~ Who did you guess? ~
"Hello, Izuku Midoriya~."
Looking at his desk, Izuku saw a pink-haired girl that wore custom-made goggles on her head. He was speechless, especially since the girl wore a tank top that let her assets be shown off while her baggy jumpsuit was tied around her waist, only hiding her legs.
"Who are you and how did you know about this place?" He asked immediately, putting a hand on his taser just in case.
Standing up the girl calmly walked over to Izuku, showing she was just the tiniest bit shorter than him. "The name is Mei Hatsume," she said cheerily as Izuku kept on guard. "It was pretty easy to find this place since I was watching you ever since you fought those big bad bullies." She was teasing him at this point, making Izuku pull out his taser to stop her in place.
"So you're stalking me?" He asked as he gave a warning shock, startling the girl. "You have ten seconds to explain why I shouldn't hurt you." He threatened, taking a step toward Mei.
"I can help you build stuff!" She exclaimed, stumbling back nervously but Izuku didn't even budge. "Okay! I hacked into your transcripts and thought we could help each other get into UA!"
Sighing, the boy lowered his taser and looked at the girl that was literally shaking in her boots. Looking around the workshop, he noticed his computer was on and opened to his mask designs, so he walked over to it with Mei following him and looking over his shoulder.
"I don't trust you, but if we're actually going to help each other, don't invade my privacy and I won't have to hurt you." He threatened as she nodded and sat down in his chair once again.
With a few hours before sundown, Izuku let Mei explore his workshop while he went searching for more parts to repair his mask. And by the end of the day, he got Mei to leave his stuff alone while replacing the lens on his mask. But of course, Mei made an adjustment to his mask for an air filter, which he actually thought would be useful, making her happy.
A couple of days later, Izuku had dealt with Mei on his weekend, which was harder than expected since she kept making designs and made two prototypes that failed. But when he stopped working in his workshop, he walked home tiredly while admiring the view of a city ravaged by careless heroes and destructive villains.
Again, he arrived at his apartment to see the lights on through the windows. Curious as to who could be inside, he unlocked the door quietly before entering quietly and leaving his shoes at the door. But it seems that he wasn't that quiet as whoever was inside, dropped something to the floor.
"What took you so long, Izuku~?" Sang out Inko Midoriya also known as the Telepathic Hero: Lure. Without hesitation, Inko hugged Izuku for a few seconds, holding him tightly as she was afraid of losing her only son.
Once she let go, Izuku could see that she was in her hero costume. She didn't wear one of the more provocative costumes as she wore a skintight leather catsuit colored a dark green to match her hair. But she also had a utility belt with a gun holster (For extreme emergencies) and smaller, non-lethal gadgets used for capture.
At the same time, Inko got a look of Izuku after a year since they've been apart. Not the best parent, but at least she visited.
Anyway, Izuku was of a short stature matching his mother as they were almost the same height, but his hairstyle was much like his father's except for the dark green color. As for clothing, he was wearing a black unzipped jacket over a dark green muscle shirt, showing his muscular physique from a lifetime of martial arts training. Other than that, he had a pair of red hightops on and a pair of blue jeans.
"You've grown a bit, now you're as tall as me," Inko teased as Izuku laughed at the compliment. "But let's sit down, we need to have a long talk."
Silently agreeing, Izuku sat down on the couch next to his mother. Though he knew what Inko wanted to talk about, he was still nervous since she did carry a gun and could pull someone toward her with her Quirk.
"I'm proud of you," she said, surprising the young teen. "Your Quirk may not have developed, but you're still more of a hero than anyone else."
Smiling, he looked at his mother who smiled back at him. "Thanks, Kaa-san." He mumbled as she patted his back.
But then she moved her hand onto his shoulder and started applying pressure, making him squirm under her grip. "But you still put yourself in danger," she threatened in a sickeningly sweet tone. "So, you're showing me where you got that mask and that taser."
Once she let go, Izuku stood up and dropped his taser on the table before going to get his mask from his bag. Giving both to Inko, she studied their make-shift yet durable quality, though the taser was mass produced product.
Putting both on the table, she looked at Izuku who stood there waiting for a response. "The mask could be used for more and the taser could be much higher quality. You're stuck to close-range combat and you'd still have to be careful with three different styles under your belt and almost ten years of training in martial arts." She listed, becoming much more serious by going from mother-mode to hero-mode.
"Yeah, I was working on an AI for the mask, but a power source is my main concern." Mumbled Izuku as Inko's ears perked up.
"So you were the one who made this, huh?" She asked tossing him both of the items, botu of which he barely caught. "Mind showing me where you got the parts and built this?"
"N-No," he said nervously as Inko got up and walked to the door. Izuku got all of his stuff before running out of the apartment to lead the heroine to his workshop.
