Chapter Nineteen

He hated that he couldn't talk to Wooyoung, even through Seonghwa's phone it was best that they not contact each other to keep Wooyoung's father from suspecting anything. It made him worried for Wooyoung even though San knew that he wouldn't be hurt with his father around watching. He was just a clingy baby for his boyfriend and wanted him in his arms again. Hell the night before they would go to Wooyoung's home he decided he'd stay over at Seonghwa's and Hongjoong's, his stuff already there along with his pet he told Seonghwa his worries over a drink.

He was assured that things would be fine, but that still didn't ease his nerves, it got to where he was up pretty early next morning, anxious to get to Wooyoung. He was even up before Seonghwa and that on its own was a bit of a shocker. He was sitting on the kitchen counter, a cup of coffee in his hands while he was watching Seonghwa cook breakfast. "Hey, once we get Wooyoung back let's invite the others over too, I know Wooyoung misses being around them even if our stay at the beach was only a few days." He knew Seonghwa was smiling at the idea even though he couldn't see it. "That's a nice idea actually, we have plenty of rooms for them. I wish you guys stayed though. On our last day Mingi finally got the courage to tell Yunho how he felt. It was cute because he quite literally yelled out his confession."

San let out a little gasp, feigning hurt though he wasn't all that surprised he wasn't told this since Mingi was probably busy with work. "The nerve of him! Mingi's my best friend, yet he didn't tell me?" San even gave a fake pout, the oldest laughing while setting the eggs to the side so they wouldn't burn, a very tired looking Hongjoong slowly trudging in the kitchen, wearing what he assumed was one of Seonghwa's shirts because it looked nearly too big on him. They all shared breakfast together, San joking around with the two but really he was freaking out inside over the idea of anything possibly going wrong later that day.

It wasn't until later on that day did San started to feel a bit more calm. Nothing could happen, right? It would be, technically four against one so it would be an easy victory. He glanced to his lap, seeing the weapon that he was borrowing from Hongjoong. He's held weapons before but he ever really shot a gun in his life. The car was parked once San pointed which house Wooyoung was in he followed the two older men out and followed up to the front door. Hongjoong, earlier smiling now face grown dark as he grew serious, kept a tight hold on his own weapon, similar with Seonghwa as he stood behind his boyfriend. Nothing was said, all three men, San was given one single nod before Hongjoong took action.

Again, he may have been the shortest in his friend group but that didn't mean shit. Actually he was probably one of the most scariest among them all, he knew when it was time for business and time to have fun. He used his foot, one kick, two, three. The fourth was what caused the lock to cave and the door swung open. He expected to see Wooyoung's father in the living room but- Nothing... Weird. But he didn't let his guard down. Rather that he ran upstairs the other two stayed in the living room. He first was going to go to Wooyoung's room but he stopped himself as he rushed past the door leading to his father's office. Having an inkling that he must have been in there working, he rushed up to the door, body practically ramming into it and causing it to swing open.

He was right. On the opposite end behind the large desk was Wooyoung's father. But he didn't seem shocked nor surprised to see San standing there, gun aimed in his direction. Actually he looked more angry if anything. "I knew you would try to come back for my son." He said as he stood up. He would have walked around his desk but San kept his finger hovering over the gun's trigger, ready to press it when it was needed. "Where's Wooyoung?" San demanded, facial expression going dark. "Oh I sent him off to get something for me. Actually I believe he'll be back any second. Too bad you'll be dead by then."

Before he could even question what he meant by that, gunshots were heard downstairs, and a cry. It was Seonghwa's, and then a yell from Hongjoong. "Huh-" San had turned his head for just a split second, but he felt his body being shoved back as he was knocked down by the older. Because he was knocked down by surprise he ended up dropping his weapon, hearing it skid before it hit the wall. San fought, and he knew the man on top of him was having a bit of a difficult time keeping him pinned but that wasn't long because he felt a force connect to his face. He was punched, and it left him stunned for a moment, long enough for him to be turned to his stomach, and his arms pulled behind him.

