Chapter Seven

Seemed like the last few weeks, whenever San would come to Wooyoung's place early in the morning so that he could be taken to school, up on the second floor he could see his boss staring at him at a window, glaring at him so hard he swore that his eyes were melting into him. It was almost driving him crazy. Finally nearing their lunch time, at this point it was almost a tradition for them to go out and eat rather than stay and eat, in his opinion, yucky school food.

"I'm shocked that my dad hasn't murdered you yet." Wooyoung had explained while he was leaning back in the passenger seat. During the weeks they spent together Wooyoung was obviously comfortable around the male these days. "If I'm being honest here," San started while stopping at a red light and took the opportunity to look at Wooyoung, a playful grin on his lips as he spoke, "I'm surprised as well. Every time I pick you up and bring you home he's staring at me from his office as if to make sure I'm not doing anything or have any plans on kidnapping you." Snorting, San turned back to the road.

"It's whatever. He'll probably stop anyway at some point. Hey, how about we go to the park and eat." Hearing the suggestion it made his grin turn to a smile. "Sure, sounds nice. I think I got a blanket in my trunk we can sit on." Continuing their drive, once they got their food San drove them to the park. "So, with summer break starting next week what's going to happen?" He questioned San.

"Seems ever since the beach your dad's always home whenever I get you, so I don't have to be around you. When summer comes around we won't get to spend any time together." He couldn't look but he could see from the corner of his eye the frown that etched onto Wooyoung's face and quite jones he was a br upset over the idea too. He really started to like spending his time with Wooyoung. Although still a brat at times he knew when to be nice and sweet, San always found himself just listening to Wooyoung's rambling, not even caring about what topic he was going on about.

And then when he'd drive home after dropping Wooyoung off he'd miss him, at some point he even had the idea of sneaking to Wooyoung's room but decided against it, knowing Wooyoung's father would probably blow his head off for attempting to break in.

"Unless you start coming to the office with your dad." Added San while pulling up into the park and after his car was parked, he got out to get to his trunk, leaving the drinks and food to Wooyoung.

"I could." Wooyoung said, shrugging while he got out of the car, San opening his trunk and grinned. He pulled out the large blanket and shut the trunk. "Buttttt I really don't like being there, it's filled with big tough guys that look like they want to rip my head off." San almost laughed at that. "Well between you and me, most of them kind of do, because some of us aren't really fond of your dad." Shrugging, he led Wooyoung towards a hill where they could sit and eat at, spreading out the blanket he plopped down, taking the bag of food from Wooyoung so he could sit down too, setting the drinks down too.

"No offense to your dad, but he sort of treats us like shit."

"Oh, I figured he would, so none taken." Wooyoung popped a fry into his mouth while shrugging. They both had been left in silence, stuffing their faces with food while having small talk, some about classes and some about the possible plans during the summer. "If I can get the chance I'd love to take you to an amusement park." San good Wooyoung who was in the middle of biting his burger. In response to that Wooyoung gasped, setting his burger down and turned to San.

"Oh my god please!" He begged, grabbing San's arm and shaking it, loud laughter coming from the oldest. "We gotta go! I've always wanted to go to one! Please please pleaseeeee!" San's whole body was practically shaking at that point so he stopped Wooyoung by using his free hand and grabbed his shoulder. "Calm down, holy hell." He teased, pulling his arm away. "We just gotta sneak away from your dad or some shit, but I'll make it happen. I promise."

The smile that San was given gave him butterflies. Something that never really happened before and before he could protest Wooyoung threw himself onto San into a hug. "You're the best!" He yelled, San laughing out But made no attempt to to push Wooyoung away. Actually he ended up falling onto his back, pulling Wooyoung on top of him and wrapping his arms around the smaller, just to hold him and for a moment enjoy the peace between them two. His gaze went up to the sky, not a cloud in sight. It was a perfect sunny day. He held Wooyoung like that for the longest time before letting him go, Wooyoung sitting up and he sat up as well so that they could both finish up their meals and head back to school for the remainder of the day.

Wooyoung wasn't sure why being held by San for so long got his heart fluttering. Whatever that was, he just ignored it. The remainder of his classes went as per usual and was soon brought back home. Unsurprisingly his father was watching them both, but soon he had disappeared from the window. This made him shrug. He started waving to San but stopped hearing the front door opening, his father coming out. "San." He called, Wooyoung immediately watching as San got out of the car, expression unreadable as he stepped up to Wooyoung's father, a feeling of uneasiness in his own chest as he stepped back from the two.

"Yes, Mr. Jung?" San had spoken up, body tensed as he was waiting for what he wanted of him. "In a few weeks, I'll be going away to talk to some important people.. So I will need you to make sure my son stays safe while I am gone, you are able to do that yes?"

Wooyoung felt a feeling of excitement overflowing him, having to contain himself. His father will be gone? He'll be alone?! "Of course. How long will you be gone for?" San questioned, having to content his own excitement knowing this could have been his first chance at being able to do things with Wooyoung and watching him experience new things.

"I will be gone a few weeks, depending on how well my trip will go. I expect you to be on your best behavior and make sure my son remains as safe as possible."

"Understood."

"Good." That seemed to have been all, so his father had turned and went back inside, Wooyoung turning to San and catching his gaze, San now smiling. "Wow, what a coincidence, we talk about wanting to do stuff for the summer and suddenly he's going away? It's almost too good to be true."

"Shh!" Wooyoung questioned him, puffing out his cheeks. "Don't jinx it, he might change his mind!" He crossed his arms over his chest and it made San laugh. "Right right. This could probably be our chance at finally being able to get away." Nodding, Wooyoung couldn't help but smile. "Let's talk about it over text okay? I don't want my dad getting suspicious with me being out here for so long." San nodded, saying his goodbyes before getting into his car and leaving. Wooyoung ran in, not even giving his dad a second glance and was hurrying up to his room, excited over what to come next the following few weeks.

He tossed his bag onto the floor and plopped onto his bed, waiting on that text from San which was received once San got back to his place.

'Hey, I have an idea with your dad being gone.'

An idea? Wooyoung was immediately interested so he texted back quickly asking what it was.

'Let's turn it into a vacation.'

Wooyoung's eyes widened at the idea. A vacation? He's always wanted to go on one!

'I know you love the beach.....'

Wooyoung giggled at the text, but he definitely wasn't wrong.

'But how about I see if I can get my friends together, and we can all rent a beach house, one by a pier! They usually have amusement parks on those.'

Wooyoung was absolutely loving the idea already, texting San he was up for it.

'Sweet! I'll get a hold of my friends now:)'

Wooyoung didn't reply after that. He was left a smiling mess on his bed as he set his phone to the side. A vacation at the beach... with his dad planning on leaving it was almost too perfect, especially if he was going to be spending it with San! Oh he couldn't wait until then.
