The plot
The plot
Professor Oak dragged himself onto a nearby chair and took a deep breathe. He hoped professor Kukui would help him capture or kill Ash.
"Urgh...I just wanted to ask whether you could..."
His voice trailed off like the torrents of gusty wind among the trees.
(Outside the tent, same time)
Brock was getting impatient. He had hid himself in a bush nearby but it apparently had thorns and the leaves were making his skin itch. He didn't get why the professor took so long. Would it have been easier just to march in with his Pokemon and force people to do his will instead? It would save or of this blabbering.
Every now and then, the sky would ignite like blazing fire and the sun would then seem to become darker. The trees waved their bony arms and chattered their shrivel teeth. The tent seemed so close, their goal was so close, yet disrupted because this stupid professor decided to take a tea break and try words instead of wits. To Brock, wits were more important then words, but deep in Brock's heart, he knew that words were just as important. The wind became ghostly whispers among the trees, sending chills into Brocks heart. Sometimes he wished one of the girls were here. Beautiful girls always seemed to calm his mind.
He clutched his Pokemon ball with his shadow steelix in one hand, a Pidgey hooted in the distance, and there was a few short rustles in the trees, then all was quiet.
Blackness covered the undergrowth, apart from the light within the tent, that had slipped from the cracks of the door, there was nothing else. Brock wanted to swear out loud, but it was apparently 'impolite'. People had said Brock had changed, become more ruthless and stubborn after betraying Ash, but Brock didn't care. His heart was filled with hatred and blood.
"Blood"
Brock whispered. Then, a mouthful of hatred pushed up again and send his mind into hollow crevices of madness. He had become a vampire, having a thirst for blood...
"I NEED BLOOD"
He screeched as he let steelix out of its poke ball.
"Stupid creature, attack that tent"
He ordered.
Steelix obeyed, it's tail growing longer and more metallic and then, it slammed into the tent...
(Inside the tent)
"...Ash is evil, a spy, help me kill him and you shall finally be freed from him..." Professor Oak had tried all he could to try to get the professor to help him. He wanted Ash dead, but he didn't know why.
"Wait, is that true?" Asked professor Kukui.
"Trust me" Professor Oak hissed, "for I shall..."
Suddenly, the tent was on fire, shaking madly, a huge tail meters long bashed into the tent, knocking half of the shelves over and grabbing Professor Kukui, dragging him out.
Professor Oak was too shocked to do anything.
"Brock" he snarled...
Indeed, on a small mount of mud, was Brock, a face full of pride.
"WE ARE MEANT TO BE KILLING ASH TOGETHER, WE ARE IN A PLOT, SO I HAVE CAPTURED THIS DUMB...THING... YOU SHOULD FORCE HIM TO DO WHAT YOU WANT THEN USING YOUR WORDS" Shouted Brock.
"BROCK, DAM YOU! YOU RUINED THE PLAN! NOW PEOPLE KNOW WE ARE EVIL AND... wait, what are you doing?"
"I shall kill him" Said Brock, "and drink his blood".
At this, shadow steelix started to wrap its body around Professor Kukui's neck and suffocating him.
"He won't get out of here alive so why worry?" Asked Brock as he tried to bite Professor Kukui.
He took out a knife about 7cm long, but very sharp and sturdy, and tried to poke it into Professor Kukui's neck.
Brock went down, knocked unconscious by a huge metal creature: Gladion's Silvarry's body slam.
Shadow steelix immediately released professor Kukui, not knowing what to do without its trainer.
(Same time, with Ash)
The last few minutes was a blur! Ash vaguely remembered the tapus offering him a ride back to the capital of Alola. Apparently, the purple borders had now weakened and the tapus flew easily through.
Tapu koko carried pikachu and Ash, the other 3 tapus following behind. The evening win rustled against his shirt, but he didn't feel it, the sun was behind the shades of a nearby hill, but Ash didn't notice it.
The waves roared below, and the sky darkened more.
The sea shores of Alola came closer and closer every second, yet Ash could not bare to survey the damage he shall see below and kept his head up for the whole time. Every now and then, however Ash would notice a wreckage in the corner of his eye or a completely toasted building that had been sliced like a cake, into halves by a particularly strong attack.
Ash could not imagine how much the city would look after tomorrow, if there was an attack as well. He sighed and looked at the bright side. They had done it, saved thousands of lives from perishing by distracting the ultra beasts... yet many more had died. There was one other thing, they had survived for a whole day!
Then, they landed. Ash felt his stomach jerk and then he realised that he was clutching his stomach in pain: he hadn't ate for a day!
Tapu koko deposited Ash and Pikachu onto a field, that was so burnt and scorched that it looked more like a plain. Before Ash could thank it, it flew off with all the rest of the tapus in the tawny sky.
