It took a little over an hour for the train to stop at the Ueno station and from there on, it was just a short five minute walk to get to the entrance of the zoo.

"You could of just used your damn quirk to get us here faster, you know. I fucking hate wasting time..." Bakugo was complaining practically the entire way.

[____] stared at the bulletin board near the ticket booth to see if there was any sort of couples discounts for her to utilize.

She wasn't looking to save any money, but she had read some reviews online stating that sometimes the zoo would hand you matching merchandise as a perk to these bundles, and even take your photo with their friendly panda bear mascot for keepsakes.

"Yeah, but isn't it more genuine to do this the old fashioned way?" [____] clicked her tongue after figuring out that there were no special couple treatments around this time of the year.

"Screw your old fashion ways, we're not 50! We have apps on our phones— We could of got here sooner and for free if you'd just teleport us. Make yourself more useful, fat cheeks."

"I'm gonna pretend like your words didn't hurt my feelings, and go buy our tickets now...Just wait!! Because this is gonna he the greatest day of your life, Katsuki! If you see anything you'd like to get from here, make sure to tell me. I'll buy it for you, okay?"

Bakugo didn't say a thing and watched [____] line up at the little kiosk. He could tell she was probably feeling anxious since she kept pushing herself up by standing on her tip-toes a few times as she waited for her turn to pay.

'Best day of my life? She can't be serious.'

After she purchased the passes and they both gained entrance to the zoo, Bakugo stopped in front of the directory poster. "Alright... Where r'we headed?"

[____] was too busy gawking at the pair of tickets to answer him. "How cute! They each have a picture of an animal on the back of them! It's like a memento; so let's keep them! I call dibs on the koala one— Katsuki, you can get the bear since you're just as scary."

"You're trying to pick a fight with me on our first date, fat cheeks?!"

She finally looked up to see the usual angry face he wore whenever he hung around anybody for more than two minutes. "Not at all, I didn't mean anythi—Wait...'first'? Does that mean we'll have more dates in the future?!"

He started swearing in his head for letting that comment slip out of his mouth. "Are you stupid?? If you like me as much as you say you do and keep pestering me about it; I'll have no choice but to go along with your pathetic plans."

'Is he acting as if he's 'allowing' me to like him...? He has a huge ego...but it's not like I hate that about him, what I hate the most actually is that he doesn't say sweet words to me.... I shouldn't be expecting much, though...We're not even a couple...'

"Katsuki...There's something I want to get off my chest and the reason why I haven't said anything until now it's because I just found out about this last night and I haven't fully wrapped this situation around my head, yet—"

"You talk too much. Get to the fucking point."

[____] pouted at his attitude. "Can you stop...being so mean to me. Even if it's just for today, please?"

He smirked at her request. "Ah?!.......Maybe, if I get something good out of it."

'Something good..?' [____] wondered what he would want in exchange for his kindness. "What do you have in mind...?"

"A kiss."

"Kiss?!"

"You want this date to go your way no matter what...Right? Then how about every single time that I'm nice to you, you'll owe me one kiss."

'Like a service, type of thing...? I don't know what to call it, it's not even considered a punishment since I want to give him thousands of kisses, already...'

It was apparent that [____] didn't think much about it; she agreed without letting him finish explaining the terms and conditions of his desideratum. "Alright! Let's do it!"

"Hold on, fat cheeks. I'm not done speaking." He knew she was going to like his scheme, so he added on a few rules to it. "It has to be whenever I demand it and you cannot refuse, no matter the time or the place that we're in. Got that?"

[____] began to question the settlement but her doubt only lasted a second. 'Now it's just starting to sound like a trick...But I really don't see anything wrong with this...Katsuki gets to be nice today and I get to kiss him some more?! Where can I sign up?!'

"Okay...I'll owe you one kiss, for every time that you're thoughtful and kind towards me. So can I continue with what I was going to say?"

"Go on." At that point, Bakugo didn't care much for her talking, all he had to do was bite his tongue a couple of times throughout the day so he could get the rewards he had been craving for a while.

[____] cleared her throat but then noticed an animal keeper walking past them guiding a baby goat back into the petting zoo area. "Katsuki—!!! Look at it! It's so cute!!"

"Do you have a short attention span or something?!" He turned around to glance at the small animal. "It looks like a weird dog..."

"Let's go feed the animals! If we follow that man, we'll get there quick since people are making a pathway for them!!"

"The fucking petting zoo— Is that really where you wanna go?! Isn't that place just for little kids?"

"Hey! Be nice!" [____] reminded him of their pact. "It'll be fun, so come on!"

"It's official. This date is shit."

Even though he promised he wouldn't be rude, Katsuki had to say it at least once so that [____] would take a hint about where he wanted to go, instead.

