In the end, nothing Ezra would say could convince the entire group to keep on with their escape.

A deal was made. The Spirits of the Forgotten would work on one more escape plan together. If they were to succeed, then they'd find out something to do once their out, somewhere to go for example. Kanan suggested they join his crew, seeing as they already had somewhere to sleep, eat, and so forth. Ezra said they would think about it.

If they were to fail, The Spirits of the Forgotten would continue to make plans nonetheless, however anyone who decided not to help didn't have to, meaning only those who wanted to continue could. If the remaining people were to escape somehow, they'd have to come back and find away to free everyone. No one was being left behind.

Everyone agreed on this, and started to plan things right away, yet they would not go through with it until a few days, giving everyone a time to recover, and make sure there were no loopholes in the plan.

After a while, all loopholes were covered except one.

How would they escape with Killiana? And what would happen if she were to attack them?

Hera Syndulla sat in her cell, deep in thought over the occurrences of just a few hours ago. She had the relief and hope of an escape at the least, but she was worried about the wellbeing about a group of children she just heard about.

The boy, who called himself Dev, had told her all about them, how he was the one with most experience there and how he was one who taught the rest how to act in order to survive. He spoke about how he lost many of the children the Inquisititor brought, either by escape or by his master taking them away.

She responded by saying that once her crew came and rescued her, she would go back for them, but Dev shook his head and said they couldn't wait that long, they might not have enough time to get everyone out the way they came. They needed a plan. So Hera helped them come up with one.

As she heard his ideas, she noticed that they had potential, however there were many loopholes and ways that could go differently that he didn't count on. Many times she had to stop him and work out some of those mistakes, which he didn't seem to mind. Hera was glad for that.

After that, though, they had time to talk. So she told them about her crew and he told them about his.

Getting the boy to open up wasn't easy, but once Hera managed to make him feel comfortable, it was like she was a long lost friend. She told him about Zeb, Sabine, Tahara, Nico, and Chopper and Dev told her about his crew, Ruby, Ally, Zare, Jai, and Kanan, how Killiana had turned dark, and was taken away.

What a shock Hera had when she found out Kanan was indeed alive, just wiped from existence. Sabine and Nico had been right after all. Kanan was just a few cells away from her, in the same location. Near, but far. That's what motivated her to go on with the plan. She told the boy to tell her jedi that she was there and she escaped when Hera managed to, because she would. And Dev promised.

Now all she had to do was wait for the signal. She had been interrogated a while ago, but now she had a more than one purpose to keep on fighting.

The lives of the rebellion, plus six children rested in her hands.

The Ghost crew was not going to give up just yet.

They knew it wouldn't be easy, as they didn't have a clue where Hera was. They knew there were millions of other twi'lek prisoner's just like Hera all over the galaxy. They knew it was just them against the Empire.

That didn't help them from being disappointed.

Either way, the search went on.

"So, what do we do now?" Zeb questioned.

"We keep searching. We can cross out that prison base at least. Let's keep searching the bases," Indigo responded.

"This is gonna take all night," Nico complained, "There are thousands of Imperial prisons all over the galaxy. How will we know where she is?"

"Deductive reasoning," Indigo replied, "Try to cancel out any prisons that you are sure Hera won't be in, such as ones that are too far away."

"And the prisons that have accepted new prisons," Sabine added, "Well there are some main planets we can zero into, Lothal, for example. A couple of its prisons only accepted one new prisoner, and Grand Moff Tarkin was rumored to have payed a visit to that area."

"That's a starting point," Tahara nodded, "If Tarkin visited Lothal it must've been for a reason. He should be somewhere near the area where he was last seen-"

"A star destroyer was said to have docked somewhere near Capital City, and an Imperial prison in nearby. Maybe we should check it out?" Nico suggested.

"I don't see why not," Zeb smirked, "But if it's not where Hera is at, I get to eat all of your deserts for a week. Deal?"

Nico, Sabine, and Tahara looked at each other before nodding, "Deal."

"Alright guys, you got this. Remember: No one gets left behind."

"You really think we can pull this off?"

"Certain."

"What about Ghost K?"

Ezra bowed his head, "I'm working on that Phantom A, but we'll find away. I promise. You remember our number one rule right?"

"Yeah."

"Don't ever forget that okay?"

Ally nodded, and the door opened, revealing half a dozen stormtroopers each carrying a tray of food.

Everyone reached for a tray, and ate the mush silently. The troopers looked at them oddly, as if suprised they didn't do anything for once, before leaving the room with a hiss.

Ezra was lost in this thoughts, subconsciously staring at the food. He kept wondering what would happen if another one of them were to turn. He wouldn't be able to take it. It was bad enough he found out that all the times Baldy took someone away, it meant they had turned evil, just like the very person he hated. The very person they were escaping from. And Ezra couldn't help but wonder if that was his fault, maybe if he knew more of what he knew now, none of that would've happened. What if he'd done something differently? Would that have changed the outcome?

And then there was the other people he managed to free, who promised they'd come back but never returned. He remembered that for a while, he would gaze out the small opening he called a window, waiting to see a form coming to their rescue. But he never did, and after a while, he stopped. Yet, he never ceased to hope.

"You okay?"

Ezra didn't notice Cowboy had sat next to him until he heard him talk. Giving him a quick glance, he muttered, "I'm fine."

"No you're not," came the prompt reply, and the boy felt annoyance make a home in his body.

"Yeah? Well if you're so sure why'd you ask?"

Kanan shrugged, "Wanted to see how you thought you felt."

Anger boiled up inside Ezra, "You don't know me Cowboy, you don't know what I feel."

The man's eyes softened, and an emotion seemed to take its place. Concern perhaps? Or was that guilt?

"I don't need to know you to know your hurting. I've dealt with people with pretty messed up pasts. I know how they act when they're remembering."

"You have weird taste."

Kanan chuckled, "They're not that bad once you get to know them. But I learned to know when to know something's wrong with a person. Both because of them and personal experience."

"Plus you got the fort or fork..."

"The Force. And yes, that too."

Ezra nodded before returning into silence. If Kanan could do that, did that mean that he and the others could too? What about all the others he helped escape? Probably.

"You know, you're tougher than you look."

"W-What?" Confusion laced his features as the boy furrowed his eyebrows, "what do you mean?"

"I mean," Cowboy looked at him in the eye, "is that I don't know all that many people who can do the stuff you can do. This horrible training, for one, got me exhausted the first day and you had to go through this for years plus take care of a bunch of kids. I don't know how you do it."

"It's actually easy if you do it right," Ezra smirked.

Kanan rolled his eyes, "Yeah? Well I don't know how to do it right most of the time. Not everyone has that talent, just like not everyone can last all these years without turning to the Dark Side."

"You mean we get yellow eyes and dark clothing and start killing peopl-"

"Yeah, don't go into details kid. There's children here."

Ezra laughed, his negative thoughts long forgotten. Maybe things weren't so bad after all.
