She still doesn't forgive herself for it and even after Megami was born, she couldn't stop thinking about it and she refused to let Megami be alone for her first few months. Like, even when they slept. Meg was there because she was really paranoid of her getting kidnapped or getting hurt and her not being there to stop it.

Shinya's biggest heartbreak? Same as Ryuko's. She blamed herself and he felt horrible for not being there for her. Like, they both felt horrible for so long. They didn't tell anyone for the longest time and Ryuko hardly left their house for anything.
