to help his pal.

James started to dance in excitement, thinking that he had won. He had been completely unaware that Charizard was still able to battle, despite being as weak as an ant.

In James's heap of excitement, he completely forgot that outrage causes confusion after two or three turns and that Dragonite was now banging his head on a nearby tree.

"Charizard, I know you can do it" Ash encouraged as Charizard stood up, as determined as ever. The trails of black smoke had slowly started fading from its wings and it let out a ferocious battle cry and Charizard towards Dragonite, who was still banging its head on the tree and slapping itself due to confusion.

Charizard landed dragon claw, which dealt some serious super effective damage. Ash suddenly got a plan. He could see that Dragonite had already nearly cracked the tree's root just by banging its head on it.

"Charizard, burn the lower part of the tree with flamethrower!"

Charizard let out a ferocious blast of fire escape its mouth and soon the root of the tree was nothing but black dust.

"Now seismic toss that tree to James and Jessie's direction" Ash said "let go"

The tree started falling down on top of team rocket. Since James wasn't facing the tree, he didn't take notice. Jessie did.

"James..." she mumbled and pointed.

"What?" Asked James.

"Meowth, help!" Said Meowth as it tried to run.

It was too late. BOOM! The tree fell directly on James' head and smashed him into human pancake whilst Jessie managed to pull her upper body out in time though her legs were still stuck underneath.

"MEOWTH!!!!! My tails stuck!" Cried Meowth.

Meanwhile, a local bewear who turned out to be wondering in the forest got a wind of what was going on and even decided that it wanted to join team rocket! It ran to the tree and with unbelievably strong strength, lifted the tree and pulled James and Jessie out. Then he grabbed Meowth by the tail and took off into the skies with a big leap. Dragonite and Charizard followed.

"Hey, stop pulling my tail, it's going to snap, it's already broken from that tree falling down on me" Said Meowth.

"This is even worst than being blasted of by Pikachu" commented James.

"HELPPPPPP" screamed Jessie. "It seems like team rocket is blasting off again!"

Then, the three pokemon thieves and four pokemon disappeared from sight.

"Phew, that was easy" muttered Ash, "Now it seems like as if finding our money is going to be much harder than defeating those guys!"

Ash's pokemon pals couldn't seem to agree more! They were all very hungry.

Ash gives Charizard an hyper potion and decided to get a move on.

Since they had lost all their money, and none of them seemed to be in a mood to look for them, Ash decided that he would have to battle a few local trainers to win more money and buy some lunch.

(Meanwhile, far away)

A distant light shown like the stars glittering in the night. Then there was a huge smoke. Ash, curious as ever, told Charizard to fly to where ever the smoke was coming from.

Just as Charizard was closing in on the black smoke, a glowing golden orb of energy appeared from the black smoke, jagged rocks as sharp as the blades of a knife surrounded it. Charizard was caught by surprise and got hit.

When the glow of energy slammed into Charizard, an huge explosion erupted around it and Ash was knocked of Charizards back. He wasn't the only one, however, who was falling. A few seconds later, Charizard fell after his trainer too. Despite the attack not dealing much damage, Charizard found that it was completely unable to catch air one and fly again. It had never felt so helpless, air was supposed to be its territory!

Lucky, both Ash and Charizard landed in a bush, spluttering the leave; then they left the bush unharmed due to the leave's cushioning their fall.

Since Charizard were unable to take airborne, Ash and Charizard were stuck on the ground.

"Whatever fired that much be really powerful" Said Ash as he pressed his nanodex and pointed it at Charizard, wanting to know which move hit it. Normally, a poke dex would require a registration chip from the region to be able to analyse and tell you the pokemon data etc, but the nanodex was different! Made out of the newest technology, it was made to require no signal, being waterproof, and being able to withstand heat.

Ash pressed a few buttons on the mini screen that was also a waist band and soon, a metallic voice said:

"Charizard has been under he effects of the move smack down, thus making it unable to take airborne until the effects wore off."

Then the nanodex started buzzing about how much damage it dealt etc.

Ash decided to scout the surrounding area, hoping to look for whatever caused the black smoke.

Without walking for long, Ash had already discovered this place to be an uninhabited forest. It wasn't hard to find where whatever that was inside went. For some reason, half of the path seemed to be eaten by something really big and strong. Some branches were crushed, others won't.

Soon, after following the trail for some time, Ash and Charizard stumbled across an clearing. This part was obviously the middle part of the forest, where the trees were thickest.

Looking around, Ash couldn't see any other eaten branches or crushed trees. The trail seemed to end there. Just as Ash was about to give up, the ground started rumbling, it was like an earthquake with magnitude 10!

Ash was beginning to wonder wether the nearby trees were about to topple over and smash him... when he noticed that something was wasn't quite right. The trees didn't seemed to move with his, it was as if he was on a land of his own. Then he realised that it wasn't the land wasn't shaking, rather something underneath his was.

BOOOM! An explosion so strong erupted that the whole world turn upside down and the nearby trees busted in flames.

The ground below Ash parted to reveal a crab like monster, too big for a crab, with night black, rough skin all over its body and two huge pincers. It was huge, nearly twice as wide as Charizard with its wings spread out.

It's eyes was glowing with a yellow colour that radiated fear. It wasn't the yellow colour of sunlight, rather the colour of the setting sun.

For a second, Ash was paralysed with fear.

Then Ash snapped to his senses.

The creature opened its mouth, as wide as a building, made a loud roar that shook the earth and fired a purple jet of energy towards Ash. Ash was lucky to dodge the blast.

"Go infernape," Ash said as he transport a poke ball out of his nano dex by selecting its image in a poke storage file and then pressing a few buttons and activating a laser beam that bursted out of the side of the nanodex and formed the shapes of a poke ball, infernapes poke ball.

The mysterious pokemon didn't hesitate to let out another jet of dark energy from its mouth. Infernape managed to dodge it and fire back with a powerful flame thrower.

The mysterious pokemon responded with a stream of acid.

Ash held up his nanodex and the machine said in a metallic voice;

"Belch, a powerful move only performance after the pokemon used an berry"

"Wait! What? How is this possible, I swore this Pokemon didn't use a berry" Ash said.

Then he pointed his nanodex at the mysterious pokemon, hoping that it would tell him the Pokemon's name.

"Unidentifiable"

The machine said in a metallic voice.

This could only mean one thing: this was an ultra beast. Ash could feel his stomach jerk in fright. What could happen next?
