"Ha! Deku, you think you can get into UA!" Shouted a junior high student with spiky, sandy blonde hair and red eyes. "You don't even have a Quirk!" He said, mocking another student.
Shuffling back against the wall, a green-haired student shorter than the average person, but in the same exact uniform as the blonde. Once the boy was against the wall, he lowered his head and shook his head very subtly to hide his face.
"You won't even stand up for yourself!" The angry blonde taunted as the two people behind him snickered as well.
"Y-You want me to stand up for myself?" The green-haired boy stuttered as she shakily got up, a hand behind his back and the other on his knee. "I-Is that what you what, Ka-Katsuki?"
Realizing what he said, the blonde looked at the boy with a sickening grin before raising his arm and making explosions in his palm. "Oh, please show us what you can do. Deku." He said grimly as he made a final, loud explosion in his palm.
Raising his head, the green-haired boy glared at the three students as he pulled out a handheld taser from behind his back. Immediately, he jumped at the blonde boy and used a low voltage setting to incapacitate him, getting rid of his biggest obstacle.
Then, looking at the two lackeys, he held his taser and looked at them fiercely. Without a second to spare, the two turned around and made a break for the door. But the boy chased them down and was surprisingly fast, fast enough to kick the skinnier boy down and use his taser on the other. Quickly, he stomped his foot on the back of the other and shocked him too, incapacitating all three of his bullies.
"That five thousand yen was worth it," the boy mumbled as he went back to his seat to grab his bag while placing his taser back into its sheath, hidden under his uniform. Looking back at the three unconscious boys, he made a mental note to send a letter to Katsuki's mother.
Leaving the class, the boy lowered his head and walked through the busy streets while he listened for every bit of information he got to hear. Taking his usual route, he decided to make a detour to visit the beach. Though everyone in the city saw it as a garbage dump, he could find a lot of useful parts for his new interest in making gadgets, albeit it was a slow process and he only had his taser (that he had yet to modify) and a mask that he was trying to add an AI to.
Eventually, he took a shortcut under a bridge that was trashed with graffiti and actual trash but still made for a good place to hide out bullies. Anyway, he was walking under the aforementioned bridge again but stopped right under it and stepped to the side.
'Kami, what is the terrible smell?' He thought as he looked around until he traced the scent to the storm drain. Keeping a hand behind his back, the smell got worse as rattling was heard from the drain.
After a few seconds, the smell became fouler than a garbage dump in the zoo. But a pile of sludge burst out of the storm drain, letting through more sludge that started to group up under the bridge. Once it seemed that it was all out of the drain, the green-haired boy lowered his head again and shook it to allow his hair to cover the top of his face.
Suddenly, the pile of sludge had a pair of eyes and a mouth coming out of it before turning around or the closest that a sludge monster could do. "Ah, a new flesh bag for me to use." It said as it tried to surround the boy and trap him into the corner.
Gritting his teeth, the boy grabbed his taser with his hand on the trigger. 'Sludge contains wastewater, that's enough to shock it.' He thought before pulling out his taser and holding down the trigger. Swiping the sludge with his taser in hand, the boy got out from under the bridge and saw the sludge somehow burned from the swipe, but didn't question the logic as he backed up slowly with his taser in front of him.
"Oh, you brat. I'll tear you apart limb by limb!" The sludge monster shouted before charging at the boy again. This time, the boy flipped a small hatch on his taser and pushed a small lever all the way down where a setting called 'kill' was inscribed next to it.
"You'll have to beat me first," he said as the monster held a grim smile as it lunged toward him, but the boy swiped at the sludge with a much higher voltage than before. This time, the monster was burned across its sludge body as it was frozen in place before all of the sludge lost whatever force kept it together, making it all fall to the ground.
Smiling at his work, the boy turned his taser back to its safer setting inscribed 'stun'. Looking around the trashed underpass, he found an empty two-liter soda bottle and stuffed as much of the sludge as he could into it, hopefully preventing any kind of revenge that he wasn't prepared for yet.
Leaving the situation once again with plans to protect himself from revenge later, the boy sheathed his taser once more before running toward the Dagobah Municipal Beach. And after a few minutes, he was on the access path of the beach, looking at the piles of trash that built up over the years. Glancing around the beach, he spotted an abandoned warehouse that he used as his workshop.
Making sure no one saw him, he ran toward his workshop and opened the door to see his desk full of parts, then his small lounge area in the adjacent corner from his desk. "Nothing's been moved, that's good." He mumbled to himself as he set down his backpack and pulled out his phone onto his desk. "Let's get started on those security cameras so I know when Katsuki wants his revenge."
With a plan of action set, he sat at his desk with a broken watch and his mask that he still had yet to finish modifying. So, he ran toward to the beach and started his search for parts, until he remembered that he didn't bring his bag.
After a while of searching and going back to his workshop a few times, he found a few broken cameras and plenty of spare parts that would at least jumpstart his security system. And within an hour, he made a prototype design with a network that he managed, connected directly to his computer that he made himself, though he planned to make a lot of adjustments to it.