After a rather short walk, the two were at the Dagobah Municipal Beach, directly across from the abandoned warehouse Izuku inhabited. Looking at the beach, Inko was somewhat disappointed due to how trashed it got over the years but was more curious about Izuku's workshop. Well, it seems he inherited his curiosity from Inko too.
Once they were in the workshop, Izuku turned on the lights to see his desk untouched since the morning and his lounge area, along with a pile of spare parts that Mei collected over the past few days. Looking around, Inko was impressed with the simple setup and explored around before smelling an oddly sweet aroma.
"Why does it smell like perfume?" She mumbled before glancing at Izuku as he searched through the pile of parts. "I'll have to check in here just in case," she mumbled before Izuku came over to the desk and set down a few parts.
Looking over the parts, Inko saw a respirator that would cover someone's lower jaw along with a paintball mask in decent condition and a bunch of miscellaneous parts scattered around them. Opening his computer, Izuku quickly looked through the designs that were in his small network. Eventually, he pulled up a few mask designs and renamed them for easier searching, but closed all of them until he only had the latest design.
The latest design was sleeker and connected the lenses together, with a minor design for a small battery allocated into the side of the mask. It was originally just the old design equipped with the battery, but Mei went into it and made it look better, she even made a note that Inko stopped Izuku from closing.
Reading the note, Inko ruffled Izuku's hair. "Aww, is my little boy dating a girl?" she teased once again and decided to push a few buttons. "Is she cute? Have you gone on any dates, yet? Oh, does she know about your little secrets?"
"Kaa-san!" Izuku exclaimed, pushing his mother away as he closed the note and sat in his chair. "We're not dating. She hacked into my transcripts and wanted help getting into UA's support department. So... I thought I'd milk the situation until UA's exam."
"You're just as manipulative as your father, you know that?" Inko sighed as she looked over the design and Izuku started to sort through the parts he would need. "But I could probably get some money to upgrade your tech and make this place more suitable for a hero."
Freezing in place, Izuku took a few seconds to realize what Inko just offered, but he turned around slowly and looked at her in disbelief. In return, she simply smiled and laughed at his expression.
"R-Really?"
"Of course."
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Izuku exclaimed as he hugged the woman.

"What's up, guys and gals? Today you'll be taking the UA entrance exam!" Announced Present Mic as his audience of test takers was dead silent. "Eh, tough crowd... Well, you'll be destroying robots for villain points based on the difficulty of each robot."
As he continued to talk, Izuku Midoriya recorded everything on his phone while he took every note possible that would help him. From the little details that Present Mic gave them to the abilities of each robot.
"Now, how about Y'all get ready to go get some points? Don't worry, we'll get your total points tallied up and tell you if you get in later, alright?" Present Mic asked as students started filing out of the auditorium.
Packing up his own stuff, Izuku kept replaying words within his head as he left. 'Villain points and total points... there are different kinds of points. One of the smartest people... well, animals... organized this. They'd word the speech carefully to weed out the competition even more.'
Figuring out the simple gist of the exam, Izuku hurried to the locker rooms and grabbed his brand new utility belt filled with very few gadgets that he knew would work, but he also put on his newest mask though it wasn't much different from his last one except for some upgraded tech.
Leaving the locker room, Izuku grabbed an extra taser gun that he slipped onto the side of his belt. But he followed a map he was given and ended up at a mock city dubbed 'Field Beta'.
Looking around the entrance, Izuku could see his competitors that varied extremely from their outfits focused on exercising rather than fighting, among other differences. Ignoring them, Izuku focused on himself and calming his nerves while he waited for the first hint of a start.
"Start!" Present Mic said suddenly, taking everyone by surprise, even the few who were waiting for it. "What are you waiting for? There's no countdown in a real fight!"
Then, everyone started running into the mock city and ran down the first street they could see, only a few of them branching off into other streets. As for the green-haired aspiring hero, he ran off toward a street and tapped the side of his face, turning on his mask's interface.
"Pina, can you use a GPS to give me a map of this area?" Izuku asked no one in particular as he took out his stun guns.
"Yes. I've gotten a layout of the city for you, Izu." Sounded a young feminine voice that would belong to a little girl. "I'll try to locate the robots for you, please get close to one so I can analyze their signal patterns."
Nodding, Izuku kept running until he found a robot. This robot was in the middle of the street and searching for a target, but it was only worth one point. Taking the chance anyway, Izuku lowered the voltage on his stun gun in his right hand before aiming it at the robot. Once the robot stayed still, Izuku shot the two darts of the taser at the robot, shocking it for a split second while Izuku ran toward it, keeping the darts locked onto it.
Once he got close, his AI assistant, Pina, started her analysis and found a similar signal appearing throughout the mock city before applying it to the GPS map she used. With a map of some of the robots, Izuku turned up the voltage of his taser gun and short-circuited the robot.
"Thank you, Pina. But make sure you keep tracking those signals, otherwise, you can wait for further instruction." Ordered Izuku as he reeled in the darts of his gun and started running toward the next robot.
