Alia's P.O.V
Karan freaking Johar was sitting in a chair opposing me drinking a cup of chocolate milk. He took a sip and looked at us with a what-have-you-monkeys-done expression. I looked at Varun and he looked back with the same worried expression. It was dark in the room as there were only a few candles burning. Varun holds my hand and he is lightly squeezing it.

I look at him. What is he doing? He returns with the answer in his eyes; relax Alu.  I blush. Even though he doesn't know me that well he still knows me well enough to know what I'm thinking. Am I that obvious? I quickly let go of his hand while blushing.

Karan spoke. "Hello my lovely students. I see you managed to take advantage of me and completely changed the plans I had. But most of all I-"

"How did you get in?!", Varun whisper-screamed.

"Varun, slow down. This is my mansion remember? I have the keys. And btw why do you care when I enter my own mansion?"

"Well maybe because we sort of live here and I'd like my privacy?"

"Karan why are you here?" I asked him.

He looked at me and he stood up from his chair and started walking around us. Very slowly. I started feeling uncomfortable and apparently I was not the only one. I looked at Varun and saw that he was constantly moving his leg. Up and down. And up and down. Again and again. It made me crazy!
I gently touched his leg and he regarded me with a questioning gaze. After all I was the one who had pulled my hand out of his a few moments ago. So he was quite surprised when I touched his leg. I carefully gestured him to stop moving his leg. He understood the gesture and stopped.

"Karan why are you here?" I asked again. He stopped and looked at me.

"I heard from a few sources of mine that you weren't following my rules. Hadn't I said that you should sleep like I arranged, because that would help you bond better? Hadn't I said that after a specific time you weren't allowed to go outside? Hadn't I said that you shouldn't draw much attention?" Karan asked furiously.

"The first thing you did mention, the other two you didn't" I spoke calmly. I knew that with being angry with Karan if he was angry as well wouldn't get you anywhere.

"Well now I've mentioned it. Just follow the rules.", he said.

He sat down again, taking another sip of his chocolate milk.

"Even the whole sleeping thing?" Varun said, while he took my hand in his again.

"Well, actually you can forget that rule. It actually doesn't matter whom you're sleeping with as long as you're sleeping comfortably. But the other 2 rules you need to follow. I'm only doing this for your privacy. Cause I don't want people to know who you truly are. It's just to protect you for all those questions and interviews. I'm sure you guys won't mind right?" he laughed.

"It's okay Karan. I get it." I said.

"Yeah me too" Varun quickly said.

"Good. Than now I'll be leaving because it's quite late and I'm sure you need to rest as well" Karan said.

He gave us all a quick hug and told us to give his greeting to the rest. With that being said he left and Varun and I went to our rooms.

Varun's P.O.V
After Karan left we went to our room. Alia would be taking a shower first and then I would.  While Alia was showering I prepared the bed for sleeping. The room was still quite messy as we had left in a haze for the woods. There were still bottles around the floor and I still had to unwrap a few  things out of my suitcase. I was just done with that when I heard someone singing Humsafar.

The voice was clear as water, sweet as honey and beautiful just like the owner of the voice who was none other than Alia. She was hot. I'm not gonna lie. But she is just a friend and she considers me nothing more than that.

I slowly went to the bathroom. It was unlocked so I entered and found her in her bathrobe drying her hair with a towel.

"You sing so well Alia. It's impressive" I said. She looked a bit shy.

"Thanks Varun..."

There was still some kind of tension between us. I guess that's because she pulled my hand away when I only wanted to comfort her. Well at least I tried.

"Uhm Vee you can go shower now."

"Oh uhm Yeah. Right the shower"

What I did forgot to mention is that Alia was looking drop dead gorgeous in her bath robe. Her hair had little water droplets which looked like little diamonds in the light. Her face was so gorgeous with a bit of water on top of it.  Her eyes were the jewels of her face. Her smile was wide. Her cute dimple appeared and a cute giggle escaped her throat.

"Vee, are you gonna shower or just stare at me" she laughed.

