First snowfall; Queen x reader
*Author's note*
Now this is NOT a part of the Rock Angel series, I will be sure to put a RA if it falls within the Rock Angel series. Don't worry I have like 5-7chap already ready for you guys and you all have already read the one that began it all. Now for this story you can either imagine the cast of BoRhap or the actual members of Queen in the 70's-80's I leave that up to you. There's not really any warning except fluff, snow and maybe minor swearing. Hope you all enjoy it and get ready for all the Rock Angel chapters that I have ready for you guys.

Being on tour with the biggest band in the world does have its perks. You get to travel the world, experience different cultures, meet new people and have thousands and thousands of fans cheering your name and singing your music. Never did I imagine that that would be me along with Queen.
The name's (y/n), I got involved with Queen when they came by a club in Dallas, Texas that was hosting a singing competition and just shortly after I had gone up and sang but didn't win (apparently Aaron says that I'm just too good to be in the singing contest, every year I've signed up), Freddie Mercury himself offered me the chance to be the opening act for the remainder of their tour.
At first I was shocked that Queen themselves wanted a simple girl like me from Texas to sing in front of thousands of people for them, not to mention that while I do love Rock n Roll, my songwriting is more in tune with Country rock and most Yankees or anyone else world wide would be interested. But they persuaded me to join and after my first show, the audience really loved me.
Currently now we were in Glasgow, Scotland after just doing a show. We got back to our hotel rooms and decided to celebrate on another well done concert.
"Alright my darlings, a toast to another great concert. And to the cowgirl with six encores. The voice that never stops our lovely Texan (y/n)!" The boys raised their glasses in agreement all proclaiming cheers of agreement. It's true.
I must be the only opening act to go on for more than 3 songs, apparently people in Scotland really love my music and they kept cheering for me to continue on. I felt bad taking the concert away from the boys but they had me stay on stage to give the audience what they wanted, they even had me come up and sing with them on a few of their songs.
"You guys are too kind, I still feel bad taking the concert away from you all though." I said.
"Darling don't even worry about it. The audience loves you." Freddie stated.
"You were mazing out there tonight love, don't feel sorry about that." Brian said. Deacy and Rog nodded in agreement so I smiled and let it go as we continued the celebration. As the night went on, we all then decided it was time to hit the hay as we had to be at the airport for Paris pretty early in the morning.
As they had once made reservations only for four but now counting me, I had to share a room with one of the boys for the remainder of the 'Night at the Opera tour' now out of the four of them, I've chosen to alternate between Deacy or Brian as they were the quieter and calmer ones of the band.
I love Rog and Freddie but get a few drinks in them—and you won't sleep the night. Plus Rog snores really, really loudly and sometimes Freddie vocalizes in his sleep and you do not wanna see me if someone wakes me up when I'm trying to sleep, please believe that.
So tonight I decided to share a room with Brian since I shared a room with Deacy back in Buenos Aires, give him a bit of a break. I went ahead and used the bathroom first getting my shower done and over with, did my hygiene stuff and changed into my pajamas. Once I was done Brian went on in and did his thing as I got in the bed.
"You know I don't mind taking the couch Bri."
"It wouldn't be right to have you on the couch, it's fine darling I'll be fine, I've slept on worse." I smiled and said.
"If you say so, night Brian."
"Goodnight love." With that I covered myself up and fell right asleep.
The next morning I was the first to wake up. I stretched myself out like a cat (one time when Freddie caught me doing that, he literally called me a little kitten and that nickname's stuck ever since come the mornings). I walked over to the window since that would be the only thing that could wake up Brian was the light of the sun.
But when I went to open the curtains, all I saw was a blanket of white. The entire street was covered in pure white, I have heard about snow and seen it on movies and television but never in my life have I ever actually seen snow in real life.
"Brian! Brian wake up!" I called out. He didn't respond so I went up and shook his shoulders. "Brian!" He shot up and rubbed his eyes and said.