Ash could barely make out the seaside, every where, trees torn and mountains ripped... only caused by a few attacks hit... the population density was so great and the buildings were so closely built together that a single flame could have ignited the night without any problem. Ash wondered how many were hurt, injured. Memories no longer seemed to haunt him... but a prophecy remains, to be fulfilled. Ash knew all he could do was done, and he had offered what he could. Suddenly, the eerie darkness wasn't so creepy and the thought of death wasn't as sad, though it was still bad. Ash knew that he could not thank his pokemon more for what they had did for him today. Now, it was time to help the wounded and have a rest. Through the many experiences of death and misery, Ash had began to grow.
(Around the same time, in team rockets base)
Serena lay still, weak but not quite dead. Was her death near? Was she dying? In the darkness of her thoughts, a tiny bit of hope remains.
A shadow was casted upon the surface of a nearby table, and Govanni, the leader of team rocket, stood. To his side were two rocket grunts, with raticates at their sides. Govanni's own Persian stood by the side, licking its paws.
"Has the girl died yet?" Asked Govanni.
"No master" Grunt number 2
"Then, is that wretched boy, Ash, showing any signs of coming to rescue her?" Govanni asked coldly.
"No.. sir, but I can check our spy bots that had been sent out" Said grunt 1
"Go, right now" ordered Govanni and grunt number 1 hurried off.
"Now, how is Jessie and James doing? Have they acquired the piece of information I was wanting?" Govanni asked the remaining grunt.
"No clue sir" the grunt replied.
"Then do you know..."
Govanni was cut of when the door opened and grunt number 1 returned.
"No sign, Ash seemed to have... forgotten about her!" Reported the grunt.
"Impossible! Are you telling me that Ash doesn't want to rescue one of his loved ones? You mean this operation is completely useless?"
"Yes... I mean no... I mean Urgh yes" the frightened grunt replied.
"Well, then, in this case, we can perhaps release her, it is a complete waste of time doing this"
"No sir, that's not what I mean..."
Then grunt 1 whispered into Govanni's ear.
What did he say? All we know is that Govanni wants to put the plan into action.
(Same time, with Brock, Professor Oak, Gladion, and Professor Kukui.)
"BROCK, DAM YOU!" Shouted professor Oak.
Gladion ordered silvarry to attack professor Oak as well.
Professor Oak, however, wasn't a fool and even used to be a Pokemon trainer when he was younger!
He dodged the attack and search his own bag for a poke ball: Brock's shadow Golem.
It was the only pokemon that the wicked professor had with him and he didn't even know whether Golem would listen to him. However, Golem was a shadow pokemon and sadly, all shadow pokemon have their hearts imprisoned and are stronger than the majority of the pokemon.
"Golem, shadow thrower!" Professor Oak Said.
Shadow thrower was an upgrade of rock thrower and Golem started to rapidly spraying black rocks surrounded with evil aura at Silvarry.
"What move is that? What the-"
Gladion has never met a shadow pokemon and was temporary shocked.
Silvarry got hit terribly but was still able to regain footing.
"Fire back! Multi attack." Commanded Gladion.
Silvarry opened its mouth and a jet of multi colored beam started to form.
Professor Oak now didn't know what to do. His skills at battling weren't as sharp as they had been when he was younger and he didn't know what other attacks shadow Golem had.
"Dig." Professor Oak Said with a trembling voice and hoped that Golem knew how to do the move. By a miracle, it did.
"Dam it" Shouted Gladion.
He could tell Silvarry to fire multi attack into the hole but it was risky, and not worth it.
The ground beneath Gladion began to tremble, and Golem erupted beneath Gladion, and sent his flying.
"Hey, that's not fair! You can't do pokemon attacks on humans if it's a Pokemon battle!" Gladion complained.
Professor Oak sneered.
"Rock thrower on Gladion"
Golem didn't resist to fire another stream of rocks out of its mouth, a blazing black aura surrounding them.
Gladion had managed to regain footing, but had hurt his arm and was afraid he might have dislocated it. He didn't have time to react as the trails of shadowy rocks ignited by black flames started rampaging towards him.
Silvarry noticed it and jumped in front on Gladion, deflecting the rocks for its master. The rocks sprayed sky high. Unfortunately, Silvarry now collapsed of exhaustion and could barely move. Even worst, Brock had now woken up.
Like a madman, he shrieked
"Blood!"
Professor Oak shook him a few times, perhaps the blow from Silvarry had caused some permanent to his brain.
Had Brock gone mad? Professor Oak had no idea. Like a rugby player, Brock charged towards Gladion and bashed him into a nearby tree before putting his fist to Gladion's face.
"This shall end this!" He shouted.
(Same time with Ash)
The rays of black light with rocks had easily attracted Ash's attention and he had now started to walk towards the area, thinking that someone there needed help.
Leaves crunched below his feet as he entered the forest. He never knew what he was going to find there. Of course, Gladion had lived, but would he die before Ash could come?