She ignored him. "It's just getting started...Look, there's food dispensers over there! Katsuki, do you wanna feed the goats, the rabbits or the chickens?!"

"I wanna get the fuck out of here."

"Okay, the chickens it is!"

She placed some yen coins into the gumball machine that was filled with dried mealworms and she allowed the eatables to fall into the palms of her hands; some of it even spilled since it was too much for her to hold onto.

"Hey, why didn't you just use one of those..?" Bakugo pointed with his eyes at the stand next to the machines that had a hand written note and some reusable bowls; 'Please, feel free to use a container!' The note read.

"I was too excited, I didn't even notice that..." [____] was a little ashamed to say it.

Katsuki went out of his way to grab a bowl and held it in front of her. "Pour it in here."

"Thanks...Will you try feeding them with me?"

"Still no way; but I'll stop complaining if it makes you feel a little better. So you can go on ahead, I'll watch from here."

Speaking to her without yelling or cursing was already making her act with more certainty of what she wanted to do. "That's no fun...We should do it together! I'll try it out over there where that big crowd of chickens are! You're gonna see how much fun it looks that you'll want to join."

"Sure, whatever." He crossed his arms and leaned against a tree.

Five or six minutes have gone by, [____] still couldn't get a single hen or a rooster to eat out of her hand, in fact most of them scattered away from her. "How are the little kids doing a better job than me at this?! Am I just too big, so they're afraid of me...?"

[____] sulked about it until Katsuki raised his voice behind her. "Ahh?! What the fuck do you want, stupid birds?!"

She looked back and noticed he had a group of yellow baby chicks surrounding his feet and pecking at his shoes. "Katsuki, they like you!"

"Get these little fuckers off me, fat cheeks!!" He was already mad; but tried not to turn the birds into fried chicken due to their agreement. "Do something before I kill them!"

"Baby chicks, hi!" [____] slowly made her way to them, she hoped she wouldn't scare any away as she squatted down near them with her legs shut closed.

She grabbed a few mealworms from the bowl and offered them in her hand. A few of the animals took the bait. "Katsuki; they're eating! Look! They're eating off my hands, awwwwe!"

"Why are you so damn content about it? They smell like crap."

"That's because they were probably strolling around the goat poo, searching for food. But still, they're super cute. They're so small and fluffy....."

"So they actually lathered themselves in shit before getting all over my shoes?!"

"This is already the best day of my life!!" She paid no attention to that detail as two little chicks hopped on her hands. "Their claws are a little sharp, so it feels weird...but they're adorable so I'll put up with this!"

Bakugo also crouched to her level to look closely at the stubby birds. 'I guess they aren't so bad...If they're making her this happy.'

"Katsuki, do you want to hold one?" She offered by stretching one of the chicks that was cupped in her hand right in front of his face. It's smelly feathers touched the tip of his nose.

In an instant, he stood up and dusted his body off a few times to show how disgusted he felt about it. "Fuck no! Get that raw food away from me!"

"How rude, don't call them food! They're just wittle babies—" [____] had no problem cuddling the tiny animals close to her face and rubbing its soft feathers next to her cheeks.

"Nasty....Let's go see the lions, already. I'm bored of this place."

"Okay! Let me just go pet the rabbits real quick and then we can leave."

"Hurry up."

"Did you wash your hands and your face in there?" Bakugo asked [____] after she left the women's restrooms to freshen up. He was waiting for her across the public rooms, standing next to an empty bench.

"Of course I did. Im hungry so I was hoping we could eat before looking for the lions' caged den and also...I'm not a little kid, you don't have to ask me questions like that out loud."

"I'm only asking so we could hold hands, dumbass."

"Seriously?!" A huge smile spread across [____]'s face as soon as he said that.

Katsuki was about to take his overture back; he was restraining so many insults for the sake of kissing her again. "....Yeah...But we can do that, later."

"Can we do it right now, instead? It would mean so much to me if I didn't have to wait that long."

He looked away so she wouldn't see the light blush on his cheeks. "Alright; but then that's 30 kisses that you'll owe me since you're turning it into a bigger deal than it is."

"30 is fine with me!" [____] couldn't wait so she wrapped her fingers and thumb around the edges of Katsuki's left hand. The only problem was that she used her left hand as well. "Um, something's not right..."

"For fuck's sake, you can't even do a simple task correctly! Tell me, how are we supposed to walk if you're holding on to me like this?! Do I have to do everything, myself?!" He bursted out but then covered his mouth with his right hand to stop himself from saying anymore.

"Sorry...I'm a little nervous."

"You don't have to apologize for everything all the damn time..." Bakugo knew that [____] wasn't perfect; she cried a lot and she was also very dull minded.