"What is it (y/n)?"
"You've got to look outside." I said bouncing on the soles of my feet. Brian looked up and saw the snow outside. He got up from the couch and went up to the window and he said.
"Well with the snow this bad I doubt the airports will be allowing anyone to leave, I'll check in with the lads and Jim." Brian went up to the hotel phone and did as he said. Meanwhile I was still admiring the beautiful snow.
As it turns out, the airports weren't flying anyone out until either tomorrow or even Friday depending on when the sudden snowstorm passes since no one saw it coming. So the tour had to be put on hold for a couple of days while Queen and (y/n) (l/n) were stranded in Glasgow, Scotland on a snowstorm watch.
"Well the airports are all closed until further notice, so we'll be here for a couple more days." Miami explained to us.
"So what are we to do while we're stuck here?" asked Deacy.
"I don't know about you lot but I'm catching up on my beauty sleep" Roger said.
"What beauty sleep?" Deacy sassed which made Roger reach over and hit him in the arm.
"Children please no fighting" Freddie scolded. While the boys were talking, I just kept staring at the snow in awe tuning out everything around me and letting it all sink in. Man my friends back home would never believe this. "And what's got you so entranced my little kitten?" Freddie asked me. I snapped out of my trance and looked to see him sitting beside me by the window of the hotel lobby.
"Sorry Fred what was it you said?"
"Whatever's going on in that cute head of yours must be so important that you couldn't even hear me. So what's got my little kitten thinking?" I then turned my attention outside. "The snow darling?"
"Well to be honest—yeah. This is the first time I've ever seen real snow....."
"YOU'VE NEVER SEEN SNOW!?!?" Freddie exclaimed in horror.
"I'm from Texas Fred, the last snowfall we ever got was probably over 100 years ago, maybe even never. Snow never comes down the South, south of America cause it's always too hot."
"Oh my poor little darling, every child should experience snow at least once in their lifetime. Gentlemen front and center!" Freddie called out to the guys. Brian, Roger and John soon came up and Freddie announced, "Our precious (y/n) has never had a snow day in her life, and it is our job to give her the best first snow day she'll ever had."
"And why is it our job?" asked Deacy.
"Because you guys are family to me and I'll be sad if I don't get to experience the snow day with my four favorite boys."
"Aww now how can you lot resist this cute face?" Freddie cooed as he cupped my chin to look right at Bri, Rog and Deacy. I gave them my best puppy dog eyes and Freddie did the same as I felt his head lean up against mine.
"Alright we'll do it." Brian said. Fred and I cheered as he grabbed me by the hand and we raced toward the door but Brian stopped us. "Hold it! You can't just take her out while she's still in her pajamas Fred, lets get you back to the room and dressed properly."
"You got it Bri." I said as we both headed back to our room and the boys did the same thing and got ready for our snow day of the tour.
Once we were outside and began walking through the snow, never did I think it could get this deep.
"The best kind of snow is when it's both powdery and sturdy. Strong enough to build snowmen but still soft enough to make snow angels." Freddie started my snow education.
"What I've always enjoyed about snow days was catching snowflakes on your tongue" said Roger as he was starting to catch the falling snowflakes on his tongue. Deacy was also doing the same thing and he said.
"I'll have to agree with Roger on that. Back in primary school my friends and I would try to have competitions to see how many snowflakes one could catch in one minute. Hey, Rog I bet I could beat you."
"In your dreams Deacy." Roger boasted.
"Alright you two." Brian tried to settle them down.
"Yes, this is the perfect place for us to have some real fun." Freddie said.
It was a nice private little section of a park where no one seemed to be out so it was perfect for a bunch of rock stars to have their snow day. "First things first, snow angel time, c'mon darling." Fred took my hand and we raced across the park until we found a good spot. "Okay, now lay all the way down in the snow." He and I both lay down in the snow, my arms and legs lying right there in the cold snow. "Now move your arms like this," he then began waving his arms up and down and I did the same. "Now at the same time, move your legs the same way," I soon moved my legs outwards before bringing them back in.