Left useless on the ground he felt the man above him get off of him, grabbing the gun that he had dropped not long before and was pulled by his arms, being forced on his feet and was being pushed to go downstairs. When his vision cleared a bit after recovering from the punch, the sight in front of him made him growl.

Guess while San was busy upstairs, Seonghwa and Hongjoong were attacked, Seonghwa on the floor with a small pool of his own blood forming around him, next to him was Hongjoong, tied up like himself fighting against his restraints. Two guys, most likely working for Wooyoug's father, stood around Hongjoong and Seonghwa, and the realization quickly settled in as he was shoved towards the direction of his friends, falling onto his knees his head snapped around to look behind himself. God he wanted to wipe that smirk off his face. "How?!" San barked out, he himself fought in his own restraints before he was kicked in the back, forced back onto his stomach.

"How did you find out?!" San was demanding, but instead of a proper rely, he felt something heavy on the side of his head, Wooyoung's father's voice above him. He must have put his foot on top of his head because San couldn't move to look at him anymore.

"Honestly San you really do underestimate me when it comes to work, you really thought I wouldn't know you would eventually come to take my son away? Not only that but you thought you could hurt me?" He was laughing and San wiggled under him, yelling out multiple curses but was silenced when he heard a voice.

"San!"

Wooyoung himself didn't know when San would come, he was never specific when he called him, so when he came into his home after doing some things for his father, which he was surprised he allowed him to go out without him, considering the last few days he was breathing down his neck, he came in to see his father standing on San, who was tied up on the ground next to his two friends, one in which was unconscious and injured.

"San!" Wooyoung cried out. He wanted to run to him, push his father off of San and call him crazy, but the gun that he pointed to San's head after moving his foot left him completely frozen on the spot. "I wouldn't." Wooyoung was warned so he stayed put, but his eyes welled up with tears.

"Let them go!" Wooyoung cried out, slamming the door behind himself hisneyes went over to Seonghwa. He noticed how pale the older seemed, and with the amount of blood surrounding him, he must have lost a lot of it. "No, this is for your own good Wooyoung." He was replied with, and with a wave of his father's hand, Wooyoung was quickly pulled back and held down by his arms, keeping him firmly in place as he thrashed around. But these guys that were keeping him held down were much stronger than he ever was, there was no chance he could break away from their grasp.

"What do you know what's good for me? You're hurting the people I love!" Wooyoung was crying at this point, the tears falling down his face, the look on his face almost sadistic as he looked down to San. "You love? More like pests to me, ever since you've met San you changed into someone I don't even know anymore. But once they're out of the way I promise things can go back to how they used to be." Rather than replying, Wooyoung let out a cry, attempting to fight against the hold he was in once more.

It wasn't until a gunshot was heard. At first, Wooyoung thought it was from his father but no, he felt the hold to his left arm be released, and he quickly looked over and saw the man had collapsed, he looked around quick, seeing that Seonghwa's eyes were open, although hands shaky he had his gun aimed in Wooyoung's direction. "Seonghwa!" He could hear Hongjoong yell, knowing he must have been relieved to see that Seonghwa wasn't unconscious anymore. Wooyoung took this as an advantage, since the man to his right was shocked Seonghwa was still alive at this point.

He brought his foot up and quickly brought it down to stomp on the stranger's foot, and when his arm was released, he elbowed him in the face to disorient him. Being released, he jumped back when seeing his father attempt to lunge at him, to get Wooyoung down before anything could happen and ran to Seonghwa's side. He took the gun front Seonghwa and even though he never held one in his life pointed it at his father. Hebwas shaking, terrified right down to the bone as he stood before him, watching the way he raised his hands up in defense. "Wooyoung now, don't do anything you might regret-"

"Don't come any fucking closer!" Wooyoung's voice strained as he yelled as he took notice his dad attempted to take a step over to him. With how Wooyoung responded he remained in his spot, hands still up in the air, even stopping the male that had been previously holding Wooyoung from charging over. "Drop your gun!" Was Wooyoung's bext demand, and not wanting to upset Wooyoung even more, he watched as he released the gun, hearing it fall to the ground. "Now kick it to me!" He waited until the weapon was kicked in his direction before he'd made any other moves. Slowly, Wooyoung was taking small steps in front of the two's direction. The pistol he had in his grasp shook from how tight he was holding onto it but that didn't stop him. "Now what's going to happen next," Wooyoung spoke more calmly, "Is you two are going to fuck off upstairs. And then I'm going to untie my friends and boyfriend and we're going to leave." He told the two.