But during the building of the first prototype, he heard a distant explosion and turned the television on, only to have an emergency news report as the first thing that blasted on the tv. Setting down the project, Izuku grabbed his mask, phone, and bag before running to the incident the news was covering.
'I'm going to kill that slime for real this time!' He screamed in his head as he continued to run toward the incident, only to see a crowd of civilians blocking his way. Looking around, he could barely see some heroes pushing the civilians away from the scene and the actual scene was a fire in the middle of the street. 'Sludge can't make fire or a spark, so it either got an accomplice or...' Thinking about the monster, the boy remembered his first encounter and feared for the worst.
So, he pushed through the crowd with his somewhat short build until he was at the front of the crowd and saw a mess of spiky blonde hair coupled with a mass amount of explosions. Again, he looked around to see a bunch of news stations broadcasting the event, so he slipped on his mask to hide his face before dashing toward the sludge monster.
"Kid! Get back!" One of the heroes shouted as the monster turned around the face the kid, who kept a hand behind his back and the other outstretched to grab something.
"It's you again!" The monster shouted as it forced Katsuki's arms to point toward the boy, making the blonde look on with a face filled with anger. But before anyone knew it, explosions rung out and smoke covered the boy.
Yet the boy kept charging with one of the lenses of his face mask shattered. Ignoring the slight burn from the explosions, he pulled out his taser and swiped at the sludge again, burning it from the shock. Then, he pulled out Katsuki and threw him onto the floor before setting his taser to 'kill' and pushing the conduits into the sludge, continually shocking the monster as it lost form once again.
This time, the sludge revealed Katsuki's lackeys unconscious within the sludge, so the heroes immediately grabbed the kids that were held hostage by the monster. But another hero going by the name Mt Lady stopped the green-haired boy from leaving the scene.
"Who do you think you are?" She asked, towering over the boy naturally, but even more so with her heels.
Raising his head, the woman could see the broken lens of his mask and his left eye shut closed with blood dripping down over it. "Someone doing your job." He replied as he pushed himself away and started to run with his taser in hand.
"Wait! Let me help you!" She shouted as she chased after him, but lost him after a few twists and turns between alleys and regular streets. Cursing under her breath, the woman glanced around at her surroundings before leaving the area to join the other heroes at the scene once more.
Now the boy listened closely as the clicks of the woman's heel became more and more distant. With one last glance around the alley he cornered himself into, he took off his mask and wiped the blood off his face. But he was more concerned about his mask since a broken lens will hinder him slightly and may never be perfectly repaired.
But he put his mask into his bag and put away his taser once more before starting a cautious walk back to his apartment, instead of his workshop. And a while later, he was at the door to his apartment and opened it to see no one there as usual. Passing a family picture, he took off his shoes and set down his bag near the door.
With nothing else to do, he sat down in the living room and turned on the tv, only for another news report to start up. "We are here today at the incident of the Sludge Villain where three junior high students were held as hostages. Thankfully, a masked hero quickly stepped in and defeated the villain while the other heroes kept the civilians safe."
Listening to the reporter, the boy watched as they played back footage taken by one of the helicopters at the scene. He saw the explosion that erupted right in his face and was for once glad that his body was used to them. But he also saw the interviews with civilians that were in the crowd along with Katsuki's own interview that derailed the boy of any heroic act.
"Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for watching, but for now, the police station will dig up all they can from this masked hero that they've called Shockwave. If you have any information about this 'Shockwave' person, please report it to your local police station."
Grumbling under his breath, the boy was annoyed with the name but also that he'll have to hide out, especially since Katsuki will probably report him immediately. But he turned off the tv and pulled out a piece of paper as he wrote a letter to Mitsuki Bakugo, Katsuki's mother. Once he was finished he put the letter in an envelope, grabbed his stuff, and clipped his letter to his mailbox.
Leaving once again, he walked from his apartment toward his workshop, but his phone rang and just the caller ID sent a shiver down his spine. "Hello, Kaa-san?"
"Izuku, I saw what happened." She said sternly over the phone as Izuku slowed his pace.
"A-Am I in trouble?" He asked nervously.
"No, in fact, I'll be coming back to Japan to see you." She replied in a sickeningly sweet tone as another shiver went down Izuku's spine. "I'll see you in two days and if you do something like this again, I'll bring your father to Japan."
At that moment, Izuku prayed for his dear life as he sprinted to his workshop, one of the few places he felt safe. So, he slipped off his bag at the entrance as all the lights were out for some reason. Unbuttoning his uniform jacket to reveal a black undershirt, Izuku flipped the lights on to see someone at his desk.
"Hello, Izuku Midoriya~"

A/N: Welcome to another story that's going to feel much more different than my other stories where my mc is overpowered with no equal. It'll will go quite fast and may be unreasonable at times, but either read my Author Notes for explanations or pay close attention.
