<at the dinner table>

"[____], your dad was telling us you're going to attend UA High, is that so?" Mitsuki suddenly asked in the middle of a different conversation the adults were having regarding their high school memories while waiting for the food to be ready.

She was just sitting there, awkwardly sipping on water while feeling Katsuki's random glares from across the table. They were both listening to their dads reminisce about the "good ol' days".

"I have to say, I really am so glad that your family moved back to Japan. Even though I haven't had the pleasure to meet your mother yet, it makes me feel pumped up to know Masaru is back in town and his sweet little girl will be attending the same school our child is, again! Maybe you can teach him some manners."

'Katsuki may look just like his mother, but their personalities are completely different....' [____] thought for a split second.

"That's right, she has a spot in the hero course and with her amazing quirk, I bet she can save a lot of people if she perfects it! Her mother and I are really proud of her!"

Her father always liked to boast about her in front of everyone. She didn't have a problem with it usually, it was just embarrassing when a boy her age was sitting right there, hearing all of it. "My little girl makes Papa so proud every day!"

"Dad...It's not that big of a deal.." She tried gulping down the embarrassment with some water.

"Katsuki is also in the hero course and we are also proud of him. Except...his attitude towards his peers is what concerns us..." His mom was pretending to shed a tear. "But we're trying our best, you know? Haha..."

"Hey, don't talk about me as if I'm some sort of failure!" The boy hissed in response. "People in class just like to hold me back, that's all!"

"The curry is smelling great, my love." His father on the other hand, tried to change topics before things would get out of hand.

"—And anyway, what does her stupid quick got that's so 'amazing' about it? She just dodges attacks! She's useless!" Katsuki slammed the table as he stood up, which caused the adults to stop speaking for a while.

"Hey!" [____] did the same out of anger. "What's your deal?! You don't know anything about me or my quirk!"

"Katsuki, sit down." His mom demanded in a calm, but hostile manner.

"Y-You too, sweetheart, take a seat. I'm sure this is just some sort of misunderstanding..." her dad laughed a little, but the truth was that he was also beginning to get upset. He wasn't going to let a young boy's comments ruin his reunion with his friends, though.

"I'm sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Bakugo...I'm not feeling my best right now, I would like to excuse myself to catch my breath." [____] caught herself before she could spit out some insults of their son in front of them.

"Of course..." The boy's parents understood her need to be alone for a while but her dad, on the other hand...

"Sweetie, do you want Papa to tag along and buy you some ice cream?!"

"No!!"

💥🌸💥🌸💥

While [____] was away, Katsuki's mother smacked him right on the head. "Idiot!"

"Huh?! Why did you do that for?!"

"That is NO way of speaking when we have guests over, and insulting girls?! That is not how we raised you, Katsuki! Go to your room!"

"WHAT?! Are you serious?!."

"You wanna see how serious I am?!"

He almost growled in response, but didn't defy. As soon as he slammed the door to his room shut and his parents could hear it, Mitsuki bowed her head to her husband's long time friend.

"Please forgive my son he's a little shithead. That is why he won't be joining us for dinner tonight, unfortunately. He's going to pray that he gets a plate at all thanks to his behavior."

Masaru nodded to his wife's words to agree. "Manato, boys will be boys. But Katsuki is—"

"No no, it's alright. There's no need for these types of formalities. You know?" [____]'s dad laughed it off but only because he felt uncomfortable being in that kind of situation with his best friend. "Boys these days are very outspoken, aren't they? I can't relate, I live with women, only! Haha!"

"R-Right..."

"Ahh, women sure are the kindest!"

🌸💥🌸💥🌸

"That jerk! Stupid dumb porcupine-haired piece of trash, jerk! Who does he think he is?! He doesn't know me! He doesn't know anything about me! So why am I feeling so worked up whenever he opens his mouth?" It's not like [____] talks to herself on a regular basis. The poor girl was just having a hard time dealing with the hot level of annoyance this guy was making her feel.

Specifically because she thought this particular guy was handsome.

"Snap out of it, [____]!" She slapped her cheeks together once to remind herself of his shitty personality. Hard enough to make it hurt, she instantly regretted that action. "Damn it! It's all his fault!"

"Do you usually talk to yourself like a dumbass?" Katsuki's voice startled her, and she looked up at his window.

With one hand under his chin for support, he smirked. "Or are you just a special kind of idiot that thinks it's normal?"

"Will you just leave me alone!?"

"We still haven't finished our chat from earlier."

"Yeah? Well, I don't feel like talking to you right now." She massaged her cheeks to get over the pain and then they both locked eyes for a few seconds.

After a while of silence, she realized how awkward it must look since he still hadn't reply to her.

"So what are you doing right now? Waiting for me to talk to you, instead?" He smiled again.

She quickly walked back inside the home, when she decided that it would be best to ignore him from that moment on.

💥🌸💥🌸💥

Katsuki's mother prepared the spiciest curry [____] has ever eaten. She didn't even think there was any recipe that called for so many peppers to be used in one dish.

She was doing a good job at hiding how spicy the food was, she kept drinking her water throughout the whole time and would take regular breaks to cool off the burning sensation inside her mouth.

Her father, however, was almost in tears while he forced himself to catch up to his best friend's plate. "It's so good, I stopped feeling two of my senses a while ago!!"

'Pretty sure that's not normal...' [____] thought about how Katsuki's parents could consume this food without any issues. 'Maybe they are used to it..?'

"Ah, forgive me, I forget that our guests can't really handle this level of spice..." Mitsuki almost blushed as she said this. "I tend to go a little overboard because that's just how my family likes it...Maybe we should of ordered take out...?"

"No!! This is the best curry I ever tasted! I'm almost catching up to Masa-chan!!" [____]'s father was sweating as he declared this. "I can't feel my legs anymore but it's all good!!"

'Can't feel his legs?!'

Mitsuki giggled, "Oh, Manato, you always had a competitive strike about you...But my husband has been eating my food for years now and he's basically indestructible to my cooking."

Her red eyes shined with pride as she asked. "Honey...do you want seconds?"

'Seconds?!' [____] looked at her plate, she wasn't even half done!

She then, looked at her father's plate, he had only eaten half of what she had.... 'Why is he in tears if he hasn't even finished half?'

"Yes, my love, I'll want seconds. Thirds if Manato can't take the heat!!" Katsuki's dad laughed it off.

While the men turned it into some sort of contest, [____] watched as Mitsuki prepared two plates and brought just one of them back to the table while she held on to the other. "Well I guess it's about time I take this to Katsuki, I may be angry with him but as a mother, I shouldn't let my only son starve."

"I—!" [____] suddenly volunteered. "If you don't mind, Mrs. Bakugo, I'd like to take the food to him, instead..."

[an: sorry about the mistakes I was holding on to my daughter as I wrote this lol. She's sick and nobody wants to help me take care of her when she's like this cus she's a little clingy and I have to call off work ;~;

It's Comic-Con today I'm thinking about going for a stroll to distract her but seriously I hate calling off work lol I wish I could just shoot a text instead of actually talking on the phone it would be easier..]
