Chapter Ten
Due to Wooyoung staying up pretty late, he ended up sleeping in when morning came. This time, no San had been around. Actually.. When he woke up the house was strangely quiet. That was sort of suspicious. Sitting up, he'd rub his eyes before checking the time. Seeing it was half past eleven in the morning, he let out a huff but honestly didn't regret it.
He got out of his bed, stretching. San's bed was left abandoned, him not even bothering to make it when he got up. He left, heading for the kitchen and rather than attempting to fix himself food, he ended up just grabbing the box of cereal and some milk from the fridge. Making himself a bowl, he grabbed a spoon from the drawer before going into the living room. Sitting on the couch he let out a breath.
He was only a few bites in when his phone vibrated. He checked it, and about dropping his breakfast seeing his father called him. Setting the bowl down before its contents could be spilled; which would drive Seonghwa insane. He had also come to learn from San's brief explanations of his friends that Seoghwa was a bit of a neat freak. He liked having everything cleaned and in order, or else he would complain.
"Dad?" He spoke as he answered.
"Wooyoung! How's my son?" He could almost grimace.
"I'm fine. Why are you calling me?"
"Can't I just see how my son is?"
Wooyoung went silent, which his father had taken that to just move on. "I had a talk with one of my guys. He actually has a daughter around your age." Wooyoung didn't like where this was going. "And I was thinking when I return to have you meet her. If things turn well I was thinking of the two of you getting married."
....
WHAT?
"Marriage?!" He sprang up from the couch. "Dad I-"
"She's a lovely lady. I know you and her would get along well. I'm sorry Wooyoung but I can't talk long. But I thought you would like to know about her. I'll send you a photo of her, I'll talk to you soon!"
He hung up after that, not letting Wooyoung have a chance to talk about his opinion on the matter. Marriage? What the hell was his dad thinking?! He felt his phone vibrate against his ear, probably his father sending him the photo he spoke about but he didn't dare move his phone away. He couldn't... No. He was too young to get married, or so he thought. He lost his appetite by then, which sucked but he couldn't force himself to eat. He tossed his cereal away and turned to his phone that was left abandoned on the counter as he was washing his dishes. Sighing he took it and unlocked it.
He saw San texted him about an hour prior, while he was asleep.
'We all decided to try out surfing. Didn't want to wake you, join us when you get your lazy ass out of bed! :)'
San even sent him a photo of himself sitting by his board. Yeosang was next to him, under an umbrella he brought with him outside, which well he could see him under when he'd turn to the window of the kitchen. San was in the water by then, Wooyoung had smiled a little watching the older get wiped out by a wave.
But remembering the conversation he just had made him instantly wipe his smile off his face. What the fuck was he going to do? He looked at the picture. He wouldn't lie. She was a pretty person and definitely seemed nice.. But he knew he wouldn't have a happy life in a marriage that wasn't wanted; no matter how nice she was. He dropped his arm, letting out a loud groan.
What a way to ruin his whole vacation.. Now what?

"Dude you really ate shit on that one!" San glared at Mingi as he was stepping to shore. He decided to take a break after he had nearly drowned.
...
Okay he wouldn't have drowned per say, where he had fallen in when he stood up the water was about chest height. "Oh? So you're some professional surfer now?" He spat back to the younger, plopping down on his towel after he had set his board down. That seemed to shut Mingi up.
Before anything else could be said, he felt a light kick to his lower back. Turning his head he saw it was Wooyoung. "Hey, about time." He grinned and looked at his attire, growing confused seeing that he wasn't wearing any swim trunks. "You not going to swim or something?" He asked, Wooyoung only shaking his head. "Not really in a surfing mood at the moment. But it was too boring to stay inside." San could tell something felt off about Wooyoung. But he didn't want to force him to say anything so rather than that he let out a little laugh. "Then I guess you can be Mingi and I's judge." Seeing the nod Wooyoung gave him he got back up.
"Alright beanstalk. Let's see who's the better surfer. Loser does the dishes for the rest of our trip!"
~
Needless to say, although both were bad, Wooyoung whispered with Yeosang before making a decision and well, San lost.
As they walked back into the house after spending pretty much all day outside, soaked with salt water Mingi had been boasting about his victory. "You know you weren't the greatest surfer either. I saw the way you nearly wiped out at the one wave you were on. If you had fallen San would have probably won." Mingi let out a grunt, before marching up the stairs to take a shower.
"Once we're all showered we should decide on dinner." Seonghwa had called out, towel over his head as he refused to sit on the couch. He didn't get it all set and icky. "Agreed." Hongjoong added in, leaning against Hwa. "But what should we have?" He looked up to Seonghwa when asking that, the older having shrugged his shoulders.
"Don't ask Yeosang, we'll know what he'd answer with." San commented, a scoff coming from said man before he'd go up the stairs too, Jongho following in tow.
"What do you want Wooyoung?" San looked to the younger, seeing him really think on it. "Well I'm not really in the mood for anything in particular.. But what about pizza? Can even get wings for Yeosang if he really wants it." He was clearly joking which made everyone around them burst into small laughter. But now was the real question: Toppings.