Normally; anybody with those qualities would antagonize him. Although, he found beauty in her sincerity. He was also physically attracted to her, but that was just an added advantage to help them further their relationship, later.

"Sorry." She didn't mean to bother him. "It's just that...There's been something, or rather someone; that I keep thinking about and it's making me act uneasy...."

"Who's bugging you?! Let's kill them!" Although Katsuki knew who was interfering with her emotions, he still wanted to hear [____] say it.

He had found the letters that Toru Hagakure had written to him since the start of their school year. He only read one or two out of the small pile of envelopes, just to get the gist of what she was trying to tell him. He concluded that he didn't care about her feelings.

"N-No! Let's not do that..!" [____] dismissed his suggestion in a flash. "Rather...Can we, maybe, talk about it some other time? I changed my mind and I feel like we should enjoy our date without any distractions..."

"You gotta learn to not let any extras get in your way, fat cheeks. Stand up for yourself and for what you believe in, once in a while."

His unforeseen advice made [____] perk up. "B-But what if I end up hurting that person..? Shouldn't I be more considerate to people, given that I'm trying to become a hero?"

"You should put yourself first before thinking about others!! Otherwise what kind of selfless hero will you be?! Are you also gonna feel bad for the villains who will want to hurt you?!"

"Katsuki..."

He gritted his teeth while speaking. "You're not a pro, anyway, you just started this course...It's okay for you to be selfish every now and then, for your own damn sake..."

'He has a point...How am I going to give it my best if I keep feeling guilty about being interested in the same guy as Toru...I don't even know her that well, for starters. I know she's been sitting next to him and admiring him way longer than I had, but I like him too! I can't just put that truth aside so she could have a fair chance!'

[____] opened her mouth to finally tell him who was bullying her; but she spotted a little boy running around with a huge stuffed gorilla toy, and it made her gasp. "Katsuki—! The gorillas are over there! Let's go see them!"

"So, then, you ARE an elderly person for real!! How are you just letting go of this conversation so easily because you want to see some mammals?!"

She stuck her tongue and winked playfully at her crush. "I want us to have a great time, so...Whatever I have to tell you, all of that can wait! Trust me!"

The high parts of his cheekbones developed a red tinge as he followed after her. "Alright."

The two of them stood in front of the safety glass to view the gorilla habitat. There wasn't many people around, since most of the kids got bored of looking at the animals in a calm state and they urged their parents to get them out of there.

A middle-aged couple, that was also standing a few feet away from the high schoolers, pulled out their cell phones to take pictures in front of the habitat. "Darling, lets use the monkey filter! It'll be funny."

[____] took a peek at the happy looking couple from the corner of her eyes. 'Hopefully one day, we'll be as close and silly together, like those two are...'

Katsuki knew what she was thinking of the moment he noticed she had a dreamy look plastered all over her face.

So he decided to mock her, "You wanna take a picture? Don't worry, you won't need the monkey filter since you already look like one."

"You're mean!" [____] came back to reality and lightly pushed him away. "You're the one who belongs in there, with the rest of the gorillas!"

"No, you." He pointed at one of the animals inside, who was in the middle of scratching it's own ass. "You're that one, over there."

"Oh, yeah? Then you're this one!" [____] intended to find the biggest one to point at it, but instead she showed him the one who just finished taking a crap and held it in his face to sniff it.

"AH?! YOU WANNA FUCKING FIGHT ME, FAT CHEEKS?!"

"You're the one who started it! I—!"

Bakugo used less than half of his force to squish her cheeks together using the palm of his hands. She couldn't get away but she tried pulling on his spiky hair to make him stop.

Due to their sudden fighting, the middle aged couple became frightened and they left them alone near the enclosure to go find a security guard.

"You better be glad I'm not roasting your face off right now!!"

"Katsuki— Let go!" [____] grunted.

"I'll let go when you apologize to me!"

"I don't...Mind apologizing!! But you...have to do it first!!"

"I'm not doing shit!" Bakugo chuckled at how cute she looked, struggling hard enough to try to scratch him. "Hey, don't touch my face with your smelly hands! Fuck you!"

[____] wheezed at his insult. "Katsuki, you too!! Fuck you, too!"

The first time she cursed at him, he felt his chest tightened as if that was a good thing. 'What the hell? How was that cute?!'

He proceeded to release her so he could turn around and regain his composure. "I'm letting you off with a warning, since I wanna find some place to eat, already."

[____] gently massaged her face to make the pain go away. "Well, I'm taking back those 30 kisses because you were very rude, just now..."

"Whatever, you'll owe me more than 30 kisses by the end of this date." He proclaimed.
