Sidharth's P.O.V

"Sidharth! Sid! Help!!"

It's in the middle of the night when I wake up. I heard a voice repeating my name over and over again.

"Sidharth..... Sid.... Sid..."

"Who's there? What do y-y-you want? I-I know Ka-karate!", I said with my bravest voice.

It remained silent. There was nothing except for Shraddha's breathing and my rapidly beating heart.

I was scared to death. Who was there?!

"Sidharth..."

I turn on my phone's flashlight. I shine across the room. There is nothing wrong and no things seems to be moved or broken or whatsoever.

I'll just go back to sleep then I guess...

I go lay down again and put the blanket over me. The heat and comfort are letting me sink down into paradise.

Who could've said my name? It's in the middle of the night! And there's is no one else here but Shraddha and she's sleeping!

Or was she?

I move over to her side to take a quick look at her. And unfortunately, it's true. Shraddha was calling me. Her entire face is wet because of sweat, her face expressions are not the happiest and she is scared.

"Sid...help me... please..."

Looking at her in this state releases something inside of me. It's not a pleasant feeling and I don't want to see how this ends. I carefully shake her.

"Shraddha, please wake up. It's a dream Shrads. Wake up munchkin."

She murmurs something and she carries on dreaming.

"Shraddha. Wake up."

This time she does wake up. She immediately sits up straight and she looks at me with big eyes.

"Hey there munchkin. It's me.", I reply as calm as I try to be"

Her bottom lip starts to trill and she immediately hugs me and starts crying.

I caress her hair and back. "Shh", I whisper. "Everything is going to be alright Shraddha. Everything."

She sniffs a few more times before she looks at me and speaks.

"It was horrible. I can't go through it again"

I caress her back. "To what Shraddha?", I ask.

Her face stiffens and she dives into my arms. She hugs me.

"Shraddha... can you please explain to me what happened?"

She sniffs and tells me the horror of her  nightmare:

Alia's P.O.V
Varun is silently sleeping. I move over to his side and carefully grab his phone.

It is time to start with the plan.

The plan was simple. I'd message Karan from Varun's phone and ask him details about the plan. He'd call and Varun would speak to him and ask information. Karan would tell him, we would record the phone call, show it to Sidharth's parents and we didn't have to marry because they were finally able to see what Karan had done and they would send him to court!

Varun has often told me that Karan has difficulty with sleeping and therefore always is online. I text him a message.

What ?! I'm fine. What do you want?

So Varun knew something! He was hiding something for me!!!!!

I don't know what to do Karan! She is getting married to Sid in a few weeks and I'll be left behind. She'll have no time left for her best friend!

What?! Was Varun on Karan's side? Did he lie to me about supporting me?

I moved to his side and carefully put the phone back on his nightstand, where it belonged. I looked at him. It was dark and the only thing that seemed to lit up the room , were his eyes. At that very exact moment his sparkling and shining brown eyes met mine in the dark.

We started at each other for what seemed a century when he spoke.
"Alia, what are you doing?", he asked.

I was still hanging a bit over him in order to reach his nightstand and quickly pulled my arm and body back to my own side of the bed.

"Nothing", I murmured. I turned around and was about to sleep when Varun wrapped his arms around me.

"Alia, don't be like this. Please tell me. It isn't a big deal", he said while placing his head on my shoulder. He sighed.

"Why should I tell you? It's late and I want to sleep. Can you leave me?", I asked as nonchalantly as possible.

Unfortunately for me, the person who was holding me was my best friend and he saw through the lie I told immediately. Correction- ex best friend. After all he did plan a deal with Karan about me. He planned it and said that he was always there to support me. Or did he mean support his own business?

"Varun, leave me. I want to sleep!", I said harsh.

"I won't leave you. Tell me what's going on Alu"

"Don't Alu me! I'm not your Alu anymore! Leave me!", I shouted and I freed myself from his position and lied down as far away from him as possible.

That Ass! I was so done with him!

He came to my side, very slowly, and wrapped and arm around my back while the other hand he used to caress my hair.

I was still facing the wall though.

"I'm sorry Alia. I shouldn't have reacted that way earlier. If you want to sleep then go. I will not do anything. I'll support you Alu" He pressed a kiss against my temple and I immediately faced him.

"You! What did you just do?! Varun David Dhawan! Leave me alone! I don't want to hear your lies anymore about you supporting me! Go to your ugly Karan and receive your 200 cores!", I cried.

"I don't ever want to see you again! I trusted you! And you broke our friendship! Our 6+ year friendship! And for what? For a stupid contract!", I cried.

"I loved you Varun! So much! And you broke our love the moment you signed it! I hate you Varun David Dhawan and I never want to see you again!", I added while I cried.

"Stop. Please stop. I can't take it", a weak voice said. It was Varun's.

"Alia, I can take a lot but please don't say such horrible things! I have no idea what you're talking about! Alia, please don't be mad", he said while crying. "I don't want you to leave! I need you in my life! I love you Alia and you love me too! Right? Alia, you can't leave me! It's unfair!", he stated, crying even harder.

We were both crying now. "I'm sorry Varun, but I have no other way. I need to go somewhere else. I'm sorry...", I said.

"No, Alia! No!", he said while grabbing me and pulling me to him. "I can't do this! 6+ years of friendship! You can't throw it away, not now", he stated.

"I'm sorry", I said and I freed myself from him. I grabbed my car keys, an emergency suitcase and I grabbed my phone. I changed myself into some normal clothes before leaving the mansion at 03.57