And through the next few minutes, Izuku tracked down a few more one-pointers and even got the signal patterns of the other types of bots, the two-pointers, and the three-pointers. Though it was stressing Pina a lot to track down the signals of so many robots, her processor was becoming less stressed as the seconds passed by and there were fewer signals to track.
When nearly all the signals were gone, the ground shook as Pina detected a much larger signal. But Izuku didn't need the signal to see the giant shadow cast over him, so he turned around to see the leg of a giant robot. Slowly looking up, he saw a giant robot towering above the mock skyscrapers and looking down upon all of the students.
Looking around, frozen in place, Izuku saw everyone else running and someone crying for help on the ground. That one person was a brunette girl with her leg stuck under some rubble. Succumbing to his instincts, Izuku ran toward the danger and went straight toward the trapped girl.
"Pina, how long would it be for you to restart if I used an EMP?" Izuku asked frantically as he kept running.
"Approximately five to ten minutes to restart, but only the protection and respiration provided by the mask would remain." She answered as Izuku got to the pile of rubble that the girl was trapped under.
Digging through the rubble, Izuku could only get the smaller pieces of rubble out of the way before he turned around and pulled out a small circular device from his belt. "Pina, five seconds!" Izuku exclaimed as he threw the device into the air and toward the giant robot.
After five seconds, the device released an EMP, making the robot start leaning forward. Right toward them.
Fumbling around with his utility belt, Izuku pulled out a few disks that he stuffed back into his belt before finding a disk with a red center. Pressing that red center, Izuku threw it at the robot before jumping over the girl's body, but she was terrified for her dear life the whole time.
A few more seconds passed and the disk exploded, blasting the robot away from the two, but also blasting part of the rubble away and Izuku's back. After that explosion rung out, the test was immediately stopped, allowing the heroes to go to the scene.
One of the heroes, Recovery Girl tapped Izuku's body with her cane, making it nudge but getting no reaction from him or the girl that was under him. Looking back at the two heroes with the elderly woman, they grabbed Izuku and the brown-haired girl.
"I'll go check for more casualties, those two are just unconscious and the boy has a minor burn on his back. Leave them in my office and I'll get to them when I can." She said as the no-name hero carried the two carefully to the Nurse's office
An hour later, Izuku woke up with a pain in his back and got up to feel his back scorching. But then, he realized all the stupid stuff he just did to be a hero. Looking around himself, he saw a curtain to his left and a desk where an elderly woman was sitting.
"Oh, you're awake." She said as Izuku sat on the edge of the bed. "Good job, you managed to give yourself a first-degree burn that I barely healed with the energy you had left."
Noting her sarcasm, Izuku's head hung low as he thought about what Inko would do this time. Then he remembered his whole reason for injuring himself in the process. "S-Sorry, I don't d-do too well under p-pressure." He stuttered as the woman walked around his bed and pulled the curtain that was on Izuku's left.
Once the curtain was moved against the wall, he saw the brown-haired girl still unconscious. "If you're worried about this girl, she's fine and will be up less than an hour." Recovery Girl said before she went back to her desk. "But you're up way earlier than expected, you should've woken up after her. Though with what Lure told me, this is normal for you."
"W-Wait, Kaa-san called?" He asked nervously as he grabbed his stuff that was placed at the base of his bed. "I-I have to go. Sorry!" He shouted before running out of the UA buildings and straight toward the train, leaving Recovery Girl in her office with an unconscious girl.
"Does he know that... No, it's nearly impossible to realize that. No one his age would even think that something like this would be happening to him." Mumbled the elderly woman as she returned to her desk to do her work.
~ Am I making cliffhangers? ~
A/N: Alright, the chapter's word count has improved, but this will be the average length of each chapter. Also if you pay attention, I actually plan this out a bit more than usual and even add in some details that make sure Izuku isn't too overpowered.
Question
How powerful do you think Izuku is in this story? (Ex. Super Op or Fairly Strong) And why?
Rant Session (Skip if you don't want to know how I'm making Izuku's power limited.)
First of all, his mask is battery powered and is easily short-circuited. The EMP blast near the end actually shut down the mask, but it didn't destroy anything and was rebooting, in a sense.
Pina, or the Personalized Intelligent Network Assistant, isn't a complicated AI and is quite crude. Pina isn't a self-aware AI, instead, she's a reactive AI, so she takes orders and can't think on her own. Also, she used GPS imaging to help Izuku and tracking a signal is how people call each other over the phone or how someone finds their phone after they lose it.
And Izuku's personality. This is actually a bit tricky to do for me, but I'm trying to get a good balance of heroic yet scared like the canon version. Of course, Izuku's instincts are the 'heroic' side of him at the moment while he is frantic and nervous in battle. If you paid close attention, you noticed that he fumbled around with his utility belt and actually pulled out the wrong gadget twice.
Rant Over! See You Next Time, Lovelies~
