Chapter Five

Wow, when San had said that the drive would take a while he wasn't kidding. A good portion of the drive the two were left in silence, the radio being the only thing that was heard in the car but on occasions San and Wooyoung made small talk. But getting closer and closer, as they drive down the road the younger of the two had glanced to San's side.

Seeing the ocean.. wow. He was mesmerized. "Whoa!" He yelled or of excitement, even pointing towards the water as if San could just simply look over but the older couldn't fight back his smile, and couldn't help but lightly coo over how adorable Wooyoung was being right now. "Excited?" Asked San, catching Wooyoung in the corner of his eye quickly nodding. It was like a child. He loved it.

As the car finally pulled up into a parking space, Wooyoung had already started scrambling to get out of the car, making a break for the water. "Wooyoung wait-!" He could hear San But he simply ignored him. He booked it to the water, hurrying in. God. This was so fun! He let out loud excited yells, not even caring if he was getting any weird looks. The water felt great! He took a glance over to San who was walking away from the car, a bunch of their stuff in his arms. "Oh- oops." Letting out a nervous laugh Wooyoung hurried back out the water and to San so he could at least help.

"Sorry. I just got really excited all of a sudden." Woo apologized, taking their bag of clothes and snacks when finding a nice spot he set it down and watched San spread out their towels, San sitting down and Wooyoung sitting next to him on his own. "It's okay. It was kind of amusing. It was like watching a kid." San teased, making Wooyoung roll his eyes. "But really, before you go back out there at least put on some sunscreen to keep from getting burnt- Or at least not get a bad burn. Shit sucks." Nodding, Wooyoung reaches for the bag and pulled out the barely used bottle. He made sure to cover most of his body but when it came to his back he blinked.

"Uh- San?" San perked up hearing his name. "Could you uh- Put some on my back?" Wooyoung had asked and when given a nod he handed the bottle to San. Turning around, he laid on his stomach and contently hummed as San started rubbing all around his back to cover it with sunscreen.

"There." Wooyoung's eyes had gone wide when he felt a hard smack to his ass, immediately shooting up from his towel. "San!"

"Now you're ready for today!" Wooyoung could growl at San, frowning. "While you're up can you get my back too?" Gearing San aka this he immediately came up with an idea. "Sure San~" Sitting back down next to the older he watched as he turned to lay on his own stomach. Like what San did for him he rubbed the sunscreen all around his back to make sure it was evenly coated.

"There," Lifting up his own hand he brought it back down onto San's ass to smack it. Hearing the yell that came from him Wooyoung let out a devilish laugh before getting on his feet and making a break back towards the water, leaving San on his towel.

San had shaken his head, having to bite back his laugh before he could cover the rest of his body and afterwards got up so that he could go and join Wooyoung in the water. Stopping at around chest height, he took in a deep breath, shutting his eyes before he had submerged himself in the water. Surfacing back up, he wiped his face and pushed back his hair before opening his eyes.

He took a glance around noticing Wooyoung wasn't nearby. Or he assumed.

"Boo!" He heard loudly behind him. Jumping he turned around, ready to fight only to see that it was just Wooyoung. Puffing out his cheeks, he groaned when the younger bursted out into fits of laughter.

"San!" Wooyoung almost fell back into the water but kept himself up. "You should have seen your face! Oh my god!" Rolling his eyes, San sunk into the water, blowing bubbles into it. "Yeah yeah you got me. Ha ha." The sarcasm practically dropped from his tongue but still smiled anyway, not being able to help but adore Wooyoung. The smile on his face seemed so genuine like he was actually having fun.

"Wanna go with me over to the deeper end of the water?" Wooyoung had finally calmed down from his laughing and looked to San. "I'd go myself but we'll- um-" He rubbed the back of his head, now seeming a little embarrassed. "I don't really know how to swim so I'm afraid I'll drown if I go on my own." Hearing Wooyoung admit to being afraid of drowning, San laughed. Patting his head, he gave Wooyoung an encouraging smile. "Sure!" He turned around. "Hop on." He could tell Wooyoung was hesitant, glancing over his shoulder to look at him. "You sure? I'm not exactly light."

"Just trust me!" San exclaimed and at the comment, Wooyoung grabbed onto San's shoulder, chest pressing to his back and hopped up, legs wrapping around his waist and clung onto him. San, as if Wooyoung were air, he started to swim more towards the deep water. He could tell Wooyoung was a bit nervous from the way he started to grow tense behind him, so to reassure him one of his hands reached down, and patted his leg, even looking back behind him with a smile. Getting to the point where he had to kick his feet to keep them both afloat, he spoke. "See? I told you things would be fine." He had said, and grew happy to feel Wooyoung relax behind him.

"Are you having fun?" San questioned and received a small 'mhmm!' from Wooyoung. Just then, he saw a wave coming so San had an idea. "Take in a deep breath and close your eyes, hurry!" Quickly Wooyoung did as He was good and San too in a breath himself. When the wave was close enough he dived into the water, swimming under the wave and when they both resurfaced he could hear Wooyoung's excited yells coming from behind him. "Holy shit! That was so cool!" He would exclaim, making San smile. "You think so? I'm glad." He said.

"You wanna try swimming on your own?" He asked, and confidently Wooyoung nodded, making San nod in return before he would slowly pull Wooyoung around so now he was clinging to him from the front. "Okay. You basically just have to keep kickin your legs and wave your arms in the water to stay floating, just what I'm doing okay? Don't worry about whether you'll drown or not. I'll be here for you ." This made Wooyoung smile and nod. Feeling Wooyoung pull away, San had kept his hands on Wooyoung's waist just in case, watching the younger start kicking out his legs.

"There you go!" San grinned before slowly starting to pull his hands back, swimming away a bit. "Look at you~ Swimming on your own~" Wooyoung did blush a little, feeling like a child but he was still excited over swimming on his own, even giggling which made San laugh along with him. "You wanna be bold and swim back to shore on your own?"

Wooyoung didn't even respond to him, he started moving his arms and legs, swimming back which made San shake his head but quickly follow Wooyoung. Once he was able to walk, he hurried to the younger who was already running back to their towel and plopped down, San sitting next to him. "Well?" Wooyoung took a moment before he spoke.

"That was awesome. It felt so nice. I wish I could just stay here forever so I can do whatever." San had laid on his towel so he could dry some, nodding.

"I wish we could. But sadly we gotta leave somewhere in the afternoon if we want to get you home before dark. I'm sure your dad already figured out you aren't in class." He could tell Wooyoung was probably frowning at that point, he didn't even need to look over but heard the sigh that came from him, Wooyoung soon laying down next to him.

"Probably. He's probably already blowing up my phone. I turned it off so I can just focus on today." San had went to turn to his side, facing Wooyoung. "Probably. If he gets pissed at you just blame me for everything okay?" Wooyoung was quick to shake his head. "No, I'm not doing that." He protested. "He'll probably fire you." Shrugging he laid back on his back and shut his eyes. "I'll just tell him I needed an off day, okay? And that I forced you to take me here." He heard Wooyoung. "Mm okay, but don't blame me when you're on house arrest." He heard Wooyoung softly laugh which made San grin.

"For now let's just focus on what's happening at this moment, okay?" He opened his eyes and turned to Wooyoung, who glanced back and nodded.

"Okay."