"And then I'm not going to ever see or hear from you ever again, do you understand?" His voice shook but he made sure to let them know he was serious, his eyes flickering to his father and then the stranger, both looking to each other, giving a single nod to one another. The stranger went up first, and he watched his father slowly start his way over, but before he was out of his sight, Wooyoung heard him speak. "I've never been so disappointed in you, if your mother was here now she would be too."

He didn't say anything. When they were alone, Wooyoung sighed out, he dropped the pistol, first rushing to Hongjoong and untied him so he could help Seonghwa, who by then was unconscious again. He ran to San, untying him as well and as soon as he felt arms wrap around him tightly he cracked. He broke down in his lover's arms while he was gently shushing him and that it was okay, but they couldn't talk long because they had to hurry. He was pulled by San out of the house and to the car, he took the driver's seat and Wooyoung in the passenger, meanwhile Hongjoong took the backseat with Seonghwa to care for him as San sped them to the nearest hospital. Wooyoung kept to himself, but he could see in the rearview mirror Hongjoong was trying hard to keep himself together for Seonghwa's sake. It wasn't until when they got to the hospital, and he was put onto a stretcher to be wheeled into emergency surgery that he broke, sitting in one of the waiting room chairs, he had his head in his hands, choked sobs escaping his throat.

He wanted to comfort Hongjoong but he was still shaken over the events that just happened. He wasn't crying anymore at least, but he was quiet, not even talking to San who had a hand rubbing the brunette's back to comfort him the best he could, while his other hand took Wooyoung's and squeezed it to comfort him as well. But Wooyoung didn't react, he looked to their hands, before squeezing his eyes shut. He could only hope that Seonghwa would come out of surgery okay, and that from now on, things would be okay.

They were soon accompanied by Mingi and Yunho, who were called by San once things were settling down, and then Yeosang and Jongho came shortly after. They all were worried for their friend, and Wooyoung was worried too, but he knew they all must have been worried the most, since he was aware that the other seven knew each other for the longest time. They each attempted to reassure Hongjoong that Seonghwa would be okay, meanwhile he sat in his seat curled up in himself, left in his thoughts until San came and sat next to him. "Are you okay?" He heard San say, an arm slipping around Wooyoung's shoulder, and slowly his head fell on San's shoulder, a long sigh coming from him.

"I'm not sure. One of our friends is in surgery and we aren't sure if he'll be completely okay, and for the first time in my life I held a gun to my dad. Yeah he was a piece of shit to us especially with what's been happening recently, but still, the idea that he almost killed you before I did anything really freaks me the fuck out." Wooyoung started expressing his thoughts to San, the male just nodding and listening to him the whole time and before he'd speak, Wooyoung's head was tilted up and lips were pressed to his own. God, he missed kissing him. It was a short kiss and he was soon pulling away, San smiling at him.

"Seonghwa is a fighter, you don't have to worry about him, okay? I know he's going to be fine. And as for you, he really didn't give you much of an option. But I'm so proud of you for finally facing him and doing something. If it weren't for you, he probably would have killed me there." The thought made Wooyoung's mouth go dry so letting out a breath, he nodded, and shut his eyes. "What are we going to do now? I doubt he's going to back down." Wooyoung muttered, and he was answered with a shrug. "Honestly? I don't know." San said, his arm rubbing up and down his side. "All I care about at the moment is that you're back in my arms, I couldn't be more happy with that. And once Seonghwa is out of surgery and recovering, if he even attempts anything to us, you know we'll be ready." Wooyoung had relaxed slowly at his words, reaching to his side where San's hand was and pulled it away, pulling from him entirely and held his hand tightly and for once that day, smiled at him.
