The Start and The Pain

Wow. Eleven days. Sorry guys, I was gonna update and I knew what I wanted to write but didn't know how to... write it down XD.

BUT HERE IT IS!!!! It's kinda short, but I clears things up a bit.

So... yeah. Next chapter title... nah I'll tell you at the end XD.

Cloaks fluttering behind them, The Spirits of the Forgotten rushed out to the warm Lothal sun.

Ezra kneeled and brushed his arm against the golden grass, a wave of nostalgia causing him to bite his lip. Everything looked so... peaceful and familiar. It made him remember of the good times, before he was handed off to Baldy and his life became a living nightmare.

"Hey Spectre E! Come on into the city! It's huge!"

The teen smiled and broke into a jog towards the others, who were already making their way to the city below. Capital City, the place he was born.

The place where the possibility of escape commenced, and the plan was put into action.

It took a while, but Zare finally managed to find the one known as Morad Sumer.

And the moment he did, he let Spectre E know.

They couldn't look suspicious, so they were slow to approach the stall. Then, he and Ezra both placed a datapad and wrapped package on the table, Spectre giving the man a salute, and luckily he seemed to understand. Without hesitation, he slipped the objects under his stall, before giving them a glare and yelling, "Move it you Imperial scum!"

"Apprentices, it is time to leave."

Just in time. With a lot of groaning and complaining, they all headed back to the base, and Zare hoped that wasn't the last glimpse of sunshine they ever got.

Hera Syndulla sat in her cell, losing hope.

They had shown her the video, they had told her their plan. And they had proved it had worked.

She didn't know what she expected. The video looked so real even though she knew it was not. The twi'lek prisoner, captured for the sole purpose of dying on camera, looked similar to her if not watched closely.

And who would watch the video of her death, anybody's death, closely?

The first days of her capture she held on knowing her crew was searching for her. Now, she could only hope that The Spirits of the Forgotten would keep their end of the bargain.

"Let's see how well you have advanced Apprentice," The cold voice of the Inquisititor rang out throughout the room, as the pau'un strolled into the cell, Ezra trailing behind and smiling sheepishly.

She would have to fill him in later.

"I want you to interrogate her like usual, but I expect results this time. I have more important matters to attend, but I will send in Agent Kallus to accompany you this time."

As if on cue, the I.S.B. Agent stalked over, a cruel smile placed on his lips.

"You will obey him boy, and if not, I have given him permission to take matters into his own hands," The Inquisititor smirked and glanced at Hera once before exiting the room.

"Uh, tell us where the rebel base is and where all the rebels are?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"C'mon."

Suppressing a smile, the twi'lek woman stated once more, "No."

"Fine," Ezra grimaced. Obviously reluctant, the teen walked over to the levers, sighing before pulling on lever down for a split second. Hera only felt a spark of electricity for a second, no more painful than a shock from Chopper, when it ended.

"Okay," the teen clapped his hands, "let's try agai-"

"You need to be merciless," Kallus interrupted. "Pull the levers down for a full minute. Then the prisoner will obey."

At Ezra's hesitant look, the Agent scowled, "Don't make me have to use the means to make you boy."

"With all do respect, sir, I don't think-"

"Are you talking back to me boy?"

The teen's eyes widened and he gulped, glancing at Hera. When she nodded, he walked over to the levers, grabbing the handle of one of them. He was about to pull it down when something stopped him.

Hera had helped him come up with a plan to make them all escape, had showed him why all his plans failed and how to make sure they would get out, one way or another. For the first time in seven years, Ezra felt loved, not like a brother or like a close friend, but as a son. He couldn't hurt her. No matter what the Imperial Agent or his Master said.

Turning, the blue-eyed boy stated in a determined voice, "No."

"Very well," the smile on Kallus's face was one of cruelty as he unsheathed his bo-rifle and Ezra's screams filled the gray walls of the cell.

All he remembered was Hera's worried glance before his world was consumed by darkness.

"I'm truly sorry for your loss."

Everyone looked towards Indigo, who's stood at the doorway, a sorrowful expression on her face.

"Hera Syndulla was a kind woman, always looking out for others before herself, and a great pilot from what I've heard. We must honor her. Fulcrum has helped me supply for a funeral, but has also given me permission to join your crew, if you would all like."

Glancing at each other, the crew all nodded, and Tahara smiled sadly, "Welcome Aboard *Spectre 11."

Mr. Sumar stood at his fruit stand, bewildered, staring at the datapad in his hands.

He stood there a long while, a blank expression on his face as he remembered Mira and Ephraim Bridger, the Voices of Freedom, and their son, Ezra, the blue haired boy who loved to buy jogans from him. He remembered the times he would visit them, the transmissions that they sent out.

He remembered they day they ceased. The day they were announced dead.

But here he was, reading a datapad with a message from the very boy who he last saw eight years ago.

All he could say was, "I knew that kid was too stubborn to die.

Yeah, not much Ghost crew action but there's gonna be soon. I'm trying to balance both POVs, but I feel like I'm failing...

Anyway, now you get the name of the title? XD

Anyways...

Indigo has joined the Ghost crew in honor of Hera believing her to be dead. How will this affect the relationship between them?

The Spirits of the Forgotten have gotten their privileges and sent a mysterious datapad to Sumar. What is on that datapad and what are they planning to do?

Hera sees that the Ghost crew fell into the Empire trap and starts to lose hope. Meanwhile Ezra is in charge of torturing the twi'lek woman and refuses to do as Kallus ordered, and is punished in return. Will both of the rebels fall, or will this inspire them to stand taller?

So what do you think of the chapter? Horrible wasn't it? So... next title is...

Discoveries of Truth. Sounds better than The Start and the Pain huh? XD. Something long awaited will finally be mended. Fluff. Only hint. XD.

Hope you like!!! :D XD
