Let's get this story started shall we. This story will not follow the anime or manga. It will, however, follow the same chain of events as Kiss or Die (my bakugo fanfic) so you're welcome to check it out :3

Main character's eye/hair color does not matter since I don't use them to define her in this story so you may picture her as whatever you'd like.

While [____] was in middle school, her mother was killed in a fire started by a villain. Ever since then she's been caring for her little brother, Kantaro, and they rent a small studio that a kind old lady allowed them to stay in. She works two part time jobs and is doing everything she can to keep the two of them safe and away from her father. She is quirkless, but doesn't mind it since she does not believe in heroes and would never want to be one, anyway. Because of the way her mother died, [____] is afraid of fires and is always on a lookout to prevent them around her household.

Asahi was half European on her father's side. One night, when she was only a few months old, her mom gained the courage to escape from her abusive husband's home and moved to her hometown in Japan, changed Mia's surname along with her own and she never got a chance to know about her dad. She met [____]'s father, Rai, while working as a waitress and married him when she turned 21. The same year, [____] was born. She died from a fire that a villain had created inside her work place when she was only 34 years old. [____] was 13, Kantaro was 3. Mia was hardworking, and her quirk allowed her to speak many different languages fluently which made her a great waitress/hostess around the tourist areas. She loved her job and her husband, despite him having gambling problems. But what she loved the most were her kids, [____] and Kantaro only have good memories of her.

Before his wife's death, Rai was already irresponsible and would leave his family for weeks, sometimes months, to focus on his gambling addiction. Rai would steal money from Mia many times, promising to return with more than he took but that would never happen. Mia had to overwork herself to make up for the lost payments. Rai and [____] never had a good relationship, he ignored his kids for the most part but he seemed more interested in Kantaro after his quirk began to manifest. He would often try to buy his affection with toys, but would hit him if he ever found the boy to be annoying. Because of this, [____] decides to leave him behind after Mia's death. He didn't know his family vanished until months later, now he seeks revenge on the villain who killed his only source of income, and as well as his kids for not telling him the truth.

Kantaro is a very outgoing six year old despite being quiet at first sight. He doesn't resent his father, unlike [____]. He listens to his sister and stays locked in their studio instead of going outside, attending school or playing with other kids, he has a lot of free time so he enjoys messing around with his quirk, which results in him pulling little pranks on [____] when she comes back from work or school. Kantaro watches a lot of TV and knows about current events and heroes. His favorite super hero is All Might, he even owns five different onesies.