We kept at it for a few more seconds before Freddie hopped up and extended his hand out to me.
"Alright now give me your hand, let's try not to ruin it," I took his hand and he helped me stand up and as I now stood up, on the ground were two incredible snow angels.
"Wow, they really do look like angels." I said.
"Indeed they do, I especially like that one" he said pointing to mine.
"Wow, I would've thought you'd go for yours."
"Normally I would, but that one was literally made by an angel." He wrapped his arms around me and rocked me from side to side.
"You are so cheesy Fred, how Mary deals with it I'll never know."
"I'm a romantic darling, she approves of every romantic thing I do. And I am a gentleman and I always speak the truth." He gave me a peck on the cheek and it was then Deacy called me over.
"(Y/n) come here, Brian and I will show you how to make the perfect snowman." I went over to them and Deacy said, "First you need to make sure you have a good foundation at the bottom," both Bri and Deacy showed me how to make the bottom of the snowman and together the two of them started rolling snow until it was big enough for the bottom.
Next Deacy and I started on the center piece, we gathered up as much snow as we could and started rolling.
"Now remember for the center, you don't want to make it exactly the same size as the bottom but make it bigger than what you will make the head. Find that happy medium."
"So do you think this is good?" I asked. Deacy observed it and he said.
"Let's go a bit more."
"Okay." We rolled it about 3-4 more times before Deacy said.
"Alright, now always remember when doing the chest, you lift with your knees, not your back. Otherwise you will regret it by tomorrow. Together now love, one, two, three, lift." We both took hold of the chest portion and placed it on top of the bottom half.
"Well done you two, do you think you can do the head by yourself (y/n)?" Brian asked.
"I think I've got the hang of it." I then went on the ground and began gathering snow and started to roll it up to a descent size for our head. "Is this big enough, I wouldn't want him to get a big head like Roger."
"Ha-ha very funny." Roger said as he and Freddie were making their own snowman.
"It's great love, not bring it up on top." Brian said. I picked up the head and placed it on top of the center piece.
"Okay, now what?" I asked.
"Now he needs a face, buttons and arms" said Deacy.
"Why don't you and John go find some rocks and sticks for the face and buttons?" Brian suggested.
"What about the arms? I thought sticks were for the arms?" I asked confused.
"I've got an idea for the arms, just go with Deacy and gather the rest of the stuff." Brian then crouched down on the ground and began working on something while Deacy lead me across the park to find rocks, pebbles and small sticks for our snowman.
When we got enough, we headed on back and by the time we got to our snowman, Deacy and I were amazed at what Brian had done. He had actually made arms for our snowman, he even had him doing the rock and roll sign that our fans do at concerts.
"Wow Brian!" I laughed out joyously.
"What do you think?"
"That's awesome! Oh wow that is so cool!" I praised.
"How did you do that?"
"When I was a kid my mum taught me how to actually make snow arms for snowmen. Thought I'd make our snowman unique." He explained.
"I must say he is unique; can you teach me how to do that?"
"Sure, on the next snowman, now let's see what you all managed to find," Bit by bit our snowman was coming along with black rocks for eyes, a grey rock for a nose, 3 small pebbles for his buttons, and a small twig for the mouth. Deacy then wrapped his scarf around our snowman and we all took in our snowman.
"Well done team, dare I say our snowman is ready to Rock n' Roll." Deacy said as the three of us high fived each other on a job well done.
As I was making yet another snow angel and enjoying the snow falling down on my face softly laughing to myself I heard Roger whisper.
"Oi (y/n), come here!" I looked up to see him hiding what looked like some kind of fort made entirely out of snow. I stood up and walked over to him and I asked.
"What's up Rog?"