I quickly grabbed my towel and murmured something about forgetting a shower.

She laughed at me and turned around, ready to exit the room.

"Alia?", I called out after her.

"Yeah?"

"Will you sing for me after I'm done showering?" To sleep I mean."

She smiled. "Of course Varun. Don't worry."

When I came back I found Alia already under the sheets. She was wearing her shorts and t-shirts. I was wearing my boxers. She was waiting for me to come to sleep.

"That's sweet. You waited for me" I said happily.

She smiled and I shove under the sheets and placed my head on the pillow. God it was so soft!

"Of course Varun. After all you're the one who said that we should sleep at the same time" she laughed.

I smiled too. "Yeah we should. These pillows are really soft! They're amazing!"

"Not for me. My entire head sinks away in it and I can't sleep properly."

"That's too bad Alu" I said.

"Varun.... can I..?" she asked.

"Alia, you don't have to ask that. You know you can do that whenever you want." I said smiling.

She smiled as well. She shifted close to me and I wrapped my arms around her. She then placed her head on my chest and she wrapped her arms around me as well. I smelled something sweet in her hair.

"Varun, you're officially my favourite pillow. Your chest is soft and your abs are hard so that makes the perfect combination."  I laugh.

"Alia.. sometimes you're so weird yaar."

"I know VD. But you are too"

"That's why were friends silly."

Alia looks at me with a weird gaze. It has something nostalgic in it.

"What's wrong Alu?"

"Do you remember when we were shooting for student we did the same..."

"What?"

"When we were shooting for student I would come over at your house. We'd rehearse lines together with Sid who'd always leave earlier. And we would always end up sleeping together because it was too late for me to go home. And then I'd lay my head on your chest and we'd sleep like that."

"Yes Alu. I remember now. Those were fun times"

"Yeah they were."

We were quiet for a moment. Alia was drawing figures on my chest with her finger and I was playing with her hair.

"Alia stop it. You're tickling me!" I laughed. We laughed together. I look down at her. She was still drawing figures on my chest and she looked so cute doing it. She pouted a bit, being very concentrated. Her eyes were focused and she didn't seem to notice that I was staring at her until she looked up.

"What's wrong Varun?" she asked me.
She looked at me with her cute eyes.

"Nothing Alia..."

"Don't lie to me Dhawan. I know exactly when you do."

"Alia it's nothing... Go to sleep.."

"Varun, I can't sleep if you don't tell me what's wrong. Please tell me."

"Alia...."

"Varun..."

"Please go to sleep. It's late."

"Would you please just tell me Varun.."

"Alia...I'm just not ready yet okay.."

"Okay Varun.. I understand. But please sleep now okay?"

"Yes boss."

She laughed and she lay down again.
I studied her. Her angelic face, her brown orbs, the way she was still drawing patterns on my chest.

She caught me looking and smiled. She started singing Humsafar and it immediately relaxed me. I closed my eyes and listened to her voice. It gave me goosebumps and I couldn't only hope she wasn't able to feel it.

When she had finished singing, she gave me a kiss on my forehead and she went to sleep.

That's the last thing  I remember before I fell asleep as well.

Next morning...
Alia's P.O.V
When I woke up the next morning I was pretty sure that I had gotten one of the best sleep I ever had. I always sleep nice when I'm with Varun. And apparently he does too because when I looked up I saw him smiling at me fondly. His hair was messy and he looked so hot!

I..Wait what. Hot? Alia what are you thinking! He is just a friend! Don't think like this, it's very bad!

"Good morning sunshine. Rise and shine! How did you sleep?"

"I slept really good. You?"

"Awesome as well."

"Come on let's get dressed and eat something. I'm starving."

"Yes Alu."

When we came downstairs everybody was eating already and talking happily.

"Look who has decided to wake up! The sleepyheads" Arjun exclaimed.

I yawned. "Can I have my food?"

Pari passed it. Shraddha was talking with Arjun and Parineeti with Sid. Suddenly the doorbell rang.

"I'll go get it" I said. When I opened the door I couldn't believe my eyes!
