Arjun's P.O.V
You know.. people always say that eavesdropping is a bad habit. And that I should try to stop.

But I'm a curious person. I need to know what's going on.

Just as with today. Aditya going into Musk's office and staying there for a very very long time. It was enough to make me suspicious so I tip toed over and quietly listened.

It's not as easy as you think though. You need to have one eye on the doorknob, one eye behind you, one ear listening to whatever is going on inside and one ear listening to whatever is going on outside.

And so I tried to listen to what was going on with my awesome skills.

"I didn't like Arnav. I thought he was too full of himself, that he was just another one of those guys, desperately trying to prove himself. And he was damn good at his work. He was like a magnet for succes. And Karan loved him. He obeyed Karan like a little puppy and didn't do anything wrong. God, I just.. I couldn't stand the guy." Musk said loudly.

"And I was busy with my own project too. I saw that Arnav had wrote a beautiful story."

"Wait.. did you-" Aditya's voice interrupted.

"Remember Karan's Left vs Right? I stole the script Arnav had made and blackmailed Arnav. He couldn't tell. I knew he had an affair and I threatened to tell his wife. I just wanted to have succes as well... It was always Arnav and Arnav but never me. Never did I hear something good about me. Never did I see my name appear in the news for something good. Never did
I got the recognition I deserved. But Left vs Right changed that. Everyone loves a good love story... And finally! Finally, my name was in the news, finally I did something good and I won multiple awards. It was all so good..."

"Go on. He saw right?" Aditya asked.

"But Karan found out. It was too late to change anything, but Karan blackmailed me. He promised to expose every little secret if I didn't cooperate with his plan. He needed a way to take revenge. I would direct it with one of my own sloppy scripts. And I'd destroy their careers for Karan Johar..."

"So.. basically you're a thief who's getting punished." He said.

"It's not like that.."

"Oh you damn sure it is. After all of this is done then-"

"Then I'm gonna hide. Hide from Karan, from all of you guys. I'll take my wife with me and we will start somewhere afresh."

"Do you really think you can escape Karan that easily? He's gonna kill you. He's crazy!" Aditya whispered.

Oh my.. There was a lot to take in.

Did Musk really threaten that Arnav guy? What an idiot!

I slowly walked away from the door and made my way back to set. I needed to tell someone as fast.

I looked around but the only person who wasn't busy was Parineeti. She was looking at the people working and was quiet. I decided to talk to her.

I had to talk to someone.

"Pari! You never guess what just happend?" I said.

"You figured out that you're an ass and came to apologise?" She rolled her eyes and walked away.

"Parineeti wait! I found something out."

"Save it."

I stopped her and pushed her into the nearest room. There the stunt team looked up.

"Uhm sorry.. wrong room." I smiled.

I pushed her into the next room. Luckily this one was empty.

"You do realise that I'm a genius right? I mean, the Arjun Kapoor! The Great One!"

She smiled. "You're awake Arjun. Stop dreaming..."

"I'm awake! And I know why you're angry on me."

She folded her arms across her chest. "Oh so you're finally gonna apologise for all the horrible stuff you've made me gone through?"

"Stuff? What kind of stuff?"

She rolled her eyes. "All the times you misbehaved with me, the time you squeezed me on the bed, the time you put a lot pepper into my food, the time where you went into my room while I was sleeping and refused to let me sleep peacefully, the time when-"

I smiled. "Pari..my Pari...Listen to me."

"No, stop it Arjun! Let me go!" She pulled away and I pushed her back again.

"No please. I've to tell you something. Stay there or else.."

"Or else what?" She narrowed her eyes at me.

"Or else.. Just let me talk okay?!" I let her arm go and she hummed.

"What's up?"

"Ah good girl! Okay so you know that I really like eavesdropping right? Well I did just that."

"Again? On who?"

"Aditya Roy Kapur and John Musk. They were talking about us and-"

"About us?!" She nearly screamed.

"Will you shut up? You're being too loud and I'm trying to tell a story here! Don't interrupt the Great One.  Anyways, they were talking about us. You, me  and the rest."

She nodded and I continued.

"One Night is a project meant to be doomed. With this they want to destroy all of our careers cos we destroyed Karan's career. Apparently Musk is being blackmailed by Karan as Aditya is helping Karan get his revenge. This film, this project, is meant to bring us down. To make us lose our careers in just One Night. That's why the film is called that. Do you get it?"

"Hold on.. So basically Karan is blackmailing Musk to make us do this project? And Aditya is helping Karan? For what?"

"When we're gone, there'll be many more chances for Aditya. He's doing it for money." I explained.

She shook her head and took some time to take it all in.

"We need to tell the others." I said.

"Yeah we need to. But how? It's not like they'll listen to us. We're all fighting. Because of Aditya."

"Exactly. Aditya has made it all seem like small fights while he in reality all put us up against each other. It's his fault that everyone is fighting."

"We're idiots.." Parineeti groaned.

"Uhm correction.. You're an idiot. I'm the Great One." I smiled.

"Idiot. Come let's go." She walked towards the door.

"Parineeti?"

"Yes?"

"Am I really that annoying?" I asked.

She smiled and walked up to me. "Only sometimes. But generally, you're cute." She winked at me and walked away.

Cute? Does that mean she likes me too?

"Parineeti!" I yelled as I ran after her.

And that was another chapter of Bollywood House 2! With this one done, only 5 more to go!