"I'm going to show you what my favorite snow day activity is," he then pulled out from behind his back a snowball and tossed it up in the air before catching it in his hand. "You've done water ball fights right?"
"Yep, got the best arm in my whole family too. Been champion three summers in a row at our 4th of July picnics."
"Well I'm gonna teach you the proper tactics of a snowball fight, first this is how you make one," He set his snowball on the ground and showed me the proper way of making a snowball. I then took a crack at it and at first it was a bit hard cause I either made it too fluffy or weak, but after about five more times I finally made the perfect snowball.
After helping Roger build his ammo of snowballs he placed a finger over his lips telling me to be quiet. I tried to keep my giggles in as he went over his fort and threw a snowball right for Brian who was merely minding his own business.
Roger's snowball hit Brian right in the back of the head and as Brian turned around and saw Roger ducking down we heard him claim.
"Oh you've done it now Roger!" After a second or two, a snowball skid across the fort and I let out a laugh.
"Alright, your turn." He handed me a snowball and I waited for an opening before firing at Brian which hit him square in the face. I let out a laugh and ducked before telling Roger.
"Got a face plant of snow."
"Alright that's my girl!" We fist bumped each other when suddenly out of nowhere a snowball hit Roger in the back. He let out an ow and I looked through the trees to see a glimpse of Deacy.
"We've got Deacy the assassin in our line of terrain" I said. Suddenly a snowball was headed for me but I quickly rolled out of the way only to see Freddie not to far from Deacy. "Forts been compromised!" I proclaimed.
"Retreat! Retreat!" Roger proclaimed as we grabbed as much ammo as we could and raced out of the fort. And soon before we knew a full on snowball war broke out.
Everyone getting it a good couple of swings till it was then decided that everyone was for themselves. As I was hiding behind a bunch of trees waiting for Deacy to get in my line of fire, I was unaware that someone was sneaking up behind me, not with a snowball but with a bunch of snow.
As Deacy was just about to be in my line of fire, I got ready and took aim when suddenly something insanely cold came down my back. I let out a scream and tried to get it out of my back when I heard laughter behind me and Roger's voice said.
"That was for the big head comment earlier (l/n)!"
"Taylor you bastard!" I then took a bunch of snow in my arms and took off after him. I chased after him until I finally pounced him to the ground and got my revenge by shoving snow down his back making him holler in shock.
"Damn (y/n) you were on him like a tiger to a deer." Freddie proclaimed.
"Lesson for all of ya'll, never mess with a Texan cause we don't take things lyin down."
I don't know how long it was we were out there for but next thing we knew it was getting dark. So we all decided to call it a day and head back to the hotel for some hot cocoa.
Once we got back to the hotel, we were now out of our wet clothes and into our second warmest set of clothes, I was wearing a sweatshirt and another pair of jeans as I was trying to get warmed up by the fire.
Deacy handed me my cup of hot cocoa and I thanked him softly as I blew on it and took a sip of it. I hummed in satisfaction, hearing the tales of some of my friends who used to live up north talk about hot chocolate or cocoa after a long snow day and those stories don't do it justice.
"Good?" he asked.
"Very good." I said.
"This comes another one of my favorite snow day traditions, my mum making hot cocoa after we'd come in from playing all day in the snow, cozying up by the fireplace. It was heavenly." Roger said.
"Thanks guys, this has been the best day in my entire life. And thanks for making my first snow day a memorable one." I said as I looked at all of them.
"Anything for you my little kitten." Freddie said as he sat down beside me and put his arm around my shoulder bringing me in a one armed hug. The rest of the night consisted of us sitting by the fireplace and exchanging stories of life back home during our childhood, and all I kept thinking was this.
Thank god for the snowstorm. Without it I'd never would've got to have this much fun with the guys, nor would know this much about them compared to what I already knew about them now.
I really hope we get snowed in again throughout the rest of the tour up until the holidays.
