The Inquisititor always wanted to climb the ladder of power, rise above his master and even the Emperor himself.

Some would say that wasn't very smart of him, to take on the Emperor. But the Inquisititor did establish a plan, a plan that might take months, even years to accomplish. But he didn't mind. The wait would be worth it in the end.

All he needed was an apprentice, and his goal could commence.

So when he saw the raven haired boy with his mother, the Inquisititor made it his objective to seize the boy and train him in his ways.

Unfortunately the jedi seemed able to read minds, or else his intention was quite direct, for the man stepped in front of his view of the child and said, "You won't go a step near him."

"Is that so?" The Inquisititor replied. "Well then, we shall have to see for ourselves."

And with that both force users raised their weapon, and the battle began once more.

Ezra didn't look away from the strange man after the man did.

He was, well, in a way curious of the man.

Of course he didn't like him, he did just kill his dad and was trying to kill Kanan.

But he still wanted to know why he was bad if he had a glowstick like Kanan.

And why he looked so ugly.

But most of all, he wanted to know why the man seemed to be moving towards him. Seemed to be staring at him with those piercing yellow eyes, which sent chills down his spine.

And he wanted to run. He wanted to look away.

But his legs seemed to be superglued to the floor, and his eyes seemed to be locked on the eyes of the other man.

Hope was the only thing that made him believe that they would get out of there alive, or at least who were left.

Unfortunately for Ezra, that hope soon died as he heard the bald man say, "Are you paying attention boy? The jedi are dead. But there is another path. The Dark Side."

Some part of him feared what the man had said. Another part, a much much bigger part, gained courage from who knows where, enough courage to yell out:

"Tha doesn eksis Balady! Daddy neva say anytin!"

Mira quickly shushed the small boy, as the Inquisititor, now nicknamed Baldy, turned to Kanan and said, "Have you both taught him nothing? Do you really think you can save the boy? For his sake surrender."

"I'm not making any deals with you."

"Hmm," the Inquisititor lowered his weapon. "Then we'll let him make one shall we?" And with that, Baldy force pushed Kanan against the wall, knocking him out with a 'oof.' Then the man proceeded to separate Mira and Ezra roughly. Then the Inquisititor raised his saber, and Ezra watched with wide eyes as his own mother was sliced in half.

I decided to separate this in more parts because I wanted to make a cliffie.

Sorry this is short. I am going to update more frequently now though! When I find spare time I shall now work on a chapter or chapters to not keep you waiting. Yeah.

I might update every other day or I might not. It all depends on school and.....reality. :( It sucks. Right now I'm on break but next week updates might be a bit slower due to the horrific invention of school. Just giving yall a heads up.