Wooyoung suggested pepperoni, San wasn't picky, but he mentioned no vegetables, which made him smile hearing Wooyoung giggle next to him. Mingi suggested sausage, Yunho agreed with Mingi. Seonghwa wanted ham, but when Hongjoong would go to say what he'd like his phone went off. He looked at the caller ID, face scrunched up. "It's work. I should probably take this." He looked to Seonghwa. "Just get whatever. I've never been picky." He hurried off into another room, leaving the oldest to frown and slump his shoulders.
"He promised he wouldn't focus on work while we were here.." Seoghwa commented, rubbing his face. But he didn't go after Hongjoong. Instead, he decided to get a pizza for each member with the toppings they wanted, even adding the wings like Wooyoung suggested to make everyone happy.
Once the orders were made, Seonghwa went upstairs to shower. There were about three showers in the house. Two upstairs and one downstairs. San and Mingi of course raced to the bathroom to see who could get to the last available one, leaving Wooyoung and Yunho. "They're like kids." Wooyoung commented, Yunho agreeing. "It's a nice change, I don't really think I've seen San this happy in a while."
"Really?" Yunho nodded. "And I think it's because of you. Before coming here he'd always talk about you, saying how bad he felt for you about how you were pretty much always kept under watch, and wanted to take you out to do so many things that would be new to you."
Now that. That made his heart do flips. San really wanted to do that just for him? A blush dusted over his cheeks, clearing his throat he saw Mingi come in, pouting that San beat him to the bathroom. Yunho came over to him, patting his shoulder. "It's okay, when the next bathroom is available you can take it. I can wait." That made Mingi happy, so he went into the living room and even though he had known Seonghwa wouldn't be happy with him he sat on the couch anyway.
And he wasn't. When he got out of the shower, he scolded Mingi. "The couch is gonna smell like ocean water!" Mingi would only grin as he was smacked off the couch. "I don't know if you remember Hwa but we're on the beach." Mingi had to run upstairs because he was now being chased.
But soon San came out of his own quick shower and Yunho took the opportunity to run in before Hongjoong could take it. But knowing him he was probably still on the phone. "Missed me?" San teased Wooyoung, coming up to him fully dressed and a towel around his neck. "Eh." Wooyoung reached and pushed San's bangs back since they were covering his eyes. With them now alone he figured he might as well say something.
"Hey Woo.. are you okay? I don't know. Earlier when you came outside you seemed a bit off. I didn't want to say anything in case you wouldn't want to talk about it but I just want you to know. If something is bothering you, you can come to me okay?"
He could see the tension on Wooyoung's shoulders release, and was given a smile. "I'm okay. Just some shit my dad had told me earlier. It's nothing but I do appreciate it San." Without warning, Wooyoung had come up to him and wrapped his arms around his shoulders. Being quick, he wrapped his own arms around Wooyoung's waist, and even let his chin rest on top of his head. He even rubbed his back, San letting out a breath himself and shut his eyes.

When everyone was showered and dressed, and food had been delivered they all sat at the table to eat before all dispersing up to their rooms for the night. Wooyoung was sitting on his bed, San laying in his own. Next door he knew Seonghwa and Hongjoong were next door because Wooyoung could hear their voices. Seonghwa was pretty upset with Hongjoong because as he said before he promised that during their time here he wouldn't get engulfed in work, yet when their food came Seonghwa had to hang up his phone for him just so he could eat.
For a while, they were arguing, Wooyoung tried to ignore it, and went to lay down as things went silent. Maybe they resolved their fight? Or went to bed angry at each other-
There was moaning.
Wooyoung's eyes went wide.
There was also faint creeks coming from their bed. Oh no. By then he knew that they were having sex and he was NOT going to lay in bed and listen to it all. Pushing the covers off of him he quickly left the room, and went downstairs and went onto the back patio, shutting the glass door behind himself. Letting out a long sigh, he sat in one of the cushioned chairs. Pulling his legs to himself he wrapped his arms around him. Things were quiet now, him only hearing the water in front of him and he himself calmed down.
"Couldn't sleep?" He jumped hearing San's voice. Whipping his head around, San was standing by the doorway. When did he open the door? He didn't hear it. He nodded. "Why are you awake?"
San went to sit in the chair next to Wooyoung after closing the door. "Well it's kind of hard to sleep when two people are loudly moaning next door. Seriously, it's like they forgot we're the only ones in the house." He was complaining and Wooyoung's face went red. "Yeah... I heard it too. So that's why I came out here." He told San before he'd turn his gaze to the beach again, growing silent. San himself was quiet. Not a word was spoken to each other but it wasn't awkward. Actually it was calming. San was calming.
"San?"
The older turned to Wooyoung, humming. "Can I try something? It's something I've never done before." He admitted, even getting a little nervous himself over what he was going to do. San, oblivious to Wooyoung's nerves gave a smile and nodded. "That's the whole reason we're here right? So you can try new things." Giving a little laugh he rubbed the back of his head. He needed to see something. See if he would really be happy in an arranged marriage.
Taking in a breath, he moved his legs and turned his body so that it would be facing San. He motioned San over and he did so. Once he was close enough Wooyoung did the one thing without hesitation.
He kissed San.
